-Character Information-

Full Name: Alexis Isabella Carver

N i c k n a m e s: Lex, Lexy, Aly (only to very close friends) and Ziren when Working

A g e: 25

G e n d e r: Female

H e i g h t: 5' 6" bare foot, just under 6' in her work heels

Physical Description: Fairly tall and athletic, Alexis has curves that she uses to her advantage, but not enough to get overtly hassled on the streets. With dark Charcoal eyes and full lips, Alexis knows she looks good, but she doesn't flaunt it. She'd rather blend into the background, but given her less than stellar track record, she would rather fly below the radar. She has a handful of tattoos on her body, the most notable being the one on her right shoulder of a dragon. She also has a small galaxy scene on her left hip, a poorly done star on her right ankle from when she was young and stupidly let a friend give her a tat in his kitchen, a very faded rose entwined on both wrists, a triple goddess sign just below her hair line and lastly a Celtic wren on her right ankle. Her voice has a husky quality to it, due to hanging around guys and only having a male influence in her life, thus, she doesn't sound at all feminine.

r a c e: Human

-Combat Information-

S t r e n g t hes: Knowing how to use her body to her advantage and being good with a snarky quip about rich people and their "sensibilities" as she politely puts it. She isn't overtly flexible but she is rather limber from working as an exotic dancer for a living. Nothing impressive, but enough to put on a good show.

We a k n e s s: Born with a very rare genetic defeat (Monochromacy), Alexis can not see any color beyond shades of grey. She is a bit abrasive without meaning to be but growing up poor and being bullied in her small hometown, she tends to strike before being struck, as it were. She isn't a very big fan of small, "cozy" places because it only reminds her of what she gave up when she moved to New York and leaving her grandmother's house after losing it to the banks.

W e a p o n (s): Her body and her wit, with some pepper spray on her keychain and two butterfly knives hidden in her steel toed combat boots (she never wears anything else unless she's working, then its very sharp spike heels)

P o w e r (s): Besides being able to read body language she's powerless in this sense

-Background Information.-
Born in a small town Pennsylvania, Alexis was a mostly happy child, though she did suffer from bullying in school because she was always wearing second hand clothes from the church her parents went to. Being poor was hard, but she could never understand how some people who had the money to change things only made fun of her for something outside her control. She tried making friends, but the only ones she could ever manage to make were the older boys who saw her, the gangling little girl she had been, as like a little brother in need of some support. It didn't help that all of her clothes were much to large and hung on her thin frame, making her look even more boyish.
This went all through elementary school and into junior high, Alexis hanging with the guys and lacking all things girly about herself. It wasn't until high school, with the guys that had moved onto college coming back for spring break, that anyone realized that Alexis was not just one of the guys, at least, not a guy. They had bought beer, and since her parents had died that winter from the slicked over roads and a tired truck driver, Alexis drank with them, despite knowing it would upset her Gram. It wasn't until they all decided to go for a swim in the lake that they realized anything. All the guys started stripping out of their shirts and shorts, not wanting to set their clothes soaked, when someone happened to glance at the only female among them doing the same thing, a too small tatty tank and underwear the only thing hiding her fairly formed figure for being only sixteen. Let's just say they started stumbling over their words before laughing at each other for forgetting that Alexis wasn't exactly a guy's name after all these years.
Even she had to admit it was funny, right before shoving the drunkest ones into the lake and slipping in the mud after them, coming up for air sputtering and nearly sinking again she was laughing so hard. To her, it didn't matter if she was a girl among guys or not. They were her friends, and she hadn't changed, she was still Lex, just with some interesting perks.
After the older guys went back to college, the younger ones that were still at home started pooling their money together to get Alexis some girl like clothes, and in turn, she used her newly found wiles to score them booze from the guys at the local college that hadn't gone to school with them. They all got a good laugh out of it, toasting each other and just enjoying themselves as they broke all sorts of rules.
They continued on this way up until graduation week. One of the guys had gotten closer to her over the last year of school, and they had started, in a way, dating. They hadn't gone to prom, neither could afford the tickets, less lone the fancy dress clothes they would have needed, so they had snuck out to the lake that night, just sitting in the back of his truck and stargazing. It was a simply pleasure, but it was just the two of them for once. But the week leading up to leaving high school for good, they decided to try something new.
She had never been overtly modest, growing up around guys that wandered around half dressed did that, you know, so there wasn't any awkwardness leading up to their first time together. After all, she used to walk around the same way at the lake where they normally hung out. They tried it a few times in the following months, but they found while it was fun, they just didn't mesh well enough, and parted back into simply friendship with the occasional benefit.
It wasn't until her Gram passed away in her sleep two weeks before Alexis turned 21 that she came upon the fact she was, indeed, alone. All of her old friends had moved on, getting girlfriends, some marrying, others getting careers that kept them out of town unless it was a family holiday. She had no one but herself, and since her job as a waitress didn't pay nearly enough to afford the mortgage on her Gram's little house, she was forced to give it up to the banks and move on with just enough money to get to New York, the land of dreams, or so she believed. She ended up having to stay in shelters for a couple months before being approached by one of the women that had befriended her in the shelter before getting a job and leaving to get her own place. They got to talking and before long Alexis was walking into Zero Slums.
The manager loved the no nonsense attitude of the female before him and offered her a job. Seeing as Alexis was never all that modest, she agreed, and ended up being an exotic dancer there for entertainment, which given the pay, she was more than happy to do. Within the first month she was able to get a small apartment a couple blocks from the club and was able to buy some new clothes, the first purchase being her boots though. She had owned an old pair of combat boots, and since she was taught to fight like a man, she wanted to be able to kick and do some damage. That went on for about a year before she started getting the hang of reading body language from watching the patrons and the other girls, and even the few guys that worked there.
That was how she started a second job, a tip for a tip. If she noticed someone getting to many dirty looks, she'd saunter over and give them a heads up, sometimes sneaking them "to a backroom" when she was actually getting them out the side entrance the girls used for their smoke breaks. Normally she got a nice little informant fee, others they ended up with a bloody nose or worse if they ignored the warning and whoever was giving them the evil eye got a hold of them.
She's been there ever since, upgrading to a small condo, half of it her own place, the other her mini studio where she practices her moves for her work nights, as well as keeping in shape in case one of her "fan" tried something when she was on her way home. Add in the factor that she took the long way around to avoid anyone following her to her condo, she wasn't taking any chances with her new life.
The people she worked around proved that was a very smart idea to practice, seeing as so many shady deals went down at the club.

Sample RP: Sitting around a campfire with her friends, the dark headed girl burst into laughter as the eldest boy started bragging about getting a kiss from the head cheerleader of their school. Granted, he had been slapped for his wandering hand, but it was still a score! "You are such an idiot, George! You know you don't go groping the first kiss!" She scolded, her voice more husky than another girl's could have been. She was one of the guys, though she was younger and didn't see the appeal in kissing, groping and then sex, less lone what team to root for!
The others all laughed and agreed, punching his shoulder and saluting Alexis with their root beers, everyone was too young to buy real beer yet. Another two years, at least for the oldest.
"Ah, what do you know, Lex! You're just a kid!" George scoffed, chucking an empty can at her head, which she easily dodge, tossing a handful of grass in his direction in return, which landed harmlessly at her own feet. That caused them all to burst into laughter again, some falling over or even off of their seats.
"Yeah, but I know what color underthings Amanda wears~" She teased, she did have to use the girls locker room after all.
That comment got their attention. Thinking it over, even going so far as to tap her lip, Alexis smirked and shook her head. "Nah, I think I'll keep that information to myself." She was a confident little thing, they had to hand that much to her at least. Though that didn't stop the ones that had a crush on Amanda from tackling her and attempting to put her in a headlock for the coveted information.
Alexis, in turn, fought like a guy and started elbowing and throwing playful punches until she sat on top of the pile, a smug little grin on her thin face. She was still a preteen, and she didn't have much flesh on her bones yet. This of course got them all laughing again.
"All hail King Lex!" They started chanting, though couldn't keep it up after awhile, falling into each other like a bunch of drunkards, though Alexis did jump up and start bowing at the waist, waving one hand in an overtly grand gesture which got them laughing even harder.

Approved. I think it is very well written, and I look forward to seeing her in action.
