The influx of pride members into the forest Vassago happily called home would had him basking in the party of all the others coming into the groundling's territory. He loved flirting, partying, and in general having a fun time. As long as no one was getting hurt - physically, mentally, or emotionally there was no reason to hold back. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case this time.
In fact, the situation was rather worrying and that had him pacing. He had no doubt that the lions and lionesses that had made their homes by the mountain would find plenty of places to rest and live while here in the forest. But they shouldn't have had to. The pride was being forced here, but Sago had no idea how to handle that information.
When he had left Ardhi'Mvringo'Patano with Tam Lin all those years ago, he had thought he was leaving behind the responsibility and rank of Duke for a rather care free life. And Sago had lived that way in the Suko'Fumo pride since arriving, but that sense of duty and responsibility was cropping up. And it was only getting worse considering the rumors about the former king, Bwana. Sago may have only seen and talked to the former king once since joining the pride, but he couldn't help putting the friendly lion into his friends category. Granted, he put everyone in his friends category, but since. That wasn't the point. The point was Sago was concerned, and that concern was getting his sense of duty all up in a knot.
He needed either a distraction or something immediate to take the edge off of that responsibility. Vassago stopped pacing to plop down to sit on his rump and doing that allowed him to hear the sigh from not too far away. Sago got back up and made his way as quietly as in the direction of the sound.
