Armitage wandered through the forest. He wasn't quite sure where he was going or where he had come from. Well of course he knew where he came from, but in a strange way he didn't. He couldn't quite remember his life before Seymour. Seymour was the plant he carried with him everywhere. Some had called him a parasite, for Seymour lived of the nutrients that were found in Armitage's blood. He just figured Seymour was there to help guide him around, seeing as he had no eyes. He never truly thought more on the subject. The plant was his only friend and companion so it was only natural to him, Seymour was as much a part of him as his hoof was. It was just the way things were. He had accepted that long ago.
He cautiously picked his way through a primarily rocky and root strew section of the forest. The little voice calling from behind him going "Hey idiot... There's a rock there... No not that way..... God I can't take you anywhere!!" He sighed at the voice of Seymour.
He had met some interesting creatures in this new land, or at least he felt like it was a new land. He wasn't quite sure. As hard as he tried he just couldn't force himself to remember where he came from. It just wasn't happening for him, and when he did, he got a massive headache that made him want to stop trying. Once day he might regain the memories he had lost, but in the meantime, he supposed they weren't that important to him anyways. 'What would it change?' he wondered to himself. Then thought about the Cat, Irina, that he had met before. He liked her a lot and she was one of the most interesting creatures he had met. Perhaps they were on their way back to what she called the "Underland herd" where her sister Katya was. He could go for some cookies and tea.
He liked the thought of that, of being around Irina again. She intrigued him greatly. She was fun to be around and she didn't care about the plant he carried with him. She was their friend. Both of them. Katya as well, had gone out of her way to be nice to them. It was always nice.
"Seymour... I think we shall try and find Underland... wanna lead me in the right direction?" The plant just gave a soft grunt, but he did approve of the plan so sent his trusty Fly minion to go and scout the way. Maybe, just maybe they would make it there. Only time would tell. He smiled at the thought of being in underland, and making it there on his own without Irina having to come and find him. He chuckled to himself.
"I'm sure she will be surprised... Or perhaps not?"

Armitage stood around for a few moments before he decided to move on. He was still contemplating the path that was in front of him. He was attempting to go and see his friend, but he wasn't quite sure where he was currently located in the middle of all of that was this great forest he was in.
He tilted his head, listening for any signs that there were others nearby. He was greeted by the same forest sounds that were normally present, it would seem as though he was alone. Aside from the plant he carried of course. He had noticed that the buzzing sound had gone off in the direction ahead of them, so figured that was where Seymour had sent the fly creature. He was always amused by Seymour's ability to trick insects into doing his dirty work. It was always something interesting.
Armitage sighed as he took the first couple steps. It was almost as though he felt like by taking these steps he would be getting himself further lost within the confines of the forest. He couldn't stay here forever and it was silly to feel the way he did, but he could not change it for the world. No matter how much he wished he could, he couldn't manage it. It was outside of his own power to restore his sight. The plate that was positioned over his eyes ensured that even if there was a wound that could have been healed he still would not be able to see the world and all of it's beauty.
He had give up on that a long time ago, but it still played in his mind. His blindness never truly bothered him. After all he probably wouldn't have made the acquaintance of his friend Irina if he had been able to see. She had joked about the fact that it took one who was blind to be able to find her when she went transparent. He smiled at the memory. It was one of his few treasures in his brain, there wasn't much else in there since he had forgotten where he had come from and who he was. He could only remember that he was Armitage and the plant he carried was Seymour. That was enough for him.
One hoof in front of the other he slowly made his way through the forest. He kept his ears moving, constantly flicking in different directions to make sure there was nothing that would be able to sneak up on them. He stopped momentarily and stood stock still and silent. He pinned his ears in the direction of a particular noise. This was new and it was strange. There was something there but just what could it be? When the noise stopped he continued to stand still and listen.
The noise seemed to be gone, for the moment anyways.
