Antonio Reyes
Are you where you want to be?
Location: Lamia District - Streets
Antonio smiled not expecting Lilith to hear that comment he muttered earlier. She had quite the ears so he would need to be more careful about voicing his thoughts out. "I was born in this city," Antonio answered in quite the normal tone, "I know all about Amphitrite City and the five districts that it consists of." As they entered the busy streets with all the lights there were more couples out than families. There were also group of young adults and everyone was having a good time. There were many places to eat and there was nice Latin music playing in the background. Guitars, bongos, and maracas were heard everywhere creating amazing music. Some of the restaurants were outside with just a bar to serve people while others had people waiting in line or waiting to be seated.
"You know what makes Amphitrite City a unique place not only in the Evren region, but the whole world?" Antonio looked at Lilith with a grin on his face, "it brings many different cultures together." He faced forward again as if asking her to have a look for herself. There were people who wore clothing that was not consider modern instead they were Latin-themed with women wearing beautiful color dresses while the men wore suits of single colors such as white or black with red scarfs around their necks or waists; most of the men wore panama hats or a variation of them while some women had flowers on their hair. "The Lamia district consists of Latin culture, South America and Central America, this place probably explains it the most from the clothes people wear even to the music that you hear. That's a live band by the way." Indeed was the music was not coming from some speakers, there were people playing instruments near some bars or restaurants.
Antonio softly ran his thumb across Lilith's hand which he was holding. "Let's have some dinner," he walked towards one particular restaurant which was made up of two floors where people were dining outside. "Jorge, como estas?" Antonio spoke to a man who seemed to be in charge of the establishment. The man called 'Jorge' looked at Antonio as if he had seen a ghost, but then his face broke into the biggest smile in the world."Antonio!"the man shouted happily, his voice heavy in a Cuban accent, as he hugged him nearly lifting Antonio off the ground. Jorge was dark-skin fellow who was quite tall, taller than Antonio and quite muscular. He looked more like the type of person you was in charge of security than a restaurant. Once he put Antonio down the two began to speak in Spanish briefly. "Jorge, espera. I'm here with my date, we're looking to taste some of your amazing Peruvian food," Jorge glanced at Lilith and laughed."Ha ha! Lo siento, señorita. Welcome to my establishment, Los Incas. Please come inside, allow me to give you, as they say, 'the best sit in the house'!"the man laughed again, there was a lot of power in his face, but he was all smiles.
He reached for Lilith's hand once more. "He's an old friend, good guy too," Antonio explained as they followed Jorge to the second floor on the restaurant. The second floor had an outside area where there were some people dining, but it wasn't crowded meaning the area was likely for reserved guests."I shall return shortly with the menu, but please enjoy some bread and canchitas."Jorge excused himself and headed back inside leaving Antonio and Lilith alone in their sits. Antonio glanced at the canchitas and his eyes lit up, "oh man I haven't had these since I was a kid!" He grabbed a few and popped them into his mouth. "its corn, but its fried kinda like popcorn, but different." Antonio grinned at Lilith, they were out having dinner under the moon, it sounded good in his head, but his date was the final judge of that.
Harvey parked his bike as he took in the lamia district. He'd seen a cafe on the way here and was planning on checking it out in due time. For now however he was intent on finding a bar and meeting some people before the night was over. He made sure his bike was locked up before he started walking along the streets, taking in the sights of the people around him. On his shoulder, Broski was just as interested. "Told you this was gonna be awesome brosk look at this place"he told the monferno, he took out another pokeball, and released Samantha in a beam of red light."Now let's see what we find here...I'm thinkin bars..some drinks..cute waitresses..people to talk to...ooh! We should definitely look for a pool table"Broski gave a screech of affirmation, Samantha remained as she was, keeping an eye out for any trouble that may befall her trainer, they were in a new city after all and one never knew. Harvey for his part took in the attires around observing the way people interacted and smiled. It was certainly different from the way things were at Sinnoh..or Kanto..or..Unova..his own dress shirt and slacks didn't exactly blend with the others..but wasn't as different. He wasn't dressed to the nines but he wasn't shabby by any means. He was going to have fun tonight, he could feel it.
"You don't say..." Lillith said visibly surprised at the fact that she didn't even think to consider that he lived in this city or even region. She guessed that he was 'commuting' here like she was. Expect with her.. she didn't really have a region to call home since she had traveled so much. Lillith decided to turn her attention back to Antonio as he was explaining Amphitrite City. Her eyebrow perked up as he mentioned five districts. Was the city that big? Great now she was sounding like a tourist. Lillith couldn't help it as she looked around. It was not like she had seen as she went through the regions. This place was really new to her.
Antonio was asking her a question and she couldn't answer before Antonio was doing that for her. A city had that Incorporated different cultures together into one city. That surprised Lillith as she continued to look around. If she had to guess, this was a Latin influenced district. And she was proven correct as Antonio explained it to her more.
The music was lovely as she discovered it was live. Her action moved to her hand as Antonio was rubbing his thumb across it. "Now that's what I wanted to hear from you." she said as he mentioned getting dinner. "Lead the way. Can't let your date starve now can you?" Lillith walked up to a restaurant that had two floors. As she surveyed the area, she could hear him speaking Spanish to someone before the man was lifted up by another, much taller and muscular, male. She only hoped the man didn't try the same with her as she kept her composure. They were speaking Spanish, with Lillith able to translate some as it was one of her forgotten native languages. The little she did know she didn't bother to listen to until they were talking about her as Antonio introduced.
"Pleasure." Lillith said as she greeted Jorge with a curtsy. The two followed Jorge in Los Incas onto the second floor as they took a seat. They then looked at the bread, that smelled really good, and the bowl of corn kernels that were cooked in a different way. It seemed familiar but she couldn't place where or from who. As Lillith looked at the 'canchitas' Antonio's lit up eyes grabbed her attention. It was like he was a kid as he ate some. He explained to her what they were. "I could tell." Lillith said calming as she popped a couple into her mouth.... and then a few more.... and another few more.
it was near 2 A.M. by the time Harvey finished his rounds. He hadn't planned on staying that late but getting to know some of the locals, he had started a pool game with some guys and had ended up spending the night with one of the waitreses. He had also found a friend willing to keep his bike in their garage for him. The guy lived near the station, so Harvey would be able to take his rides around the city with no problem. After a shower with the aforementioned waitress, and breakfast one of the many restaurants around. (their cuban coffee was a religious experience in the young teacher's opinion) Harvey rode his bike around once more before making his way to the station. HIs mission had been acomplished, he had met people in town, and planned to continue to come out but for now it was time to bid the city farewell. His days as a teacher at Ordell were about to start.
"See ya Arlo!" The bartender called out to Arlo as he left the bar. Whenever he had time off Arlo would come by here. He and the bartender Ramon knew each other prior to him coming to Amphirite and seeing an old friend was, well it was comforting whenever he began to miss home. He had spoken to his son just a few hours before, but he really wanted to call him again. He stood outside the bar's building and check the watch on his wrist. At least it wasn't too late, sometimes he and Ramon would spend hours just conversing about old times. He started his walk back towards the square. A stroll such as this was nice and peaceful, not many people around, but every no and again he saw someone wandering out of the buildings. Seeing quite the crowd coming out of the restaurant across the street he looked around and took a detour around a building and down a small pathway. He looked around once again and realized this would be a great time to walk Persian,"Come on out girl" He tossed the pokeball and Persian stretched out along the ground and smiled at Arlo,"Merow." Arlo bent down and pet her head. She purred enjoying the attention and rubbed her face into his palm. He smirked amused by her behavior and stood back up,"Are you ready for a stroll?" Persian came over to his side and rub her head on his leg,"Let's go then...We have to be back at the station in time," he mentioned to her. He'd like to get back to campus since he would have to wake up and prepare the cafeteria for the students very early tomorrow morning. They walked down the path and Persian immediately leapt off to the right at the end of the path and Arlo still following with a simple stroll, still amused with her playfulness. He would have to bring her out more on campus when he had these days off.

The cheerful and colorful atmosphere of the Lamia District was catchy. Even Faye was finding herself skipping along, wiggling her hips and spinning in rhythm to the numerous live bands they passed on the way. Lots of performers in traditional styled Latin clothing encouraged passing people to join in the fun and Faye couldn't stop the smile that spread across her lips. There was just so much energy in the air. It was like the parties she attended in Johto...buzzing with life and joy.
Faye looked around the new area. She hadn't been to this section of town yet. It seemed to be more of a vendor/food place. The blonde spotted several different restaurants, all of which looked appealing. And knowing that she had a free meal at one of them made her want to choose one that had good food. Faye wasn't much of a fan of spicy food, so the Mexican cuisine was out of the question. She tilted her head when she spotted a quaint little Italian café with a sign that printed out the name 'Lusardi's'. Pointing to the building, Faye turned to her two followers, "I haven't had a decent plate of fresh pasta in a while. Let's try out that place, it looks pretty good."
Not really giving her two companions much option, Faye lead Iris and Marco into the veranda of the restaurant. They were soon seated and had a menu each to choose from. Like Café Salvatore, they were each asked to show their Academy ID's to receive their meals. Faye was starting to get used to that part, even though it annoyed her. She came from great wealth and influence, she shouldn't have to show anyone who she was. They should just know. But she forced down the irritation and smiled at her two acquaintances. Faye did realise that she'd call both Marco and Iris her friends at the Dance Stage, but that was something she said to most people she knew.
But it was obvious now that she really didn't know anything about either of the Ordell students. Iris was in her Co-Ordination class and Marco....well...she still didn't know what to think of Marco. Maybe now was a good time to learn a thing or two about them. The waitress came back to their table carrying a tray of ice water. Faye smiled and folded her menu, "I'll have the Seafood Linguine please." The friendly server nodded and took Iris and Marco's order before walking off. Looking at the green haired girl and dark haired boy, Faye debated about what to say. It was a little awkward, this whole get together. But she was nothing if not able to fake confidence, "Soooo....guess we haven't really gotten much time to talk, hey Iris. Aside from class...and that's just boring. Where are you from anyway? I'm from Olivine Town, my family owns a big house there. And you Marco? Where's your home?" Small talk was always good for breaking the ice and making people feel more comfortable. Or at least that's what her Mother said all the time anyway.

I am learning to be strong
Location: Lamia District - Restaurant Lusardi's
Walking through the streets and seeing all the Latin theme decorations and hearing all the music was making Marco feel very happy. The colors, the sounds, everything about the Lamia District just made him smile right now; he wished that his family could be here to experience this festival. His fingers drummed against his thigh following the rhythm of the music. His feet were itching to move and dance along with some of the district folk who had begun to dance outside where some live bands were playing. If he wasn't currently accompanying two girls then he would have likely gone and dance. However, knowing that there were people who knew him and could be watching him made him shy about joining. He really wished that he was more confident like Faye who practically dancing as they walked through the restaurant area of the Lamia District. His eyes were naturally drawn to her movements and he wondered if she had ever taken any classes or was experienced in dancing. Seeing someone of the opposite sex that could dance made him want to ask for her hand so they could dance together. Again, he was too shy to do something like that and he was positive that he would be turned down anyways.
There were so many places serving Latin food! Marco wanted to try them all or maybe find a restaurant that served food from his homeland. He only had one free meal and no money to spend anywhere else so his decision would have to be carefully planned out. "Mhmm, do I want seafood or Chifa...both are good," Marco pondered to himself, but before he could think further, he was already taken to a restaurant. His eyes blinked not quite sure how to read the restaurant's name, it didn't even look like a Latin restaurant. They were already sitting down and given a menu while Marco just remained confuse about how quickly things moved along all the sudden. They were already being asked for their orders and Marco hadn't even looked through menu! "Uh...l-let's see," he couldn't read the fancy names of some of the food, "uhhh...I'll have...um, I'll have what she's having!" Marco answered a bit flustered referring to Faye's order. The server left leaving Marco with a red face which he tried to cool down by drinking some water.
"My home?" Marco looked up at the girls who were currently staring at him waiting for his response. "I live in Celestic Town which is in the Sinnoh region, but I wasn't born there..." It was true, he had moved to the Sinnoh region from his original home. "I don't know why we moved there," Marco looked down as his voice grew a bit dark; all he had of Celestic Town was bad memories about kids bullying him, disappointing and hurting his family with his past behaviors. He didn't understand his parents decision at all, but he didn't have a right to question them not after all the terrible things he had done. "My family has a...normal house?" Marco smiled sheepishly since he wasn't sure how else to describe the house where he lived. It was a good size for his family which was made of four people including himself. "Olivine? That's in Johto, right? I saw it on TV, there's a beach there and a lighthouse." Marco smiled remembering those details and feeling proud that he knew something about Faye's home.
