Natural Ability: Transformation- Taryn can transform from humanoid form to dragon form at will but only after taking off his school pin, and not during classes or in the hallways. Only outside or in his dorm. To do so he'll channel energy up and his body will seem to burst into ethereal blue fire, from out of which appears a somewhat large adolescent blue and black dragon. He can still talk in this form, and sounds no different than he does in his humanoid form. The only thing that changes is his shape and size, which is roughly the height of a fully grown male Clydesdale horse, though Taryn is longer and less bulky, being a rather skinny dragon.
Personality:
Taryn is a nice young dragon who for the most part is seen as respectful and well mannered. He greets others with a smile as often as he can, and is very polite and courteous when he speaks. However, he is also quite arrogant and sometimes lets snide remarks slip through when he's talking to someone he doesn't quite agree with.
Though he's formal when he's speaking others, Taryn isn't boring and uppity at all. He's quite friendly,sometimes goofy, and he enjoys a good laugh. He'll come right into the mix of the latest event, trying to garner as much attention to himself as he possibly can, without making a complete fool of himself. This fails more than often though, or backfires on him, leaving him feeling humiliated.
He prides himself in a job well done. This being said, he always strives to do the best he can, and enjoys challenging material and even dangerous tasks. However, he is known to get lazy on subjects he doesn't particularly find interest in, and takes his time with those or sometimes forgets, focusing on the more exciting work. This is a flaw that is his Mother and Father's pet peeve about their son. If he wants to do something he can do it very well, but if he doesn't, he simply doesn't give much effort. The counter to this is if it's something so important it could cause a dramatic change in his lifestyle. For those types of things, he's all over like glue on a photo in a scrapbook, because he doesn't want anything bad to happen, of course.
Taryn is brave and daring when it comes to most dangerous things, or when it has to do with saving a friend from imminent danger. He'd put his own life on the line to save someone else. That being said, he doesn't fear many things...accept hot blazing fires and pink unicorns. They scare him to no end. He also won't go a mile near the kind of laundry detergent that humans use. The smell makes him sneeze. Then things stat getting frosted.
When he's trying to be scary, he'd like to believe he's really ferocious and threatening looking. He'll pull out all the tricks he knows to get a good scare out of someone, even by pulling pranks on his friends. Sometimes this isn't appreciated and he gets scolded for it. Other times others laugh right along with him.
When Taryn is angry is when he's the most fearsome. What sets him off? He doesn't take kindly to being lied to, tricked, bullied, or seeing his friends or family in danger. He also hates losing, and sometimes throws tantrums when he loses a game or a bet, or when he's in trouble. When he's angry, he's been known to accidentally cause destruction. If he ever hurt someone he loved or cared for though, he'd be very upset with himself. Oftentimes, after being upset he'll admit he was being foolish, and offer some kind of way to make up for his behavior. To try and not cause any kind of harm, or get too angry, Taryn sometimes asks to be excused for a few minutes so he can go somewhere private and try to cool down. If he's in a bad mood, or feeling depressed for some reason, he's also very less social than normal, and may appear quite stoic and cold. It's best not to anger him if you seem him like this, but you can ask him what's wrong and offer some help.
Note: Taryn is also considered the "Hopeless Romantic" type, often trying to hard to win the love of a crush he has.

Why are they enrolled in Amittyville Academy? He and his parents recently moved to Amitty from a place far to the northern area of Halloween. His parents moved to Amitty to get away from the threat of the Hunters, whom had recently been seen around the area, in attempt to protect their still growing son. His Father, Taelisin Talons, had been doing some naughty things to get himself targeted as well, but Taryn doesn't know any of this. He doesn't even know about the Hunters at all. He only was told that they moved for "better business" reasons. Having just recently finished Junior High, it was time for the Talons' to enroll their son in Highschool, and so here Taryn was, about to go to Amittyville High to learn to become truly FEARsome.
FEAR Ability: Glacier Breath- Tier 1-Battle Cry- At tier 1, when Taryn uses Glacier Breath, he breathes out a stream of ice that rather looks like a stream of glowing sparkling powdery snow. But don't be fooled by the beauty of this technique. It's a "beam" of ice that is at a temperate sixty degrees below freezing, and it freezes whatever it touches nearly instantly. Let's make ice pops!!
Physical Description: A thin and somewhat lanky teenage boil with soft feminine features, having only a little muscle here and there, an no blemishes to tell of. He stands 5"7, tall for fifteen, and he weighs 124 lbs.
Eye Colour: Crimson with black slit pupils, reflective in the dark.
Hair Colour/Style: Dark blue with light colored streaks and highlights, Layered, Spiky. His hair has a fine oily sheen to it, rather shiny.
Skin Colour: Ice Blue like a winter sky.
Clothing Style/Colours: Taryn likes to wear mostly black colored clothing. This usually consists of a long black leather coat with some buckles and straps on the shoulders and to the sides of the chest flaps, and some straps near the edges of the sleeves. he wears this with a plate of silver colored armor underneath, covering the upper part of his chest. Under this, he'll either wear a black or orange button up shirt. For pants, he wears long black leather trousers with cargo pockets, and a studded black leather belt at his waist. He wears tall boots that are black and whit with silver buttons on the sides. Around his neck on a leather collar, he wears a pin of a little skull with bat wings. This is the pin that he's required to wear to go to school in Amitty, and he likes it.
Extra: Taryn has natural dark circles around his eyes, giving him an often sinister appearance or else-wise making him look fatigued. Two long black curled horns rest atop his head. His ears are elongated, pointy, and fan out sort of like mini-wings. This is a feature that comes from being a dragon. He has large bat-like wings that are black and blue, and a long tail that's black with blue spikes, and tipped in a sharp lighter blue tip. He has sharp teeth and fangs, and a long black forked tongue he often lashes similar to a snake when he talks.
