There's something strange and eccentric about the house at 210 Fox Way. It might just have to do with the Christmas lights that just never seem to disappear from the porch, or the way the garden out front always seems untamed but manageable, never quite crowding the path up to the front door. A pristine Tudor-revival house in one of the less busy neighborhoods of Ashdown, Fox Way seems entirely welcome to strangers and friends alike. The door is open on warm days and unlocked on bad ones. The dogs sleep on the front porch or chase birds in the lawn, always putting their paws on the fence that borders the front to peer out at neighbors through climbing ivies and flowering plants. Most would think that a whole family lives here. But it's actually a vacation house occupied only by a single person.
The interior is full of warm spaces and hardwood floors. Piles of books are stacked neatly around the house, but more than that, there's signs of the occupant that lives there - ice skates on the floor, sports magazines crowding the downstairs living room table. But there are signs of other interests too. The dogs have their own coveted basket of play things - the upstairs hosts a movie den with a full projector and a three-piece couch. The only occupied bedroom itself is another story entirely. It is filled to the brim with blankets and pillows and everything warm. Christmas lights are DIY-ed all over the ceiling. It looks like something off of a pinterest board.
There's always a faint scent of dog in the air, the crispness of apples in autumn and wood and spice. And there is currently a search for roommates, so please drop on by.

xxxx ↳ Blue's room is full of pillows and blankets and looks a lot like a pinterest board for attractive bedrooms DIY-ed to s**t and back. there are a lot of succulents on his desk, and two dog beds as well.
xxxx ↳ Fox Way is actually a holiday house for Blue's family, but since Blue chose to go there for college, his parents allowed him to take care of the house and take residence there.
xxxx ↳ There is an ad out for roommates, since the house is a three-bedroom four bath structure, and Blue could use some company.

xxxx ↳ Blue is a competitive figure-skater that has made two appearances at the US Championships and made his debut in the Junior Grand Prix the year before finishing high school. There are rumors that he will be selected for the next Junior Grand Prix, and his final before competing to make a Senior Debut, but his recent visitation back to Rider-Waite suggests the ice-skater is currently struggling to find inspiration.

Blue could be talented, if he tried.
Unfortunately, Blue doesn't try. At relationships or classes or anything - not even the one thing he's been good at since he was put on the ice as a child to learn how to skate. On his surface, Blue is relatively charming and sociable, if not socially awkward when others actually want to get to know him. Blue flits from one thing to the next a lot like a hummingbird, never settling on one thing in particular. To most, this just manifests as Blue being fickle and insecure in tying himself down to any one thing. However, the case is at the core of Blue, straight through his heart, is a crippling sensation of fear.
Blue is afraid to try because he's such an anxiously ridden perfectionist that failure is not an option. Failure in any form is something that Blue cannot handle, and it manifests externally and to others as an inability to try at anything that seems remotely difficult. This means that Blue shies away from serious relationships, or actually giving 100% on papers, in classes, even in discussion, because he doesn't want to be the one in the wrong. His self-indulgence is a secondary manifestation of this, a material way of easing anxiety and stress when his coaches push him to try harder or his teachers say that if he put in more effort he could be great. Because the concept of success is a lure to him, but it is crippled by his fear of failure, leading to a fickle nature that keeps him from being able to settle and focus and try. Try to make friends, try to reach the olympic stage, try to get an A instead of an A-, try to tell someone that he likes them because god knows that there could be a rejection waiting there.
Blue is aware to some extent of his own anxiety and the reason why he slacks, but actually fringing on that subject, wanting to change it, sends him spiraling into self-induced panic attacks when he thinks too much on it. Having been raised in a public sphere, especially on the ice and from a young age, Blue has known the stress that comes from performing, from being second-best or last-place, from trying and failing and fearing doing it all over again. A part of Blue wants to overcome it, to let go of that fear, but to do so means facing the idea of failure in any capacity, whether with new friendships or grades or reaching for the olympic stage.
