Liana was a bit ruffled. She had gotten into a little tiff with Moyo and they had sparred to work out their aggression, but she found herself still quite angry with her adopted sibling. She had wanted to keep fighting, but he had firmly told her he wouldn't fight anymore. The dark-eyed lioness found herself pacing on the shore of one of the rivers.

She couldn't even figure out why she was angry, she just was. Maybe if she went to see Ghana, he could calm her down - at least a little? But so far, nothing had worked. She couldn't figure out why her anger bubbled so closely to the surface the last few days.

It was annoying and it hindered her work. She couldn't have the pride take her as a danger or anything else. She was technically still an outsider despite her being one of the rulers of the pride.

She paced, turned and growling a bit in an attempt to stave off the anger.

Ghana stretched as he lumbered out of the Cave-Hall, a wide mouthed and toothy yawn accompanying the short bursts of muscle. Today had been an influx of nonsense and misunderstandings for the day's hearings from the locals of the Pride. As Jarl, Ghana had to sort out all business so there was no trickery afoot. Most days the meetings were not bad, but others, oh, others were certainly taxing and required so much time and patience to sort out. He had been thirsty for some time, but with the lull of temporary civil peace in the air, his dark frame meandered through the lands, passing by farmers and fishers alike on his path towards the river.

In her angry rampage, Liana didn't hear footsteps of passers-by beyond her. She huffed and rumbled and stomped along the shore, sand embedding itself in her toes. She was actually quite glad none of the pride had stopped to confront her, because she would have surely snapped.

She didn't think anyone would mind a spar though, but in her rage she could probably take it too far. She wasn't like her brother, who always kept his cool in situations like these. Hell, when a female came out of the wood-works claiming she was pregnant with his cubs, he took it a lot better than she did.

She was...

She wasn't sure why. She grumbled again. Perhaps she should find Ghana after all...

As he made his way downriver to one of his favoured spots, Ghana wallowed in the atmosphere around him. The gentle babbling of the moving water next to him, the texture and squish of the mucky sandy giving underneath his paws and getting between his toes. There was a shift in ambience when he heard whispers bounce into his dark ears and paid attention to the few glances from passersby. He slowed to a gradual stop, spying the earthen sillouette of his mate some feet ahead, but exhibiting body language in her that he'd rarely seen. Pacing always seemed to be an indicator that something was eating away at an individual. ..Sometimes, literally, other times figuratively, and the large male home more for the latter than the former.

" ..Liana? " Ghana called out, taking a few steps forward, after the words left his maw.

Liana took a few more paces, grumbling to herself when she heard her name being called. She snarled, rounding to face whomever had dared to disrupt her tirade!!

Only to find Ghana. The anger still bubbled, but she made more of an effort to calm herself. Her tail was flicking at an agitated pace, whipping to and fro and she tried to collect herself. She couldn't even speak, and this frustrated her even more.

The lioness stalked forward towards her husband, ultimately placing her forehead against his chest. She breathed in deeply attempting to ground herself.

Ghana kept silent after Liana inadvertantly snapped at him, or at least, he'd hoped she didn't mean it. Perhaps she didn't realize who was calling her at first? Who knew for sure? Even practitioners have trouble knowing what is in the minds of others. The young ruler stayed still as his mate stomped her way over to him, her feet seemingly acting like there were immense weights in them. Ghana sighed deeply and gazed down at Liana, resting his head on her softly.

" ..What's wrong? "

The tan lioness bubbled and boiled, like the lava from a volcano, and she wanted to keep pacing. Ghana, though, her loving husband came towards her, and she stayed still. She remained silent, grinding her teeth as he did so.

Then a soft touch, his head on hers, and the anger fizzled out like that of a small fire in a downpour. Liana's shoulders slouched a bit, and a small whine pulled from the back of her throat.

It wasn't often, or common that Liana would act this way - like a petulant child that could not get their way! She was an adult, now, and it was simply petty. She remained silent for a moment longer.

"I don't know..." she answered eventually, a half-hearted shrug tugging at her shoulders. She pulled in a deep breath and sighed. She hadn't meant to snap at Ghana though, she never wanted that. "I've just been so angry lately."

Ghana was patient as he felt the tension in Liana's body lessen under his touch and waited in silence for her to answer. Even when her answer fell upon his ears, it still didn't offer much insight, but it didn't seem to give the speaker and answer for her own being. It wasn't often that he saw Liana acting this way, and usually when he did it was because of a loss of some kind or he'd done something stupid.

" ..Has it been because I've been busy as of late? "

Liana hummed, her shoulders sagging a bit further. She didn't want her mate to find her needy. That was the last thing she wanted - but she had been lonely. Ghana was always busy, and Liana tried to stay busy herself, but she could only do so much work before she was left taskless and alone.

With nothing to distract herself, she found herself pacing and upset with everything. "I'm sorry, I'm just acting like a cub," she murmured instead of agreeing with her husband's words. "I've been missing you..." She pressed her face further into his mane, as if hiding, though she also sought comfort there. The white of his mane blinding her to the rest of the world and making her feel safe.

The young male mentally sighed, hearing the words his mate had uttered and witnessed her seek comfort in his mane. There were many a time while he was away that Ghana's thoughts drifted back towards Liana. Sometimes, he felt selfish for working so much, but keeping a Pride going was hard work. He tried not to shoulder it alone, but Ghana knew Liana helped where she could. This moment, however, just seemed to solidify it for him.

" I've missed you, too, dear. " Yellow eyes cast down to look at the earthy toned lioness. " I always miss you, because you're always on my mind. "
