Cataleen Ray
The Old Soul
The Old Soul
Playing the piano, gardening, reading, tea, peace and quiet. She's only 23 years old, but Cataleen has always felt that she was born past her time. She doesn't particularly dislike technology, but she prefers more intimate forms of interacting with people, and it's very difficult to do so when everyone seems to be preoccupied with their phones these days! She owns a small house on Maple Street. If you see someone playing a piano for the plants in a greenhouse out back, you've found the right one.
All alone in the world
Cataleen lost both her Mother and Father in rapid succession shortly before she decided to move to Ashdown. Her Mother died of Pneumonia, and her Father died shortly after, of what Cataleen is convinced was a broken heart. Estranged from her extended family, and haunted by the memories in her old home, Cataleen finally decided to sell the house and use her inheritance to move away. A new start in a new house with a greenhouse out back; Cataleen had always dreamed of owning one. Her Mother and Father were her best friends, and while Cataleen figured she'd manage by herself, she underestimated how much isolation would hurt. When she's alone, all she can dwell on is her grief. She wants to reach out to someone, but she doesn't know where to begin in this new town.
Green Thumb
Cat finds that all the plants she attends to flourish, and the flowers she cuts seem to stay fresh longer than usual.
ANYTHING ELSE?
Cataleen was taking college courses (concert piano) before her parents died. She cancelled them when she decided to move, and doesn't know if she'll be picking them up again.
Plants are love, plants are life. When she first moved in, Cataleen wasn't ready to look for a job, or really interact with anyone, so her main distraction has been getting the greenhouse up and running. She's only been in Ashdown for a month and a half, but the greenhouse is already a thriving riot of color. There's a small connecting room on the end, where her piano is situated.
She wears a flower in her hair everyday. The only flower she would never pick is the Lotus her Mother prized.
Cataleen gets up early every morning to go for a run.
