Asteria was enjoying the fresh ocean air, the sky above her sparkling like tiny gemstones and she sighed, relaxed and at peace. It had taken her and Musoke quite a few days to reach the ocean, but she had enjoyed every day. There was something so calm about being with Musoke - she could be whatever she wanted to be, because she knew he wouldn't judge her.

She had joked with him, laughed with him, run and chased each other in games that only cubs should play, and when they had reached the ocean, they had found a den amongst the rocks.

She couldn't sleep tonight though. She had left the den, assuming that Musoke was asleep, and came to sit on the foreshore. The sky was clear and the stars were bright. The moon was barely a crescent in the sky, so it was awfully dark outside, but she wasn't afraid.

She felt at home amongst the stars.

Musoke had slipped out of the den behind Asteria. He hadn't been asleep when Asteria left and he knew he wouldn't be able to get sleep while she was out here on her own. Sure they spent months apart and she cared for herself the whole time but now that he was with her, he felt like he had to look out of her.

He sat back watching her as she settled on the shores. The days they had spent together had been amazing, but he knew sooner or later they would draw to an end. They would always meet back up, but the goodbyes were always hard.

"You know I've always liked your pelt better than the night sky. Though when we are apart the keep me company in your absence." he told her settling down beside her. Had Musoke been more mature he would admit the truth he loved her but it just wasn't possible yet, he didn't even know what the work ment.
