June may not be off fighting crime or saving the world, but she does the things that the world needs to go 'round. She does the paperwork, talks to the annoying citizens and does all of the things the world needs to function on a daily basis. She's very dedicated to any task she takes on and doesn't derive pleasure from praise or a spotlight. She just wants to do her job and make sure everything runs smoothly.
ABOUT HER
June is a third generation Chinese marshmallow. She wears a lot of comfy clothing and has a relatively meek personality. She's the kind of person who you see in the office and you like her well enough but you never actually get to know her because she doesn't talk about herself much. She likes listening far more and will go out of her way to make sure you leave her with a smile on your face.
She's a little too nice and sometimes hides how she's really feeling to avoid confrontation (which inevitably makes things worse). Fighting and disputes are typically drowned out with "so who wants cookies?" around her. She lives in a small apartment with her pet corgi, Captain Darcy and in what very little free time she allows herself she watches bad romance movies and pretends she knows how to knit. She used to like running but gave it up because she's just too busy for it now! She does still enjoy taking her little corgi on short walks though. She lives two blocks from her workplace meaning if anyone needs anything she can be "over in a jiffy!"
It's relatively easy to take advantage of June. She's willing to do most anything you ask of her and is somewhat gullible to boot. She's trying to be better about sticking up for herself, but most of it gets drowned out in her desire to do good.
HISTORY
June grew up not far from Ashdown in Boston with two parents who still live there. Her mother and father were very supportive of her and helped her attend Boston University where she acquired a degree in Musical Theory with an emphasis on piano and bass guitar. She then moved to Ashdown to seek employment and ... found a job as a paperwork gopher at the Ashdown Police Department.
She doesn't seem to regret the job though, as it both pays the bills and allows her to employ her skills. She's worked there for a few years now and mostly covers Human Resources matters (things like updating medical waivers, filing model release forms, dealing with crazed citizens and all the madness that Ashdown encompasses). She also occasionally works the front desk to cover anyone's shifts or just because she had the free time.
Beyond that she's barely seen outside of her apartment, only ever venturing out for groceries, her dog's needs or the occassional galavant to buy another enormous sweater.
