Welcome to this contest for the lovely (and only) golden cub in the litter this time round.

Rules!
1. Be fair and nice to all <3
2. This is one of my favorite families, so I am looking for RP ;; You don't have to be super active or anything, but I'd like some progression/plots and family RP for him.
3. He must stay in the Pridelands.
4. I reserve the right not to give him out if there is no suitable winner (highly unlikely!)
5. The family all have sunshiney-related names, it would be cool to see that but it's not a requirement. <3

Mbari (Dad) - Zosie - Mbari has always been a little paranoid and socially anxious. He can often worry about his cubs but his mate Alili has been great in getting him to loosen up, he even playfights now! He's a new messenger and he's not great but he's getting there. He might be a little accidentally over-protective but he's very family orientated.

Alili (Mom) - Zosie - Boisterous, good natured and a good fighter, she's a soldier in the Pridelands but values her family more than anyone knows. She'll probably have a little rough n' tumble with the cubs and teach them to spar! She has a rather bizarre accent that seems to omit a lot of the last or first consonants in words.

Machwa - Sunset - Zosie (Rust coloured adol sister) - Motivated, gentle and thoughtful, Machwa is determined to carry on her grandmothers hunting legacy from her youth and wants to be a strong head huntress. She's a considerate and kind soul and wouldn't let harm come to anyone.

Alizeti - Sunflower - Zosie (Gold sister WITHOUT head markings) - A ray of absolute sunshine who is very sweet indeed, however she can be a little change adverse and prefers to stick to what she knows. She will have to adjust to having a bigger family but will be the sweetest big sister.

Jioni- Dusk- Velveteen Angel (Black older brother) A little boisterous boy who wants to follow his mama's pawprints, but he's...a bit of a wuss at times. He'll gladly play wrestle but if he gets a boo-boo, he'll race back to his parents for some TLC. He's not above cuddles and being wussy, but he's out for adventure, just most of the adventure is a bit more than he can handle at this point.

Leeora - Sunshine - Kimaria (Older golden sister with white forehead marking) ??? - Also a very sweet lioness!

Ochao - Dawn - LSX (Golden brother) The overprotective big brother figure of the litter, he is concerned for his siblings, but only because he loves them!

Demani'jua - Autumn Sun - Zosie (Caramel littermate)- Often sheepish and shy, he's fond of stories where he can escape within his own mind.

Rosalva - Rose of the Sun - Zosie (Red girl littermate) A trouble-maker but with a good heart, follows in her mamas pawprints and loves sparring, she will be a soldier.

There are a few short prompts you can choose from to enter for this lovely boy.

1. Your mom is good-loving and boisterous, and your dad can be quite paranoid and shy at times, often socially anxious. Your siblings are a mixture of all in between. How do you deal with the different family dynamic? Does it balance itself out? Are there moments when it becomes difficult?
2. Someone was really mean to you! It's the first time another cub has been such a meanie... and you feel hurt! What do you do?
3. Mama has got a small injury during sparring, nothing serious but your father seems to be panicking. What do you do? Do you agree with him?

Name and meaning: Ilo (Sunshine)
Personality: Ilo is quiet and calm, he tends to sit back and watch his surroundings instead of interacting with others he tends to sit back on his own. He is very gentle in nature and at times a little on the emotional side of things. When others around him are hurt he is hurt.
Future plot ideas: As a cub Ilo will have trouble making friends, he sticks close to his mother and father, and his quieter siblings. Despite his families best efforts he just doesn't come out of his shell.
As an adolescent Ilo will meet a girl. He wil have known here for awhile, watching her in his quiet (not creepy) way. He will have wanted to approach her for a long time but never quite have the courage to do so.
As an adult the female will finally notice Ilo and make it her personal mission to bring Ilo out of his shell. She won't succeed, but she will fall in love with his quiet shy ways.
Prompt response: When Mama came back to the den injured Ilo could see how worriend and upset his father was. And it made a ball of dread fill up the young cubs stomach. Ilo slowly moved to his Mama, avoiding his rough housing siblings to slide up close to his mother. He asks her quietly how badly her paw hurts, and while he waits for her answer curls up into her side careful not to touch her paw, hoping that his mere presence will make her feel just a touch better. He is worried about her but not to the state of panic that his father is. Ilo is sensitive and calm, and the panic his father has is just too much energy for this small empathetic cub.

Name and meaning: Wingu (Cloud) - I couldn't resist that xD
Personality: Wingu often feels adrift, like an actual cloud. It's not that his head's in the clouds, a pun he's not unfamiliar with, but that he's drifting here adn there with no set place. He lacks confidence in himself, unsure of what his path will be. He's not afraid of things like his father, but he doesn't feel he's brave like his mother. He's... Unsure.
Future plot ideas: Eventually Wingu will find his path - It'll remain in the Pridelands, as a Messenger. He'll also find a mate within the pride, somebody who knows the land... Somebody he'd be comfortable with.
Prompt response: Wingu found a spot to settle, where he could watch his pridemates come and go. There were many.. So many. But his attention was, most of all, on his direct family. His father was afraid of quite a lot, and paranoid, while his mother... Was not. His brothers and sisters all fell somewhere in the middle. So where was he in there?

The golden cub rolled over onto his back, watching for a moment as the clouds went by, before he looked at the upside-down world going by. He loved his family. He loved how they were all so different, yet still similar. It was... Comforting, and still had a spice to it. Life was good with different flavors, different notes, and when they shared similarities... It was comforting. He couldn't help but smile. He wasn't sure where he was in that spectrum, but he knew... He was different but similar, in a comforting way.

Name and meaning: Mkali moja 'Bright One'
Personality: Mkali is almost, always enthusiastic, care-free, upbeat, and more importantly he conveys it to all those around them. It's very hard not to like Mkali with his golden heart and pure soul. His bright personality simple enlightens everyone who comes across him. He is always thinking of the brighter and better things in life, cause to him the glass is always half full. He will always put a smile on even when he is hurt just to make the situation around him a little better.

I am going to put an interesting twist on him by having him be slightly bi-polar and not in a very bad way. He will have a slight other side that seems to be as blue as his other eye. He can't help but feel a little soft and tender to others he cares about. He may not show it but when he hurts it's as though those words are remembered forever. I hope as his character grows and experiences situation this side will become dominant for a while till he can break through the dark times and into the light.
Future plot ideas: I tend to really rp him in tough situations that really test his bright personality, at one point I want him to hit a real rock bottom where he will need to find someone to show him how to smile again and be happy. He will always stay in the pridelands and I hope to find a rank to match his personality and where he can really shine. I also must have family rp!!!

Mkali was making his way back home when he started to find himself thinking about what had happened this morning.

"It's okay Dad don't worry she will be alright" Mkali said as he padded up and nuzzled his head into his dads side. He could still remember his father pacing back and forth in front of his mother. He was always so worried and Mkali felt as though his dad needed his comfort more then his mother did. She had injured herself sparring but Mkali always admired her strength and she did not seem to bothered. "I'm sure mom will become stronger you must not worry" he said in a soft soothing voice. He walked over and checked on her mom it did not seem serious and he knew she would be sparring probably the next sunrise. He knew his dad worried more then he should about things but he also appreciated that he cares and loves them so much and that is why he worries. He loved that about his family each were so unique and special in they're own way and he felt comfort that it made them complete, no matter how dysfunctional it may seem. It was madness that worked for them even in the hardest moments.

As his thoughts wondered about his family he could not help but not pay attention to where he was heading. Unfortunately for him he hit his paw on a stone and he felt his body fall forwards with a small thud. Next he knew he could feel the grass against his cheek and the taste of dirt in his mouth.

"Haha look at dirt eater" Came the vicious voice of another cub. Mkali picked himself up and shook off the dirt, when he turned his head he could see a group of cubs looking at him and laughing. A sudden pain went through his chest as he watched the onlookers who were now shouting out dirt eater at him. He had never had someone be mean to him, let alone so many others, he flicked his tail as though sweeping away the emotion and smiled. He smiled at them as though it did not bother him and decided it was funny, he had just eaten some dirt. He let his laughter pour out from his chest as he gave off another sill shake before smiling again and walking off into the direction of home. He did not even need to look back at them as he could already feel their smiles. He had turned a very awkward and embarrassing moment into one they could laugh about, who know maybe he could run into them again and laugh about it.

As he walked home he felt his pride swell with happiness, he had managed to overcome something he had never experienced before. He even had a story he could go back home with and tell to his siblings, he was sure they would laugh just like he did. Besides everything is better when you smile.

Name and meaning: Maawio; Sunrise
Personality: This boy is just as his families name would suggest, a big ball of sunshine. He is almost always happy and enjoys making others happy as well! Telling silly jokes is one of his favorite things! Though, they are not very imaginitive, enough of them will make anyone smile! He also enjoys playing games and running around with any cubs that are in the area, enjoying games like tag and hide and seek.
Future plot ideas: To make lots of others happy is the biggest goal right now! I'm sure he'll have other things he'll want to get done as well.

Maawio loves his family to bits. There is really no other way to explain it. Though most think that the more somber end of his family would be grating on him, he enjoys it very much. This simply means that he has lions to always try to make happy! After all, he tries to bring happiness to the rest of the pride, so why would he not enjoy bringing happiness to his own family? Sometimes, when his father is being particularly somber and bringing down the rest, it can be a bit difficult to try and handle. After all, he can only handle so much on his own, but he's always happy to try and bring the mood up. Most times he suceedes! Which ALWAYS makes him happy in return.

Name and meaning: Nyota (Star; Swahili)
Personality: Nyota took on a bit of both of his parents personalities. If he had grown up without his father's constant fussing, he would've been a confident lion with only the ideals of a soldier on his mind. He would've been sure of his decisions and he would've (or so he likes to think) made his mother proud of him.
Unfortunately, Mbari is paranoid to the smallest of things and as a cub growing up, that rubbed off on Nyota quite frequently. The confidence he displayed as a young cub drifted away into anxiety as he grew older. He began to fear for his family, as Mbari did and in order to prevent any harm from coming to them, he decided on the rank he wanted to pursue. He was light on his feet and agile too, so he made a prime candidate for a Scout. That was it, that was what he was going to do. He'd see any enemies coming from miles away and he would run back to the pride to have the soldiers chase them out. Yes, yes, this was a perfect plan.
Future plot ideas: Protection - Nyota will likely band together with his other older/tougher siblings to help watch over their younger littermates. Between protecting his siblings and being paranoid about his own safety, hilarity could ensue. (He's likely to latch on Ochao the most.)
Scaredy Cats - Nyota's paranoia is strongest around his father, because he's learned to take all of his social cues from dear ol' dad. If Mbari's panicking, then so will Nyota. Maybe it's about time for father and son to sit down and have a talk about that.
A Scouting We Will Go - The adventures of the ever-paranoid Scout. Nyota will have to learn both not to run if he sees another creature prowling about the borders, but he must also learn that not everything outside of the Pridelands is going to kill him or his family. Most of these lessons will be taught by personal experience.
Prompt response: Prompt 3 - It wasn't unusual that Alili came back a little scraped up from a spar. Nyota's mother had won the match and had just been retelling the event to Nyota and his littermates, when in burst Mbari. Nyota spun around as he heard the loud intake of breath come from his father and his duel-colored eyes widened in alarm at the sight of it. Mbari was hysterical, or close to, and Nyota's fur began to bristle in response. He backed away, towards the safety of his siblings and stood behind Ochao and Rosalva.
Had he misunderstood? Was his father's anxiety warranted, in regards to his mother's injury? Was she going to DIE? His heart rate picked up and he let out a noise of distress. Oh why, oh why, oh why hadn't he noticed before? Oh, his mother had been hurt and he hadn't done anything! He was so foolish! He ought to protect her and his littermates more carefully! Next time, if there was one, he would not be so careless.

Name and meaning: Zoran Siberian name meaning ‘light of dawn’
Personality: Zoran is a very excited and playful young boy. He loves to wander off from his family and explore the rest of the world, always ready to get himself into trouble or adventure. An explorer by heart, he will try to drag the rest of his brothers and sisters along with him, hoping to liven things up.

He also enjoys pulling pranks upon his father as he enjoys seeing just how worked up he can make him get, he doesn’t just do this to his father either and they are harmless pranks. He likes to just cause general trouble for his father, though he does love him and would be sad if his father ever got hurt because of him.

Zoran will never grow out of his trouble maker nature, though he will mellow out some with age. He will always be an explorer by heart and love to figure things out for himself, as well as just going on an adventure.

He does tend to be a bit clumsy as a cub and has a hard time learning how to hunt, he also has a hard time sitting still for a long period of time. Because of this, it is why he has gone to wandering the lands as well as playing pranks on his family. He hides his lack of confidence by his humor, something he will never grow out of. He is often considered to not be serious because of this, which can be a bit taxing if something serious is going on.
Future plot ideas:
Playing pranks on his father, siblings and mother, one could end up being slightly dangerous, maybe this helps to mellow him out.

Clumsy as a cub and not very good at hunting, Zoran will have some self-esteem problems that he hides with humor. One of his elder siblings could take pity upon him and give him private hunting lessons.

As he grows older, when he is of age him going on an adventure, leaving the pride lands for a journey would be something I would love to do. He could meet new friends here as well as a mate to bring back home, but he will always return home, even bringing gifts for his family.

Zoran stalked near the edge of the water hole, his strange eyes staring out through the tall grass at a group of cubs. They had made fun of him earlier, commenting on his lack of hunting skills. He had tripped over his own feet as he had tried to chase after a rabbit, falling forward and tumbling down a small hill, ending up face first in a wart hog wallowing hole. He had gone home, sulking and brooding to himself, though he hid it as soon as his mother had seen him and started to clean him up, making a joke about having wanted to dye his fur. He sometimes wondered if she could see through him, but she never said anything.

Now, Zoran was ready to pay them back. He had tried to get his siblings to join him, but they had all refused. Well, he didn’t need them to take care of this, there was only one of the cubs who had really bothered him anyways. Dipping his head forward, Zoran managed to place the grass and feathered mask he had made onto his head. With this on, he looked like some strange monster. Outfitted and ready, Zoran let out a mewling sound, getting the attention of the other cubs. He shook his head, the grasses around him shaking as he moved and then, another mewling roar escaped him as he began to move forward. The cubs watched with trepidation at the moving grasses and they didn’t move until Zoran began to run. The cubs let out a cry and scrambled over one another to get away from whatever was running at them. They fell over one another and tumbled into the water. Zoran had to stop, the mask falling to the ground as he was laughing, suddenly doubled over onto the ground.

”You should have seen your faces!”

Now that the perceived danger was gone the other cubs stared at him and then began to laugh at one another, giggling and pointing out how silly they all had appeared. Zoran smiled as he sat up, joining in on the laughter, forgetting that he had done this for ‘revenge’. Laughing was the best part of his world.
