[ORP] A Day In The Life of Carlos tea and naps

[10 AM tea time]

It was tea time. then again every time was tea time. It was also nap time. It was always nap time. But today Carlos decided he would combine both tea time and nap time into one. He had brought a blanket outside, well two. One was laid out picnic style and the other he had nestled into underneath a tree near the lake.

He also brought his whole collection of cups, one full set, that actually matched, a mismatched red cup and a rose cup.

the wind blew though his fur and he nested in human shape, a lazy illusion paw bringing his cup to his mouth as he floated just above the picnic blanket.

He had a tea kettle set out still pipping hot but off his little electronic heater. there was plenty room for a tea party, but Carlos had invited no guests. It was only himself. Himself the lake and the breeze that he lazily bobbed in.

Torsten walked along the lake edge...looking for Mellow. He had just finished eating breakfast now he wanted a nap. There were very few people he wanted this nap with and Mellow was the top of the list. As he came around the corner he smiled...Carlos! He hadn't seen the blue feline in a long time...Torsten walked over with a happy trill.

"Hey Carlos!" he chirped. "May I join you?"

Torsten is a short lighting dragon. He's going to start seeking out other Dragons in the school soon...he likes naps...and really starting to like Mellow. Journal.

That cat.

Gabby could see that Carlos and his friend were having a lovely tea party outside, but all Gabby could think about was how that boil had almost tripped him, and ruined his one good day lately. So he was in no way interested in joining a tea party held by a troublemaker.

Instead, he walked over, and stared at the cat. He stared, and stared, and stared some more.

Then he - very slowly - achingly slow in fact - edged the toe over to one of the unfilled tea cups, and tipped it over until it rolled on his side.

His eyes widened for a moment, as if the move was a challenge, and then he swiveled to walk away.

Revenge.

"Join join!" Carlos poured his friend some tea with a grin on his face. "It's tea time." It was always tea time.

But they got a new friend who joined them for a moment. The dragon was starting at him and Carlos stared back eyes half lidded. The dragon was clearly asking to be invited to the tea party but before Carlos could properly invite the dragon knocked over a cup and took off.

Awe.... "You can join us for tea you know." Carlos called to him, nested in his nice blanket hiddy place.

Torsten sat then saw pure...ice? Oh! He blinked in wonderment. It was another dragon! Bigger than him...as most would be he assumed, but still. He hadn't sat down yet so his little excited bounce was perfectly fine. "Oh! another dragon! Hello!! Ah...I'm sorry I don't recognize your bloodline. My name's Torsten Raijinn...its a pleasure to meet you!"

Torsten had at this point stepped closer to the other dragon extending a small clawed hand in greeting.

"Is it?" Gabby seemed slightly distracted by the compliment, as he'd taken it as such. "It is, isn't it." He murmured in agreement, turning back around to stand by the tea party after all. "My name is Gabriel. I was a white dragon. It's a pleasure, Torsten. Your manners are impeccable."

His were not, but he appreciated them when they were offered.

There was someone else in the tree. Gzifa stared at the cheshire cat intently, trying to make out if it was dangerous...or edible.

The tiny horsewoman inched towards it, hopping from branch to branch to take a closer look.

There was a saying somewhere that curiosity killed the cat...

Carlos was enjoying his nap in a tree when some shaking of the branches alerted him that something was near by. Was it prey or predator? His ears flicked up and he opened one eye to stare at... whatever it was. Oh a bird? There was no skull pin, not student. Food? It looked possibly a little to humanoid for food.

It was staring at him. His stripes vanished into the tree as he fades from view, his grin left me hind as a clear indicator of where he was. And he waited.

It disappeared. Gzifa's eyes widened and gleamed with excitement as she sensed a new challenge.

She could still smell him, and the sight of his grin was not lost on her.

But she could play the hiding game too.

Leaping up into the branches above, the horsewoman disappeared into the densefoliage. A few moments later, Carlos would find his smile mirrored face-to-face as Gzifa hung upside-down from the branch above.

"Boo."

Carlos looked up confused when she vanished into the higher branches, only to have a faces suddenly in his face a moment later. Stripes half appeared and Carlos got up to all fours, humanoid hands scrambling along the branches as he backed up and lost his footing.

Several feet later Carlos's body landed on the ground with a solid ooof.

"Mew!" he laid on the ground looking like a broken doll acting possibly injured. Being a ghost he didn't need to worry about injury, in reality he was just too lazy to get back up.

Oh.

Gzifa peered down from her vantage point, staring at the sprawled out cheshire cat below.

Was it dead?

The horsewoman took off from her spot, flitting down to the ground below to take a closer look.

"Hey," she poked the boil. "Are you dead?" she whispered, sounding not quite apologetic enough at all.

"Yes" Carlos grinned up from his spot. He was a ghost after all, they were all dead. His tail raised and the tip twitched in excitement.

"Are you dead?" he echoed back. She didn't look dead, she didn't smell dead and he thought he heart a heart beat. "Do you like tea?" he let his head lull as he shifted over to his side from his stomach down position. A bit of dirt remained on his nose and a twig had glued itself to right above his eye. This was the woes of humanoid form. Cat form would have let him land with his face off the ground. He licked his hand and pawed at the twig.

"Oh. Okay," she accepted his answer quite readily.

"No am not." A confident, almost childish reply.

Gzifa scrunched up her face at the mention of tea. "You mean that leaf water those fancy conquest ponies drink? Nah," she snorted dismissively, folding her arms.

"I like the taste of blood better!"

She stared at the cat as he pawed at the twig, reaching out to pluck it off him. No blood on that...

"Are you hungry?" she asked suddenly, tossing the twig aside, "Let's go hunting."

Carlos accepted the answers with glee. What a wonderful bird thing. He sniffed her and she smelled a little like old blood. Wonderful.

And she helped him out in a nice grooming sort of way. "Thank you." he chirped.

"Hunting? What are we catching? Birds? Mice? Bats? A hippopotamus?" Carlos light up and got to all fours removing his skull pin. He was now a cat. A cat in a tiny hat with a scarf. He grinned up at her and came forward to rub against her leg.

"I like hunting."
