Combat Information
Bridges is certainly an oddball when it comes to combat. He seems to have no certain style with a sword, he merely reacts on instinct and experience. Through his childhood his mother put him through harsh tests of survival trying to make him as tough as possible for the cruel world they live in. She pushed him so hard that he was mentally scarred, however at the same time he has incredible abilities with a long sword shaped like a machete but as sharp and as strong as a katana. He is the only failure of the illegal program known as the "Guardian Initiative" amongst three other test subjects who vanished along with the remaining scientists.
Weapons: -Metre long blade he likes to call 'Charlotte'
-Bracers on both arms made of titanium.
-his right glove is plated with titanium allowing him to punch through thin walls without too much damage. (by thin I mean roughly 10 centimetres of concrete.
-His left knee also has titanium plating to allow for powerful knee thrusts that break bones with ease.
-Wears bulletproof vest but doesn't stop blades.

Health: Mentally unstable and has mood swings that occur randomly. Incredibly poor social skills and gets very nervous when people try to speak with him. (Mainly women)

-Has next to no fear.
-Very strong and versatile with stamina that could match an athlete.
-Quick Learner, can pick up skills very quickly by watching and adapts to fights with ease.
-A hero! will always help someone who needs saving.
Weaknesses:
-Very poor judgement of situations, tends to make almost suicidal decisions even though he supposedly has a high IQ.
-Very loud, can hear him coming from a 100 metres away when he is excited (which is a lot of the time)
-Can be baited into traps with ease.
-Especially poor social skills towards females, in a fight he will try to either dodge their attacks and not attack them.

1. Enhanced Strength (By enhanced I mean he can cleave through bodies like they were butter with his sword. His punches also have a tendency to break bones.)
2. Enhanced Reflexes (This guy may look like he isn't paying attention, but he can react to attacks within split seconds, not quite fast enough to dodge a bullet but is able to predict bullet trajectory.)
3. One Eyed hawk (Although missing vision from one eye his ability to see things from a distance is remarkable, he isn't as good in the dark but he isn't blind in the dark either. He can see ghosts but doesn't realize it himself, he just thinks they are figments of his imagination.)

Tremendous resistance to disease (which functions in most cases as complete immunity) and a boosted immune system allowing them to consume large quantities of toxins that could prove easily deadly if consumed even in small amounts by a normal man. However he is still not immune to the zombie disease, one drop the it will be enough to turn him after a few minutes.

Biography
Picture any apocalyptic oddball from any Hollywood blockbuster, and you've got James Bridges in a nutshell. The man's disconnect from the real world is so severe that he doesn't even notice the death and despair around him. As he notes, "I didn't live in this world. I lived in a world within my mind".
Like many other survivors Bridges was brought up underground except the only other person he knew was his mother. She put him through brutal training exercises that would of probably killed most children, from killing his first drifter at the age of 5 to running exercises while being chased by a brawler. The likely reason his mind is so broken is probably because of his mother, and also his distinct avoidance of females. One day when Bridges woke up he couldn't find his mother in the laboratory, after a few hours of looking around for her Bridges decided to leave home without ever learning about what happened to her. He believed his mother was unkillable and super strong when in reality she had been eaten by a Dilettante the night before while looking for food. To this day Bridges roams the world going on all sorts bizarre adventures, surprising that he hasn't died yet.
His mother was in fact a scientist who had bred Bridges from a test tube in the laboratory. Using countless experiments on the child to make him a stronger being. These sometimes horrific experiments resulted in Bridges heart to stop beating which then got restarted by an electric jolt from one of the scientists toys. Because of his repeated times on the brink of death his eye gained the ability to see the dead spirits who are lost in the world. All these injuries caused her to replace some of his pieces with metal parts in order to keep him functioning. The front of his throat had been damaged which then got reinforced with metal plating leading to the rusted voice that he has to this date. Part of his jaw was also removed in a later experiment and replaced with a metal contraption which looked a bit clunky. His Right elbow had its joint replaced with metal, so you can sometimes hear a squeak when he moves it around. His left knee joint was also replaced with metal and then reinforced again to allow for powerful attacks in a fight. He also has a handful of metal sockets along his chest where tubes were placed feeding him all sorts of chemicals during the experiments.
