Things were not going well in Finna's world. Her days lately were about as gray as the sky that hung over her head. The low rumble of thunder had been echoing through the lands for hours already. There was only one place she could go after that conversation with Erykk.. He hadn't been wrong though.. She had demanded something of him, and she had brought it upon herself. She couldn't even be mad at him. But her heart was broken, and she had no idea what to do to fix it. Even her conversation with Canicah had been less than what she'd been hoping for.
So her paws carried her to familiar grounds. She hardly realized she had walked the full distance until she looked up. Her ice blue eyes looking over her family's den. She had lots of good memories of this den, growing up and enjoying life. She had been booted from it when they were exiled, forever losing what she considered her safe place. Or so she assumed. Once her family was allowed to return, everything had just sort of fallen back into place.
"Momma?" She called hesitantly. She didn't want to surprise anyone, least of all her sweet mother.
"Please be home, please be home.." She whispered, her heart in her chest. If she didn't have her mother right now, she was sure she was just going to curl up and die.
