[OFFICE TOT] Candy Tiiiiiime (Aedan)

Aedan loved candy...which was why he was going to attempt trick or treating, even though he was not wearing a costume this year (mostly due to his only just having emerged from a longtime funk, and so not having time to plan one out this year).

Deciding to try his luck in the Creepateria first, he slid his way into Ms. Caroline's domain, bearing only an enthusiastic "Trick or Treat!" and a smile. He was surprised (and not all that pleasantly, since art was not his strongest skill) to see all sorts of cupcake decorating supplied laid out, and he was...encouraged (strongly) In their general direction.

His first attempt was...cute. He'd attempted to make it look like slimy, disgusting brains, and instead it had ended up looking more like a giant pink marshmallow. Sigh.

His second cupcake decorating attempt went at least a little bit better. He attempted a skull this time....and while it was lopsided, and had soft edges, and appeared to be smiling, it at least was distinguishable as being a skull. Thankfully.

Thankfully, while Ms. Caroline appeared somewhat disappointed iwth all 3 of his cupcakes, his third attempt (a devil, that came out looking almost delighted to make one's acquaintance) was at least recognizable as what he'd intended it to be, again. This was why he wasn't planning on running away to become a cake decorator...

On the upside, he did at least get a couple of pieces of candy for his efforts!

Peering cautiously around the door to Professor Pyre's office, Aedan entered slowly. Pyre was settled behind the desk, and it was rather cold (and damp) in the room. On top of the desk was the very thing he'd come for - candy. However, also sitting on the desk was a rather intimidating, if vaguely feline looking creature. In fact, one could even interpret its body language as...looming over the candy in question.

At the rather challenging statement from the professor, Aedan turned his attention back to the candy, and the creature guarding it. Maybe if he attempted a quick grab, he could get to it before the creature even knew what he was attempting?

Moving forward slowly, as if he was still debating how best to acquire the sugary treats, Aedan did his best to not telegraph his intent, lunging swiftly for the candy...and unfortunately, failing miserably at getting any. In addition to that, he received a (rather painful) bite for his efforts.

Professor Pyre, looking completely unapologetic, murmurs something to the effect that he should probably head to the infirmary, as the creature is in fact venemous.

Deciding that he really did want that candy, Aedan made another quick grab for a piece, only to be rewarded with a second (deeper) bite for his efforts.

Making another determined, and far slower attempt, Aedan blinked in complete shock when the creature flat out turned up its nose at him, as if he were no longer even worth the effort of biting. While the hell horse was okay with the lack of attention, it meant that he still didn't get any candy, at all, for his efforts.

Additionally, he could swear that he was starting to feel a little bit queasy

Growing downright frustrated with the entire exercise, Aedan picked up a small ball of yarn, flinging it (although not too hard; he had a little more self control than that) across the desk. To his surprise, the nasty creature actually tore off after it, leaving him to make a grab for a whopping 3 pieces of candy. That almost made it worth the two bites, and the look of utter contempt he'd received from it in the interim (not to mention the almost-pleased muttering from the professor at each successive failed attempt).

Clutching both his candy and injured hand against himself, Aedan muttered a half-hearted thank you before fleeing...in the direction of the infirmary, as he was rather afraid he was going to puke.
