- ■ Dori always found Charms to be a fairly easy lesson, and had little difficulty performing well in the exam. He probably could have gotten an O, but he figured it'd be his easiest exam, and didn't focus as much effort on studying for it as he did for his others. His performance suffered, not much, but enough to drop his score a letter grade.
xxxHERBOLOGY ~ EExxx
- ■ This was one of the two lessons Dori focused the most attention on; he was more concerned with Potions, for personal reasons, but this one he was determined to do well on. Namely, he was worried about what Jason would do to him if he performed less than spectacularly on it. Considering he's currently employeed at the Herbology shop at Hogsmeade, and isn't sure what else he could do with himself, he figured it'd be a bad idea to do poorly. However, not actually having Jason as a professor did relieve him of a little anxiety, so he didn't study quite as obsessively as might've otherwise.
xxxPOTIONS ~ Oxxx
- ■ Of all his exams, this was the one that Dori was bound and determined to do the best on, just like this lesson was the one he was the most concerned with paying attention to. Not typically a patient person, it took him years to train himself to be skillful in the art of potion-making, something which he considered an absolute must. Given his status as a werewolf, he never wanted to be in a position where he had to go without his Wolfsbane potion, and figured the best way to ensure that didn't happen was to be able to successfully brew it himself. As a result, he dedicated an inordinate amount of time to this lesson and exam, and earned a perfect score.

- xxxCARE OF MAGICAL CREATURES ~ EExxx
- ■ This was the only of Dori's electives that he ever seemed to have any affinity for. However, his condition proved somewhat detrimental, as most creatures recognized him as a predator and were exceptionally wary of him. He found ways to circumvent this for the most part, but there were limits to how much the creatures would trust him. He found the course interesting, and studied hard, but at the end of the day, his inability to interact normally with the creatures proved to be a detriment to his score, and he was only able to earn an EE.
xxxCURSEBREAKING ~ Axxx
- ■ Dori found this lesson fascinating, but he was never particularly skilled at it. This, combined with the fact that he was rather obsessively focused on other lessons, resulted in a less than exceptional score.
xxxGHOUL AND GHOST STUDIES ~ Axxx
- ■ This class suffered from being mostly lecture-based and at held at night, two things which made it rather difficult for Dori to keep up. He tried, but there were some nights he simply didn't have the energy. Coupled with the fact that, after the death of his brother, he found the entire concept of death unsettling, and the discussion of ghosts even more so, it was honestly a miracle he managed to pass at all. Sheer refusal to fail was all that earned him an A.
xxxWANDLESS MAGIC PRACTICE CLASS ~ Axxx
- ■ Dori wanted to be good at this. He really, truly did, especially after the events at Hogsmeade. However, he could never seem to keep his emotions in check for very long, and his magic suffered for it. In spite of all efforts to train himself and improve, something always seemed to crop up. His brother's death being part of his reason for wanting to do well didn't help in the slightest, and in the end, he was lucky to pass with an A.
