Natural Ability:

Body Manipulation - Mimics can change their body to a certain degree. Hushby has learned to alter his body's composition to the point that he can harden, soften, or change the basic exterior texture. He softens it so that he can fit himself into cramped places to hide. However, his body remaining out of its natural state for too long will cause him extreme discomfort.


Personality:


His earliest memory is hiding in a jack o’lantern so no one would see his true body. At that time, he thought larger, more intimidating creatures would want to devour him on sight. He would hide in the skeletons of more vicious creatures to feel safe. His guardian was caring, but wasn’t a Mimic and he had difficulty connecting with them. He was curious of other children, so he would frequently observe different beings over time. He would hide in their homes beneath the floors or in the household items that he could fit himself into. Watching them led him to desire more social interaction, but his first attempt ended in colossal failure when he impersonated a missing child. He’s deeply self-conscious of his body and how people perceive him. He wants to feel affection, but he often has difficulty expressing his desires and he fears rejection. This frustrates him and leads to him being aggressive. He’ll lash out uncontrollably when he’s upset. He’s impatient about most things, including making friends. When he does make a friend though, he’ll be truly loyal to them. He might not be good at showing it, but he’ll always be willing to spend time with them. He's disorganized and terrible at planning ahead so he's normally late to most occasions. He's used to not having a lot of possessions, so he's irritated by those who are greedy. He has a strong urge to help those he feels are less fortunate or forced into a vulnerable state.

Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy? He wants to learn more about the world before exploring it. He’s spent most of his life hiding from people and wanted to find someone he believes will care about him for all he is.

FEAR Ability:

Armor Cast(The Barrier) - He hardens his outer layer of exposed skin to the point it forms a shell. It will break apart once it has taken enough damage and shed off.

Hey there just going over official approval pert things.

Of which there is only one- For their FEAR attack they cannot create an object. Items or 'weapons' are a reaper only thing, so this skill will need to be altered. My suggestion is perhaps that he casts an illusion of himself/target while he/target's true self is allowed to avoid by way of shadows.Or perhaps his form hardens, this preventing his mimicking 'shell' if you will, from breaking.

I will say however it treads frightfully (ohoh im so punny) close to being a Cosplay in personality.
I'd expand a bit outside of the mimikyu quirks and try to think about what separates Hushby from the pokemon inspiration. Do they have problems with memory? How do they work in teams? Maybe their natural ability rather than being a plush- is being able to form a new 'shell' that copies a nearby item of moderate size, (thus, making the skill more versatile and not as limiting while also helping them be more spooky!). Does Hushby like to explore or seek adventure? Try new things or are they a more stick in the mud? How do they resolve conflicts?

Try to expand past the inspiration of mimikyu so that the character becomes it';s own real stand alone being which just a few slight homages towards the source. If you need help, just ping!

My only approval thing now is that TiH babies and kids aren't homeless/without a guardian. It's small, but maybe just explain it as that he was raised in a very cautious home that didn't force him to socialize or go out. He saw kids and wanted to but didn't know how/was afraid to.

That sort of thing! Basically youths in TiH are precious and all have homes in some shape or another is all.
