Tollak hadn't been back in the pride for very long before he had been asked to come along on yet another viking. Clearly, he was living up to his name if the older reavers were finally able to recognize his long unacknowledged talent. The little grey lion did not hesitate in answering "yes" to coming along, and he was glad to get back out into rogue lands.

This time around, he decided, he would find awesome treasure. His first viking he had collected some feathers and a throwing stone, but today he was aiming higher!

When the chance revealed itself that the band he was with decided to split up and cover more ground for searching, Tollak sprung away and began sniffing around the forest. He wanted to catch a thrall, or maybe find a nice pelt to bring back with him. Something that screamed "I'm valuable!"

He had little idea he was going to run into someone while searching however, let alone who that someone would be.

Snorting and growling to himself, Wa Molo'o was hardly in the mood for any mortal encounters, yet he didn't take flight or creep into hiding when he caught scent of a nearby lion. Instead, he paused and considered his options. Surely not every mortal would be rude and all attack-y, right? Some had to be polite.

Growling a little to himself, he decided to simply wait and see what happened. He could always fly or teleport away if things became too annoying.

Moving out into a patch of dappled sunlight, the god of Drought sat, wings and tails both twitching. All right, he thought. Let's see how this plays out.

When Tollak first laid eyes on the god he blinked.

Then blinked again.

He had grown up having heard of the gods, in passing of course since his childhood consisted of honing his fighting skills. He knew they were highly regarded beings, beings who could change things about the world as he knew it.

He also knew that as legend had it stormborn all were descendants of gods themselves. This begged to question if his own father was a god. Hmm. He had never considered that before.

Remembering where he was standing the adolescent moved a little closer to the god, inspecting him almost.

"What are you?" He asked. "I haven't seen a lion with wings or horns like that before." In Tollak's mind there was a possibility that this lion, this god, was just rogue. Tollak hadn't met any lions outside of the stormborn either, and although he knew the ones brought back as thralls tended to be tiny who was to say giant rogues didn't exist either?

Blinking slowly, Wa suddenly felt a desire to laugh loud, hard and long. Already this was very different from his last encounter with a mortal. Still, rather than risk offending or causing hurt feelings, he reined in his mad desire to laugh and adopted an expression of utmost serenity.

"What am I?" he repeatedly softly. "I suppose you would call me a god. Many of us tend to have wings and horns. I take it that I am the first god you've ever encountered?"

As he spoke, he was busy studying this young lion, taking in the oddly braided mane and markings. And the obvious wiry strength. This lion was young, but he was tough. How interesting.

"What's your name, young'un? Come and talk with me. I don't mind a healthy curiosity so long as you stay polite."

A grin overcame the small lion's face as he was satisfied to hear the god admit what he was. "So you are a god!" He said with glee.

Tollak was already looking forward to the journey home, if only because he could show off to his family that he had met such a being. If there was one thing, one nasty habit that the adolescence truly relished in it was gloating to his brother over his own success. Stigyr was nothing but a bookworm in Tollak's mind. A useless bookworm who couldn't even fight. Even Dagny knew how to fight, and although she was a mint-maker and not a reaver she was still Tollak's sister who was far better, in his mind, then his brother.

He walked near the god now, and continued to gaze upon him with all his childish youth. He wondered if those horns were apart of the god himself, or if they were battle trophy's that he chose to wear.

"I'm Tollak." He said, "I'm a viking reaver. What's your name?"

Fighting back a grin, the Drought god inclined his head towards Tollak in a courtly bow.

"I am pleased to make your acquaintance, Tollak. My name is Wa Molo'o. And I am indeed a god. My domain is Drought. And... viking, hrmm?"

Golden eyes narrowed at the word. This time, he did smile. It seemed he was getting a little closer to his destination.

"I see, I see. Tell me, Tollak. How far are we from your lands? I'm a bit of a wanderer, you see. I enjoy new sights."

Mindful of his encounter with a different viking, Wa decided to dangle a bit of prime meat (metaphorically speaking) and see what happened.

"I've heard a little bit about vikings, you see and I am quite curious. I can offer you a bit of my mane as a trophy for information, if you like. Or if you'd prefer to escort me and see that I keep out of trouble," Wa grinned and offered the younger lion a wink. "I'm sure your elders would be quite impressed. You seem a sensible sort to me."

If this youngster was of the same pride as Kitwana, Wa had no doubt that the offer of a trophy from a god would net him decent results. And if he was very lucky, the thought of escorting a god would light up Tollak's imagination.

Tollak attempted to give a bow of his head, afterwords promptly shoving his braid out of his face. His mane was growing with each passing day and in doing so it continued to make it difficult to keep from shrouding his eyes. As per tradition he braided the longest of his fur back, and now had added one upon his face as well. They both seemed to come undone frequently and it was a bother to re-braid them.

"We're not that far." Tollak told the god. He wasn't sure about bringing a god of drought to their pride, but maybe a lack of storms would be good for a while. It would certainly make him feel better. "A few hours travel that way, and we will arrive at the borders."

"Escorting you is no trouble. I'll make sure no reavers bother you. Would you give me a bit of your mane for doing that then?" He felt lucky that this god was willingly offering him up a trophy. He'd have something nice to decorate his den with and could proudly retell stories of his meeting the god.

It was a win-win situation.

"Most excellent," Wa clapped massive forepaws together in delight. "I assure you that I can behave myself and my powers shouldn't trouble you or yours."

Grinning hugely, the dark furred god managed to catch a bit of his mane in his mouth and then swiped his claws through the hank, shearing it away neatly. Then, he dropped the mouthful of fur onto a handy leaf.

"Consider it done, my young friend. Bit of fur and bragging rights for a few hours of your time. Can't get much fairer than that."

Humming softly to himself, he sat back and thought that really, it was very lucky that he'd run into Tollak. And even luckier that the youngster had been so agreeable.

Success! Tollak felt pleased as he went to retrieve his new treasures before walking alongside the god in pleasure. Certainly his band wouldn't be missing him too much would they? He doubted it, and besides they could easily enough stop by the captain to explain that Tollak was heading back prematurely on the viking.

He figured it wouldn't take him that long to fix the leaf carrying his present into a bag of some sort, and with that in mind nodded to the god in telling he'd only be a few moments longer before they could leave.

Finding some sort of string was easy when your mane was as thick as it. Tollak yanked out one of his own hairs to help his new creation come to life. Boy, he couldn't wait to see the look on his family's faces when they saw him as he brought a god home. He would gladly bask in the glory and praise that he had no doubts he would receive for accomplishing such a feat!

Ah, he had finished his bag. The grey lion swung the creature over his head and was pleased as it stayed in place. "Ready?" He asked the god. The trip would be feel like nothing, Tollak assumed, as he would have this new creature to entertain him.

Looking at it now his Viking had been successful. Successful, and without violence. This made it a very interesting viking, to say the least.

Sure! This is the last from me then. :3

Waiting patiently for Tollak to secure his gift, Wa simply watched and stretched leisurely. He had no doubt that Tollak would be a pleasant enough companion for the few hours it would take to reach the borders of the pride. Once he saw that the younger lion was settled, he smiled and nodded agreeably.

"Quite ready. Lead on, young'un."

Easily keeping pace with Tollak, Wa Molo'o thought that really, this had been a very interesting day. And once he reached Stormborn lands, it would be even more interesting.
