It was getting colder. the leaves were turning as it was in true October. They days grew longer and the warmth was fading. And Andrew hated it. He wanted to go curl up back home but studies prevailed.

Andrew rarely left his room after the summer season was over but this particular day was warm enough to crawl out and stretch. He found himself a stick to play with, lighting it on fire and letting the end slowly burn down towards his fingers as he walked around and looked at what was going on around him.

It seemed the school was having a slow start on the October festivities this year. There was really little reason for him to be out and about. Not that he had any friends to enjoy things with. Being a flame demon came with certain problems.

Not that there was much time for friends. Life was about going to class and doing homework. And maybe making a little money on the side. Today he simply walked on the road that lead out of the school.

To the Arctic Wendigo, he was a complete beacon of warmth. Especially in the weather they'd been having lately; she had to resort to more layers, thicker fabrics, and as much energy conservation as possible. But this strange boil, whom she had spotted in the hallway, seemed to be able to solve all her problems.

The issue was, she didn't know him. At all.

Still, she followed him from a distance, whimpering to herself at how warm he looked, and how much she wanted to leech that from him.

Andrew was too used to creatures wanting to be as far away as possible from him. Rather most of the winter themed things.

So it confused him to turn around and see that the white creature was following him. How odd. And annoying. How long had it been following him? And was it a hobo? Or just an odd monster thing. He couldn't tell.

"What do you want?" he turned and waved his stick around, the light glowing and flaring up at the end.
