[Research PRP] Wild Wildwoods (Bren/Ignatius)

Despite all of the research he had done on artifacts in his day, Brenley hadn't ever heard of the Orphic Wildwoods until this afternoon. He had been in the library looking for information on the seasonal uses of sprinium when he had discovered a slender tome that listed a number of artifacts the place supposedly housed. He'd found the notes on sprinium he had come for, then took both book and papers outside to read rather than sitting indoors as he usually tended to. Staying out here made it far more likely that he would find someone to travel with, and the more he read, the more interested he was in doing so.

Outdoors was certainly a good place to find Ignatius, considering he had little interest in being couped up inside on an average day.

(Well, unless there was something interesting inside. Admittedly, there often was. Of course, it wasn't that hard to catch Ignatius' attention, especially when his mind was always bouncing in five thousand and two directions--))

"Brenley!"

This distractive tendancy sometimes could mean be noticed things quickly, like nerds sitting on a bench and reading.

"Whatcha readin'?"

The boil's answering smile was rather creepily pleased. Thankfully, it was mostly directed at his book. Ignatius was perfect for this endeavor, quite frankly, but how could he pitch his request for company so it didn't seem as though he was begging the elemental to come along? Not everyone had the lack of a life that Bren did and he didn't want to force his friend on some questionable journey if he was doing something better.

"I've discovered a rather detailed account of how one might go about finding a grotto full of artifacts. And I'm thinking of going."

Even if Ignatius was doing something better, that probably went out the window the moment he noticed something else that caught his interest. Especially something as exciting as an adventure.

Ignatius wasn't exactly known for his laser point focus.

Grotto full of artifacts? Ignatius plopped himself down next to Brenley, veering in perhaps a little too close in an attempt to see what he was reading. What he saw was definitely detailed. Ignatius reached over to the book to run his fingers over the page as if he was reading Braille.

He then suddenly drew away and grinned, asking, "You definitely have the details here. When do you wanna go?"

Brenley was still smiling, though it was a lot more enthusiastic and a lot less creepy. He turned the book toward the boil as Ignatius got a look at it, closing the cover once he moved away.

"In a couple of hours?" He would need to change into something more adventury, but after that Bren was fine to leave. The only problem would be the inevitable setting sun, but that was what flashlights and spells were for. "We have to start in the Weeping Forest."

Honestly, Ignatius had just gone ahead and assumed that Brenley's mention of thinking of going had been an invitation.

It seemed he was correct, thankfully, because Brenley had quickly turned his "I" into a "We." And a couple of hours was just soon enough to stop the typically eager Ignatius from getting too impatient with this idea. He grinned. "Sounds good. Should be enough time to get ready."

He was already ready, probably.

Ignatius popped back up, because sitting too long was not his style. "The Weeping Forest, huh." His lips quirked into a bit of a lop-sided grin. "This should be interesting. Definitely look forward to the artifacts..."
