 Rules - The cub will be a part of Kitwana'antara we would prefer that he remains in the pride, any plans to remove him would have to be discussed with us first please! - The pride is a diseased one, please read up on it before you enter. If you aren't okay with death and dying and sickness this probably isn't the place for you. (Though it does make some really interesting plots) - The cubs will know they had a mother and may even faintly remember her as they grow older, but she will have no part in raising them. They will be raised by Vigo, and Dirdia'baki. - No madness, no evil, no random violent behavior plots - Please play nice, we are all friends here! The Family
 Mom: Nurrin is a kind lioness who met Vigo while she was travelling and looking for her home. Vigo was very kind to her and when he told her and helped heal her poor battered feet. When he told her that he was looking for a surrogate for a litter that he would raise back in his home pride she agreed. Nurrin isn't evil or even cold, but she isn't ready to actually be a mother yet. Once the cubs were weaned she left them with Vigo to take back to his pride and she continued on her way to find her home that she hadn't seen since she was a cub. {owned by nessiaing)
 Dad: Vigo has had a drastic change of heart and character. Once a flirty, carefree lover, he now is a conscientious member of the diseased pride. He lives to better the lives of others, and endeavors to always ensure that he treats every female with polite respect. Gone are his days of treating females flippantly! Now responsibility is a familiar, heavy, welcome mantle upon his shoulders, though sadness seems to trail him in a ghostly, unseen waft. (Owned by Talencia)
 Surrogate Grandma: She keeps to herself, holding her emotions back as much as she can. She tends to her duties faithfully, and is known to range far and wide to find new plants for the healers to work with.
Dirdia took to Vigo as the son she has never had, and is delighted to help look after the cubs while Vigo is working or out in the rogue lands. She will spend a lot of time with the cubs (owned by Talencia)
 Sister: Metea is a very kind very gentle soul. She does a lot of mothering to her brothers. As the only daughter in the litter, the oldest and being without a mother so to speak she takes it upon herself to fill that roll for the family a little. As she grows older she will have a soft spot for the parentless cubs in the pride and will often take them in herself. Her downfall though is she is easily upset, doesn't take her much to get upset and it will be a life time battle for her being around the death and dying that happens in the pride.  Brother: Hatua’matope is a little daredevil, he likes to chew on foreign plants. He has a sense of his mortality, and wants to do great things in his, potentiall y, short life time. Because he chews on so many odd plants, he's often a bit sickly, but he is always cheerful and loving. He is the epitome of making the most of life. (Owned by Velveteen Angel)

Personality: Pretty much one of cooperation, yet calm and happy cub with an imagination. He is willing to listen and follow another's orders and words, and pay attention to them as he sits there, wanting to listen without backing out, and whenever he isn't busy, he simply looks off to the horizon with his mind wandering as he smiled. He knows the possibility of early death, and does let his mind mostly focus on little plays that he could enact for his life, but does accept the life he was given within reality as well.

It was a bit of a trial; having twin brothers, and his father simply giving his sister a lot of attention as if she was a royal herself, but he really didn't feel bad. He felt that because he resembled his father the most, that he was able to have something special in his life as well. He felt as if he could get along with everyone for being himself. Ravko never would consider coloring or lifestyle to be the big "plus" to one's life; he mainly considers another's personality and how they live to be the big thing.

Name: Pūkohu (Moss in Maori... Because sadly there was no Swahili translation xD; )

Disease Status: Diseased
Personality: Puko, or Kohu, he's fine with either, is a cub who grew up a bit fast in life. He owes this to knowing that his time in this world is limited, possibly more finite than others' time. He doesn't begrudge it, though, and while he possesses a great maturity for somebody so small, he enjoys every moment he has as if it will be his last. He can be protective of his family, wanting to be there to comfort them, but also protect them from the outside world's dangers, from those who might exploit their disease.
Prompt Number: 2 and 3
Prompt Response: Pukohu won't contract the disease right away - He'll see others suffer, and know that he's not suffering right away, so believe he might be disease-free. He doesn't begrudge his mother for leaving him and his siblings in the Kitwana, either, as every pride, unless purely evil, deserves to grow by any means possible... Without cubnapping, that is. He wishes he could have gotten to know her, as he believes that to give up her cubs to a pride that needs them most must make her a beautiful lioness at heart, and if he didn't get sick, he would have gone to find her and get to know her(And bring back some cubs of his own!)... Except that when he reaches adolescence, the disease catches up and that plan is dashed. He won't be upset, though - He knew it was a risk and could potentially happen at any time.
Extra: Moss does not, in fact, always grow on the west side of a tree! It doesn't particularly care what side it is, it just grows :>

Personality: Always a determined spirit, he will always struggle to do what others find easy. He finds it difficult to "take it easy," even when healers ask him to rest--there is so much he could be doing, should be doing! He could easily be a workaholic, if only his body would let him. He does everything 110%; work, play, everything with the same tenacious fervor for life.
Prompt Number: 2 & 3
Prompt Response: The disease will strike early and strong, and ultimately it will be a battle that he won't survive. As a cub he will be too young to fully understand how hindered he is by his frailty and frequent shortness of breath, but as an adolescent he will grow bitter and resentful of his absent mother for leaving him in a place where he may well die. Doing even simple tasks without coughing will be a trial, fueling his frustration. Didn't she know? If she knew, why? He will gradually find peace with his mother's decision, but as the coughing fits grow more and more violent, his body will give out not far into adulthood.
Extra: Troy Baker does SO MANY good voices. The man is probably one of the most talented voice actors I've seen. Also, Bwana -may- sire children in the Kitwana before he goes. We'll see!

Name: Uponyaji - Swahili for healing
Future Rank: Healer
Disease Status: Not Diseased
Personality: Uponyaji is a very timid but proud cub. He feels bad about his undiseased state, but has decided that he shouldn't feel sorry for himself cause he will live on! In this revaltion he has decided to commit himself 100% to helping heal and take care of others.
Being timid makes it hard for him to speak out, but he will learn to speak his mind in time. And his timid nature certainly doesn't make him any less proud. He knows plenty and enjoys showing his knowledge to others. When he is busy helping another, he seems like a completely different lion. Confidence simply radiates off of him. For this reason a lot of the lions he works with to heal will never know of his timid nature.
Prompt Number: 1
Prompt Response: Uponyaji didn't understand why he had to be so different. As the first son, one would think that he would be pretty important, but his older sister and younger brother usually got the attention. He wasn't sure if it was because he looked so different from the others or simply because he was easy to overlook. The twins got their attention because, well, they were the youngest of the litter. It was certainly hard to stand up against that. And then his older sister being the only girl made everyone dote upon her all the more. It was a lonely life, but he didn't hate his siblings for it. It wasn't their fault that they got all the attention after all! The only thing he could do is wait in the wings for his siblings to come and play with him again. He was very good at waiting, though usually didn't have to wait very long.
Very early on he decided that he would make something of himself. That he would try to stand above his siblings and out of their shadows for the first time, then stay there. They would have their own days in the shade when he was able to grow and learn. He would help others and shine above the rest! Uponyaji decided to keep this goal in mind. Always and forever. He would show everyone that he was there. That he mattered just as much as the rest of his siblings. He would make sure of it!
Extra: Whoooo! I hope it's okay that he's not diseased xD I figured that if they were all simply diseased that it would make that part of the form kinda silly... And I wanted to give him a reason to be a healer! A reason to help others! <3

Tally and I would like to thank everyone for the time and effort they put into this contest! There were a number of entries we liked but sadly we can only pick one.
So without any further delay we would like to welcome Kwan'Yahir to the family.

With one goal in mind- To let his music reach others, and not ever let the fact that he is sick change him. He is in love with music and sound. In his eyes he believes music you create can reach others in the most mysterious of ways. Be it to give someone hope - or a chance to feel peace in the breeze of the day no matter how much pain or sickness you are in. He not loves music but he also cares for his family deeply. He sometimes may not easily show his feelings towards them. Though he will always help and defend his family - since they are to him the beginning of his world filled with music. Prompt Number: 2 Prompt Response: Kwan'Yahir won't begin to feel sick until adolescence. At that point he will begin to have little things happen to him. Like falls in front of friends or slight light headed-ness and some other small things. He will play it all off as nothing and just grin and bear it. Not wanting to show his pain or hurt. It will become hard for him to admit even to his closest friends or family that he is even sick at all. Since he doesn't want them to worry about him. Especially not his sister - since she is already kind enough in mothering him and his brothers. With the pride being how it is he sees no reason to worry about himself when others are hurting just as bad if not worse. So he looks to the sky and smiles. He listens to the wind and realizes that their is always beauty even in dark moments. So he will keep to himself for the most part but will never lose his smile no matter what. As he gets a bit sicker he realizes as long as he can play music he will be alive. After that he will never stop playing his music for others or when he needs a pick me up. In his life his music and the music/sounds around him keeps him strong. He will play his emotions while he is sick into his music. ' Thanks to music and his family and friends - he will fight harder and harder to beat the illness. Since he just looks at the light ahead and keeps thinking " just one more song" over and over again. Until he has played hundreds. Once he reaches adulthood - he will have taken the worst of the disease and be headed towards what seems like recovery or as close as he can get. Still having some side effects that will last his life. At this point his goal will be to play for everyone and anyone. Since his wish will then become that his song will reach all those that he can reach. In hopes maybe his music can bring a bright shining light to a dark situation. Extra: Music is just so beautiful! <3
