Haru had lead Zurione down the mountain side towards an edge of the pride that brushed against the rogue lands. Here ran a narrow stream from the mountain top that had chunks of ice floating freely from the frozen snows above. It was because of the freshness of the water that many herds were attracted from the roguelands to the open space. The only downfall was that the cliffs loomed high all around like stone walls save for two choice openings and several smaller spots. As expected there were a few antelope scattered around in groups.

I wonder if they’re getting smarter on us? Haru smirked at the thought, but did notice how both groups seemed to linger towards the openings. If they had been fortunate it would have been easy pinning one of their prey down in the rocks, but now if they slipped up the whole group would be out in the open savannah again.

The green lion paused as he crouched on the rocks, “See any in particular?” There were a few elderly, that would be too easy though, and a few young ones along with a couple of adults. Now that young male looked like he might be a good challenge….but Haru was going to leave it up to Zurione. She was the one hungry after all and even though he was from Sikuku it didn’t mean he should turn everything into a contest. Though it’s awfully tempting…
