Horace Nokoni
conflicted survivor Horace's life feels like it's been a long litany of mistakes. Bad choice after bad choice: running away, living with him, not being strong enough to go - and he even finds a way to blame other's choices on himself, too. His incredibly low self worth has dipped lower over the past few years, to the point that he's pretty sure everything is his fault. Look, it's a long road to recovery, and that's why he's here, in Ashdown. He's a little lost (a lot lost) still, but he's trying to make a life for himself, to build up something with pieces of the past holding him back.
Can't Touch This
As a result of the previous few years, people touching him makes Horace nervous, jumpy, skittish. He's become used to a certain level of uncertainty associated with touch, an aggravated outcome. And while it hasn't always been this way, it's a flinch he cant get rid of. Expected touches can be tolerated, more or less - but unexpected ones can cause him to lash out or shrink away or any number of sudden actions depending on the day. Horace views this ingrained reaction like a stain he can't wash out; he hates it. He tries to initiate touch, here and there, but even that leaves his stomach queasy and palms sweating. Look, just... don't touch him, okay. Please.

- works at a funeral home; in apprenticeship to become a funeral director (was assistant)

STATIC SHOCK Horace's clothes seem to generate a little extra static electricity than most. Those looking to touch him might be in for a shock. It seems, oddly enough, to be linked to his emotional state.
INSTANT-INSTANT MESSAGE Adfero! ... You can now send brief thoughts or sentiments to other people within your line of sight. They can't message you back, but this would be killer in a game of Bullshit.
I SPY When wearing his red glasses, Horace can see doorways from other Ashdown. These doorways glow a soft orange color.
SUPERCONDUCTOR Horace's hands now conduct electricity super-efficiently and at no health risk to himself. Of course, every charge has to go somewhere, though... So anything else he might be touching gets the transferred charge.
SAY WATT? With concentration, Horace can suck out the electricity from nearby objects/outlets, effectively short-circuiting them for a period of up to one hour. This electricity can then be conducted through his hands (via his Super Conductor power).
BLOODBINDER Horace can create, through physical contact and the sharing of blood, a powerful bond between himself and up to five other people. People bound to him through this power have access to each other's powers, save those imparted by a class, a special item, or an Ezra's ____ boon. They can also choose to take on the injuries of others. This power has additional, unrevealed side effects which will be relevant in the future. Quote shibrogane when you choose to use this power |

Any room Elliot occupies, regardless of its original properties or structural integrity, will have perfect acoustics. This power only works in actual rooms with walls and a ceiling or areas pre-designed with sound in mind (such as amphitheatres), not in general outdoor areas.

You have the ability to perfectly mimic the sounds, howls, and cries of one type of animal. (You can pick which animal. This doesn’t mean you can understand them but they can understand you. Hopefully you weren’t rude.)

Bottles, drawers, pockets… it’s all fair game when Oliver has a headache, because no matter the location, he can always find an ibuprofen when his head is hurting.
Taste the Rainbow
Oliver's perception of magic has slowly shifted over time, and now it results in a variety of different (and often times overwhelming) assaults to his senses. Magic now manifests as "auras" to him (for lack of a better term), and the way he processes each individuals magic is as unique as their own fingerprint. Every castor has a different flavor/color/sound/texture to their magic, though never more than one specific stimuli. To that end, he has no control over how it's presented or interpreted by his five sense. Someone's magic might be describable "a bright sky blue" while someone else "smells like sharp brine" while someone else can be summed up simply as "rough, like sandpaper". Oliver cannot tell if a person is magical in nature at a glance; he can only perceive their magic as it's actively being cast. He cannot turn this ability off, much to the dismay of his already frequent migraines.
I'm Goin' Ghost
Oliver now, at will, has the ability to become ethereal. While like this he basically functions as your "average ghost"—he's somewhat transparent and has the ability to phase through otherwise solid objects as a result of being non-physical—but overuse can have a variety of negative effects on his body, such as temporarily losing the ability to become ethereal in general and/or moderate damage to his body as a result of his atoms getting all scrambled (nausea, spontaneous bleeding, fatigue, slower wound regeneration, ect.)
Sneaky Sneak
Oliver will find that he can now spot pathways into Other Ashdown at will--and that magical beings tend not to notice him unless he wants to be noticed.
Glossy
Never will you have to worry about chapped lips ever again! Your lips are always perfectly moist and at peak kissing condition.
