Personality:
Acenath was wise beyond her own right. Taking after her strong dominating father then she should have, this lioness was well spoken, headstrong, suborn, and forward. These were only her good qualities... She looks down her muzzle at everyone, and holds her head high. She is selfish, and will do whatever it takes to place herself above all others. She comes off as rude, but in reality, she is doing only what she has come to know as a way to survive outside being the lioness. She only wants the same respect that the males of her pride get.
Behind this, hidden from the eyes of others is a heart of gold. It takes much to see past the mask she had placed before herself, one that sh holds tight to. the warm lioness just needs to be pulled from the shell of hardship she has taken.
History:
Acenath was the first born out of he cubs her father had. though heartache came when her mother fell ill and passed without giving her father a single son.When the cubs were presented to the pride, her father tried to pass her as his son, wanting respect not only for her but himself. What male could allow no sons to come of his life. Boys were the center of this pride after all, and her father very set in the old ways.
Her father almost got away with it too, but sadly with respect on the line, jealousy blooms quickly. One of Acenath's sisters, in a fit of jealousy told on her sister, that she was not a boy, but indeed a female.
This scandal nearly ended the family's respect, but before it could be completely uncovered it was silenced. The elder who was told, and the sister disappeared over a few weeks of each-other, never to be seen from or heard of again. When it came of age for a male to grow a mane, her father took action, and in the dead of night took his daughter to a spot under a cliff and told of her his plan. that night her father fell from the mountain to save his son, and Acenath, gained her fathers mane.
Other:
Acenath plays herself off as a male, mainly to keep from feeling the sting of being a lioness. She will do whatever it takes to keep her secret.
