It had been awhile since his last session with either of his mentees. With the prospects of Nightshade coming up, he wanted to see about potentially recruiting one, if not both of them if possible. Shun went ahead and called up Lock, requesting to meet with him on the rooftop of the reaper dormitory. '

Lock thought meeting on the rooftop was kind of overdramatic, but he definitely wasn't one to stand Shun up for a meeting.
He assumed it would be another impossible task (he mumbled something about squeaky gym floorboards to himself on the way up). What would it be this time Shun? Jump off the roof and if you don't dissipate you succeed? Maybe he would have throw a shadow at a pin sized target from the roof.
Honestly he had very low expectations for this meeting.
Credit had to be given to Lock for even showing up though. There was that.

Turning once Lock had arrived, Shun placed his hands into his pockets, nodding once to the younger reaper in greeting. A moment's worth of silence passed before he spoke. "Good. You've come. There's something I wanted to discuss with you," he started, "An offer, even."

Lock approached, but stayed clear of the edges and didn't take his eyes off Shun once.

"Another alumni and I are putting together a group... an organization. Our purpose will be to create an information network, as well as to train and prepare for when s**t inevitably goes down," Shun began to explain, keeping an even tone as he spoke, "Is this something you would be interested in?"

Lock gave Shun a wary look.
"Hopefully you know you've trained me to require more detail than that."

"Of course."
Shun looked out over the edge of the building.
"Everything is still in the works, currently. We're working on the foundations. In short, we're tired of always being the canon fodder when conflict arises. The pawns. Our plan is to eventually build ourselves up enough to be a force to be reckoned with. To show that we are not to be trifled with; to not be used and tossed aside by their whims," he elaborated.
"Amrita will be handling the network side of things, while I will focus on the combat training and the like. Both knowledge and strength are needed, after all."

He pondered the given information for a moment. Lock wasn't the type to speak quickly; he wanted to consider what he'd been given, and investigate for more before he made a decision.
"You speak like Halloween isn't a powerful force." Lock was confused; he felt as though he hadn't seen as much as Shun. "Continue."

"Halloween has its powerful forces. But even then, we're still tossed to the wayside by the 'titans' if they so choose. Or they're just largely unhelpful regardless. There were no signs of any boogymen, for example, when Medea struck down Death."
