Personalities: Brandon tends to be on the quieter side, most of the time. He'll talk, but he doesn't go out of his way for conversation most of the time. He's polite when he does converse, amicable for the most part, but the longer you know him the more he tends to dip into sarcasm and dry humor. He's a little mean spirited when it comes to his closest friends, pointing out stupid actions without a second though, but he never means it to actually hurt you. Loyal, no matter the stupid thing you've done, he'll stick with you to the end even if it does involve a few insults on his part. He's honestly a general sweetheart, with a huge soft spot for his friends, although he tries to hide it with his terrible humor. He cares a little too much and it bleeds through, in the ways he tries to help whenever it's needed. Although he tends to be alone he's not a loner, not by any stretch, but he doesn't try to force his way into conversation. It'll come to him or if he really wants to, he'll find someone to talk to.
He's intelligent, although his accent is thick enough to cut with a knife, and if you give him enough time he'll talk about his interests. Mechanics is a passion of sort for him, he'd love to sit and tinker with things and his former laptop was filled with designs for stuff. He's quite good at cars and not half bad at phones and computers, but there's not much of a chance for him to work on them anymore. Reading is another thing he enjoys, mostly young adult lit (he is a sucker for those love triangles although he'd never quite admit it) that dips into the end of the adult range. He prefers fantasy, has read the occasional classic, and finds sci-fi fascinating if not always something he's interested in. He's sometimes victim to reading those silly sappy love stories, but he makes sure he keeps those well hidden.
Brandon's not one to anger quickly, he has a high tolerance for annoyance and stupidity, although he may roll his eyes at the actions if he knows you well enough. The voice of reason, he's often the kid who's telling others to not do that one stupid thing, although if he has a soft enough spot for you he can easily be dragged along into it. Endlessly patient, he's great at teaching and if you honestly really want the help, he's the person to go to. Brandon does have a limit though and when he's angry, it's best to get out of his way.
Ena tries to get Brandon out of his shell and get him to be more impulsive, to do more things. She's energetic and doesn't think things through, always bounding from action to action. She thinks Brandon's general soft spot for his friends is a weakness and tries to get him to toughen up, which often causes them to throw insults around at each other for awhile. She's extremely hotheaded but she's just as easy to cool as she is to anger. All in all, they get along well although they have their minor spats.
Why did your human character choose to become a Hunter? Taylor and Brandon had both always been able to see the shadowy things when they were young. Told that what they were seeing was just their imaginations, they kept quiet about it as they grew up, realizing that it wasn't something that was to be talked about. Life went on normally, until the twins went to college.
Taylor had told him she was just going out for the night with her sorority. That she'd be back later, and he had better been around, because he had something in his room that she wanted. Some article of clothing she left behind last time she crashed. He thought nothing of it, it was a fairly normal thing she did on Fridays.
He did want some food later, though, so he drove out to grab something cheap. While on his way back on one of the more rural roads, he thought he saw Taylor getting attacked by the shadowy things. When he jumped out to go help though, they all disappeared. He searched in the area for an hour, unable to find his sister and fairly certain that she was gone. A walk to a bar and a fake ID found Brandon with some alcohol. Another five hours found a guy with a fancy coat giving him an offer. Entirely certain Taylor was gone, Brandon accepted.

Physical Description: Eye Colour: Grey blue Hair Colour/Style: Red head, straight hair that's cut short with some bangs that peek out of his beanie. The barest start of a beard growing on him. Skin Colour: Farmer's tan with freckles Clothing Style/Colours: Browns, creams, blues. Practical clothing, jeans tucked into cowboy boots. Some sort of beanie. Printed shirt, necklace with two silver bands on it. A silver ring on his left ring finger. His coat should have a hood and rolled up sleeves, otherwise it's CC! Grey blue scarf, matches his eyes. Extra: He's not super muscular, but a little more built than the average. Pretty average height His weapon should be pretty simple, with some blue glowing runes across the blade. Nothing fancy! Family June Millbrooke Brandon's mother. Forty two, mostly sensible, has more than enough trouble raising the family. His mother is a home-maker, but still helps on the farm when she can.
Daniel Millbrooke Brandon's Father. Forty, a hardworking man but still with a sense of humor. The opposite of his mother, he's jokes and a calm force in the house when their mother is angry. He's the main force on the farm and loves his job. Brandon takes after him the most.
Taylor Annabeth Millbrooke Brandon's twin, born a minute after him. Not identical, but they look nearly alike.
Maxine Lilly Millbrooke A fourteen year old terror in the form of Brandon's youngest sister. Has a sharp tongue and temper, causes the most trouble out of the pair.
Samantha Anne Millbrooke Brandon's younger sister and Maxine's twin, a fourteen year old girl who is much more level headed than her sister. Quieter and more likely to pull Maxine in when she gets out of control. Brandon and Sam are very close and are often considered the level headed pair of the house.
History
Ages 1-5 -Brandon and Taylor are born March 10th to June and Daniel Millbrooke. They're typical babies, although they sometimes seem to be upset by things that aren't there. Their parents think little of it and simply calm them down. -Around age two, Brandon and Taylor start helping out on the farm. It's easy tasks, but it helps get them adjusted to the life. -Brandon and Taylor start kindergarten when they're five, their only interaction they can get with other kids in a farming town outside of play dates their parents previously set up. -Soon after they start school, they start questioning their parents about the shadowy things. The other kids at school can't see them, why can they? Their parents, confused and slightly creeped out, tell them nothing there and it's just their imaginations. After a few more incidents with the other kids, they quickly learn to shut up about whatever the things are.
Ages 6-10 -Maxine and Samantha are born when Brandon and Taylor are six. Brandon and Taylor start helping out more on the farm. -Taylor and Brandon get more adjusted in school, but the shadowy things begin to get... weirder. More noticeable. They do their best to ignore them and succeed.
Ages 11-15 -When the twins are eleven a family moves in to the formerly abandoned property near theirs. When they go over to greet the new neighbors, it's discovered they have a boy named Theodore that's around their age although he prefers to go by Carlton. -Carlton, Brandon, and Taylor are all extremely fast friends and get along famously in school. While Carlton and Taylor are quick to start trouble, Brandon reels them back in, although they occasionally drag Brandon into it too. -The twins have an incident with the shadowy things when they're thirteen, upon where they try to interact with the twins. Carlton, unfortunately around at the moment, sees them scared of apparently nothing. Once they're dragged Carlton away to a safe spot and explain, Carlton puzzles it out for a moment before shrugging and believing them, figuring it to be just some sixth sense. -When they're fourteen, Carlton and Taylor start dating. Brandon is jealous for awhile and can't figure out why. Upon Brandon's fifteenth birthday, he realizes why. He talks it out with the pair and starts dating Carlton in a polyamorous relationship. He and Taylor dance around each other for half a year in a weird game of 'is this incest?' before realizing no, it's not considering they aren't dating each other, and calming down. They hide their relationship, Carlton and Taylor never really talking about it in the first place and no one is the wiser.
Ages 16-19 -The twins and Carlton try to go through a rebellious phase, or as much as kids can when they grow up on a farm. It's short lived and mostly gives way to Taylor and Carlton dragging Brandon along to go on adventures when they can drive. -When they're sixteen, they get a set of matching rings as an early birthday gift for Carlton. It's cheesy, yet they all wear them when they can. -All three of them graduate from high school and get accepted to Texas State University in San Marcos. It's an exciting and happy time, for a little bit. -During the summer of their eighteenth year, Carlton disappears. No one can find him, he's simply disappeared without a trace. Everyone mourns, the twins the most devastated of all. -They twins go to college and continue onward, but they still hope Carlton will show up one day. After a year of trying, they quietly accept his probable death and mourn before moving on.
Age 20 -Taylor goes out one Friday night with her sorority, telling Brandon she'll be back later. He agrees, asks her to not stay out forever as she has something he wants to get from her. -Later that night, Brandon goes out to get some food by himself. While driving on a back road, he sees what looks like Taylor getting ambushed by the shadowy things. He jumps out and chases after her, but it simply looks like she was taken by them and is gone. He searches for an hour, before accepting that she's gone, and in absolute misery walks to a bar. -In the meantime, Taylor arrives back to the dorms after her night out. She finds Brandon gone, figured he went to get food or crash with a friend and decides to go back to her dorm and sleep. -One fake ID and five hours later, Brandon's approached at the bar by some guy in a fancy coat who has an invitation coupled with an explanation. His twin gone, Brandon accepts. -The next day, Taylor wakes up around noon and realizes Brandon's still not back. She calls his friends and finds out they haven't seen or heard from him since last night. In a panic, she calls her parents and when they tell him he's not back home, they call the police. Brandon's truck is found on a back road, although it's off and has gas. There's a search out for Brandon, but it ends quickly after two weeks of finding nothing. Taylor pleads with her parents to try harder, but they refuse. -Taylor stops talking with her family, mostly angry and upset. She's now lost two of the people she loves, and she's unsure what to do. When an offer comes a week later, she accepts.
Misc. -Carlton was the only one who could call him Branflakes. -How Brandon's mom managed to get away with two sets of twins, the world may never know. It does run in the family though, as June herself had a pair of twin sisters. -The rings between the twins are because of Carlton. Originally it was just the matching gold set between the three, but when Carlton disappeared Brandon gave his and Carlton's found ring to Taylor as something to make her feel better. He went and got the rings recast in silver, because as much as he didn't want to admit it, he wanted the set too. It did cost him, but to him it was necessary. -Brandon and Taylor were born and raised in Fischer, Texas. They went to college in San Marcos, Texas. -Brandon and Taylor were both majoring in Mechanical Engineering. They were both quite good at it, surprisingly.
