Arithmancy ~ O
An analytical person at heart, Benjamin excels at Analytical studies such as Arithmancy. He loves challenges and this class certainly provides him with it. He is a natural in the studies of science and mathematics, having learned from reading very many books on the subjects. Naturally, a class of this nature would make him focus more and allow him to actually flex his mental capacity in a positive way.
Muggle Studies~ P
This was the area in which he least focused on during the studying, due to an overconfidence in his own knowledge of the subject. He thought he could get by without much studying and he was brutally punished for the fact, achieving by his standards, a very low grade.
Wandless Magic Practice Class~ A
Did a bit of studying on this subject, but studying can only get a person so far in a subject like this. Benjamin didn't exactly struggle during the class, but he certainly wouldn't be defined as exceptional or above average. His average ability as a wizard achieved him exactly that on this exam...an average.
Defense Against the Dark Arts~ A
Another instance attributing to the fact that he is average. He didn't exactly excel in this course either. He knew all of the practical uses, how-to, and what-to-dos for almost all situations, but never being able to apply them exceptionally as an EE or O would imply. For his spectacularly average ability, but advanced knowledge of practical issues, this earned him a high average
Potions~ EE
A course where memory is needed and so is great attention to detail, both qualities in which Benjamin excels. Deft with a cauldron and measured with ingredients, he found that Potions was an easier course to pick up than most of his other courses, which is why in this N.E.W.T, he earned an EE.
Herbology~ EE
Ever since his embarrassing answer of a Herbology question in which Hill made him look a fool for during his third year, he has paid very close attention to the subject, his thirst for knowledge only fueling him to do better and better. Because of this thirst, he grew to like Herbology and did well. His knowledge and ability in the field of Herbology earned him an EE on his N.E.W.T.
History of Magic~EE
As aforementioned, Benjamin is very good at remembering useful things. This is extremely useful in this subject. Benjamin also has a fascination for history, like events that led to the hows and whys of today's Wizarding society. Due to his fascination and great memory, he earned an EE on his N.E.W.T
Transfiguration~ A
Yet another time where his average ability in spell work had let him down. He knew once again how to do everything, but whether or not he was able to apply it at times was a coin flip scenario. Transfiguration calls for some of the most difficult spellwork, but the knowledge in the subject also allows for making some of the hardest spellwork to be slightly easier...only slightly, which is why he earned an A on This N.E.W.T.
(Hello, I would like to petition for an O in the class of Arithmancy. Benjamin loves everything about mathematics and I feel as if he would put most of his focus and effort in this course. If it is not accepted, feel free to mark the grade down to a EE. It still should fit the policy for opting out.)
