Jin rubbed his forehead as a bug screeched and then skittered around the small glass like cup on the table only pausing a few minutes to give its angry yell. Nothing was working and at this point the stallion was getting easily agitated with the constant feeling of failure lingering over him. Getting to his feet he started to pace around the room his mind rattling off various plants, insects, anything that he could combine to get the effect he had wanted but despite all of the knowledge nothing was correct. Nothing would give him the effect that he needed on the insect to mutate in a way that was beneficial for breeding and what he had given it merely made it more aggressive. Useful information when it came to causing grief later but a waste of his current time.

No this matter was just going to have to wait, a step away something to divert his mind from the throbbing behind his temples. Maybe something from an alchemist would help a jolt anything was better than him standing there muttering. Heading out of his door he walked down the hallway, counting each entrance to a den under his breath. Reaching a number he paused looking at the entrance and then continued to count something as the numbers were muttered out.

All of them looked the same to Jin and his mind couldn’t think of which den someone had mentioned an alchemist had lived in or had they mentioned a sage. He remained standing there until voices started to grow in the hall and before they saw him he tossed out the idea of trying to remember and simply walked into one. The thought of others noticing his incompetence of being lost would just make ache even more painful.

“Is this the alchemist den?” The thought of neither apologizing nor greetings never once crept into his mind as he spoke bluntly into the den unaware of who truly inhabited.

The den entrance was brightly decorated with draped curtains of many patterns and colors. It was filled with plants and jeweled lanterns that gave off a warm glow, making the den a surprisingly inviting place. There were then two curtained off entrances, one of which had sounds of life coming through the slight opening. When Jin called out there was a stirring, a distinct jingling of jewelry clinking together. Na'ima reached out to part the curtain entrance of the room she was in, and for once the scent of her pipe did not linger in the air.

She tilted her head, keeping a cool and neutral air about her as she stepped out into the entrance of her den. Alchemist. Sigh. She remembered being called a Sage, she had worked so hard for that ranking. Ah, well. "I am Na'ima, I do not believe I have met you yet." She looked him up and down, clearly curious. Suddenly her eyes moved, following along Jin's shoulders as she slowly approached him with a gentle smile. A thin finger brushed his arm, coaxing a small centipede onto her hand. "Your name?" She asked pleasantly while playing with the centipede, turning her hand this way and that and guiding it from one hand to the other.

He stood there for a moment, blinking as the warm glow light glistened off of the various colors of the curtains like multitude colors of insects. It was an extreme contrast to the one he had left that had nothing about it was inviting and other than the various collections of insects, plants, and objects used to cage various things. It reminded him that he should obtain a few more lanterns when he got the chance; maybe some silk to feed to moths as well. The tinkling of bracelets clashing together as someone stirred and within a few minutes stepped into view. Unfamiliar, not that he knew many of his own clansman either, like his sense of direction names were easily forgotten if it was not attached to an insect or plant.

He watched her curiously as she moved towards him, noting how she carried herself, the fabric of her clothing, even each piece of jewelry she wore. Even more when she brushed against his arm easily coaxing the centipede away from him not that Jin was bothered to lose the insect. There was plenty still in his den lingering around.

“No we have not. I am Ahe’Jinan, however you may simply call me Jin.” There was a faint attempt to return her pleasant smile however it was poorly done and looked more like a mix between a frown and disgruntled.

"Ahe'Jinan," she repeated with some finality to her tone, as if this was to confirm she would be calling him that, and also to learn his name. Golden eyes were on the centipede she was playing with, a bit of fondness could be seen in her eyes.

"You are seeking an alchemist?"

Jin didn't seemed phased as the mare reaped his name fully instead of his nickname, it wasn't as if he particularly cared which one she used as long as it wasn't anything else silly or made up that had nothing to do with his name. He did watch her interest in the centipede, noting it as a characteristic to remember her by later even if he could not entirely recall her name.

"Yes, do you know of one and where?" Still not bringing up the fact that the initial problem that he was simply lost in the tower, navigating was a major flaw.

Na'ima fell quiet. Golden eyes drifted from the centipede to the stallion before her, a strange look in those eyes that couldn't quite be described. Was it unhappiness? Perhaps. But it seemed to be something more than that. Disappointment, maybe. She looked down to the centipede again and, without a word, reached out to gently place the crawling centipede back with its master. She let out a soft sigh, stepping away to pick up a few pillows and set them back in her pillow nest. "I remember a time where I was called a Sage. Were it not so recently it likely wouldn't hurt so much.." She muttered, finally looking back at the bug-covered stallion.

"I am an alchemist. What is it you require?"
