The sun had just risen above the horizon. Lavendar eyes slowly opened to the light that had snuck up a raven face. A yawn pulled at the corners of his maw, revealing pearly whites and a pink tongue. He licked his lips a few times before he stirred, his large paws pushing himself to stand. He stretched each limb slowly, working out the kinks of the nights sleep. As he moved his long claws stuck out from his paws, gripping the dirt and leaving long, deep grooves in the dry dirt beneath them.

Another day. Arakhor mused, eying the world around him. He had found a nice spot to spend the night. There was a large stone that he had rested his back against. He always felt better when he had something solid beside him. He often wondered how the birds lived the way they did. He couldn't imagine having anything but solid ground beneath his feet. The flight fantasy of some minds confused him to no end. Although he didn't fear it, he just could not understand the appeal. Why fly around when one had four perfectly good paws to support you?

As he woolgathered he continued his morning stretch, finally deciding to wander towards a small stream he had seen the day before. There were a few shrubs and small trees along the way, and he absentmindedly named them as he walked. He counted the different types of stones he kicked up as he walked as well. Knowledge was something Arak craved constantly. If someone could teach him something he found them well worth speaking with. And he firmly believed that you could learn something from everyone.

The steam was quiet, a good place for the little goddess to rest and reflect on where her future would take her. She had let her time lapse in the mortal realm for a long time, longer than she normally did. Were things going ok? Were there prayers, wishes, demands that she missed? There was nothing she could do about it now, so she merely tried to let herself shed off any guilty feelings to focus on the now. She could help now, guide those now, and then see where that would lead her into the future.

Still...she should at least check in on her mortal children. Their time wasn't as long as her immortal childrens', so that should be next on her agenda. After this rest, at least. She was comfortable in the morning sun, her wings folded up tightly along her sides, ears flickering as she listened to the music of bubbling water and chirping avians. And a little rustling sound of some sort, but she wasn't too terrible concerned about that.

He brushed against a certain favorite shrub of his as he approached the stream. He peered closely at the tiny flowers that blossomed on it, then picked one delicately off of it's branch with his teeth. He chewed slowly, his brows furrowed in concentration. Then a small smile pulled his lips up and he ate another blossom. He had a soft spot for sweet things, and this particular plant had pollen sweet enough even for a leapord to taste.

Arak didn't even notice that he was merely ten paces from the resting Goddess. As his eyes scanned the area they fell on her, then widened slightly. He tilted his head to the right quizzically. Did she have... wings?

Arak's curiousity got the better of him, as it normally did. He approached her without hesitation, eyes focused soley on the flight mechanisms atop her back. Without care or concern he came within a lion's distance of her, then examined her wings from there, assuring himself they were, indeed, real.

Arak had never seen a Goddess before, and his nature was to learn from her.

"Excuse me miss," His voice was a low baraton, rumbling like a thunder cloud that tells you of a storm approaching, "But how in the world did you come to posess the wings of a bird? And why on earth would you want to?"

Mo'onasi probably should have guessed that someone would come up to her, but she was too absorbed in her own thoughts to realize that someone was nearby until he was (politely!) glancing her way.

She was about to greet him when his deep voice broke the silence first. She tried to not giggle, only letting a smile grow across her face as she was greeting with a classic question. She loved these, if only because it usually created such an interesting discussion. "I was born with them, actually," she began.

Attempting to not startle them, she shifted her wings around a bit, slowly, just to show that they were indeed real. "Would you believe me that near immortality comes along with them?" She tried to ask in a serious tone, but she did chuckle a bit when she folded her wings back against her side.

Arak eyed her wings as they moved along her back, tilting his head to get a better look at how they folded back against her body. His eyes shiend with humor as she spoke, and he nodded a little at her words.

"Born woth them, hmmm?"

He wasn't sure by her tone if she was kidding with him or not, but he had the feeling there was some truth to her words, by the glitter in her eyes. He glanced at the jewelry she wore quickly, unsure if he had ever seen another creature with such adornment before. He thought not, which added just another level of truth to her statements.

But as she spoke of immortality, he scoffed a bit. Immortality? Sure, he had heard creatures speak of it, dream of it. Some even quested for it. But to hear someone claim it so casually, so easily? He had to almost beleive her just because of how easy it was to claim it for her.

"I suppose," He mused as his eyes came back up to meet her own, "That I would be inclined to believe you. For the sole fact that you have claimed it so boldy, lady." He felt almost as if he were in the presence of royalty, and he was taught that every female was indeed royalty. He nodded low to her, "You may call my Arakhor my lady, and I would be honored to have a name to address you by." His eyes sparkled playfully up at her as he spoke.
