All members of the pride are allowed to go on explorations and participate in battles when they are old enough- ranks just give them a specialty as well.
Champion: The leader of the pride. He had proven himself to be the most skilled of all the pride members and thus has more stamina than any of the others. While usually male, it is not forbidden for a female to become the champion. Anyone can fight the champion for the position when he decides to start looking for a replacement. Randomly attacking the ruler is a good way to get your a** thrown out of the pride, or even killed.
Elite: There can be four elite at any time, no more, but certainly less if no one else has managed to prove themselves worthy. The elite are the strongest members of the pride, and are respected for it. They help the champion in times of hardship and keep the pride in order. To apply for an Elite, a SoA needs: 5 explorations and 5 battle WINS.
Rescuer: This rank is obtained by progressing through and completing a certain number of 'dungeons' for the pride. Rescuers are stronger explorers who are often sent in to save explorers who may not have been able to make it out of an adventure on their own. Only SoA who have proved themselves can earn this title. Required: 5 explorations
Nurse: At adolescence, a trainer may switch profession to this rank. They take care of pride members when injuries occur during training. They also care for the sick or the elderly when need be, and provide comfort in general. They are welcome to continue exploring, but do not have to battle if they don’t want to. --- Head Nurse: Head nurses are the best of the best. Required: 5 completed RPs.
Officer: At adolescence, a trainer may switch profession to this rank. Officers make sure no one is brutally injuring anyone else and keep order when the Training Teams start to clash. They enforce the rules of the pride and maintain peace. They also question outsiders to make sure they are not spies from any rival pride. They continue to battle and explore to keep up their defense skills. --- Commanding Officer: Top officers in the field. Required: 2 RP, 2 battle wins
Breeder: At adolescence, a trainer may switch profession to this rank. No, they don’t breed lions together to produce eggs. They do, however, act as midwifes/nannies and care for the children of the pride. They help confused parents and make sure the cubs are healthy. Children are beloved in the pride and they do everything in their power to keep them strong so that they might one day become trainers. Breeders may also act as a surrogate mothers/fathers for gay couples, or for those incapable of breeding on their own. This is not required and is at the discretion of the Breeder. --- Top Breeder: required: 5 RPs
Professor: At adolescence, a trainer may switch profession to this rank. Teachers! Obviously. They prepare the cubs of the pride before becoming trainers and give them all kinds of battle pointers. Normally, they are retired animals who still love to battle but perhaps can’t win matches as they used to. They also research the surrounding area and take stock of any kind of useful information, from the rogue population to what kind of food lives in the area. --- Lead Professor: required: 5 RPs
Ranger: At adolescence, a trainer may switch profession to this rank. More or less recruiters, rangers spend most of their time outside of the pride, looking for rogues who show potential and asking them to join the pride. They can do whatever they want in the rogue lands, even breed, and the resulting cubs do now have to return to the pride. They do not train much in the traditional sense, but do have to have sharp skills just in case they meet someone grumpy on their travels. They also help with hunting when need be. --- Top Ranger: required: 5 explorations
Coordinator: At adolescence, a trainer may switch profession to this rank. This is the entertainment rank of the pride- coordinators are all about flair! They produce all the shows, dances, songs, and any other form of entertainment to keep the pride happy and carefree. Usually joyful members of the pride, they tend to avoid the training to avoid any kind of competition. Only a few fault them for it though, as most enjoy having that lighter moment to loosen them up after a long day of training. --- Top Coordinator: required: 5 RPs
Trainers: The default rank of the pride. From birth, any pride member is a trainer with the exception of familiars. They can switch ranks at adolescence. Trainers can battle anyone from any Training Team, and may challenge the battle leader to try and take their rank at special times. They live in harmony with all pride members and take care of the hunting. They also form the armies should war time arise. --- Master Trainer: required: 5 Battle WINS
