gaia_crown You may participate as ONE CHARACTER of any faction (for Hunters, use a Golem). If you do not have a character in this shop but would like to join, please make a student quest first. For this event, only quest students will be allowed. Quest students will not get rp credit that you can stack, but you can use them to earn extra TCG TICKET points by playing card games with each other.
gaia_crown This event is considered a Card Game Tournament. As such, all characters will be considered Players (not to be confused with Playa's).
gaia_crown You may claim a max of 21 rp points from this event. Every completed card game with another player is +3 RP points. You don't have to RP out the posts, but you have to follow the proper card game mechanics (see below) and have one victor from the thread. Additional prizes such as cards, booster packs, and the likes can be redeemed in the event threads.
gaia_crown At the end of the event, this card game will be considered a permanent TiH resource which you can use to duel with others for RP points.
gaia_crown You CAN give your event prize away to a friend if you win it. They must submit an enroll within one month of the win, and played at least 1 card game in the event (proof will be required)
gaia_crown If you wish to fill some posts with RP you can, just RP accordingly while following the daisy code!

A TCG is short for [ TRADING CARD GAME ]. The goal of this event is for you, RPing as any TiH character or guest character of your choice, to participate in the TRADING CARD GAME TOURNAMENT through CARD GAME BATTLES.
So to recap you will, using your character: gaia_star 1) Collect and trade TiH trading cards gaia_star 2) Participate in card battles with other players using the TiH trading card game mechanics (again, see below) gaia_star 3) Participate in the tournament bracket and in random card battles for more prizes gaia_star 4) ONLY ONE CAN BE CROWNED WINNER AND EARN - 3 TRILLION GAIA GOLD PURE - A FULL CUSTOM TIH CHARACTER (GIFTABLE) - THE BLAZING GLORY OF THEIR NAME AS THE KING OF CARD GAMES

CHARACTER CARDS:
gaia_star [ (1) CARD TYPE ]: A card can be one of four types:
Their type determines what bonus they will get to the stat.
As you can see, the card above is DEFENSE. That means it will get a BONUS MECHANIC TO THEIR DEFENSE STAT ONLY (this stat bonus is RNG based, please see below on how to play the card game mechanics)
gaia_star [ (2) CARD HP ]: When a card hits 0 HP, it is KO'ed. A KO'ed card goes to the Graveyard where it can no longer be in play (unless specifically through a special ability/ item card). The higher the stage of the card/ the rarer it is, the higher HP it will have.
gaia_star [ (3) CARD STAGE ]: Cards come in four stages:
- Only STAGE 1 OR NPC cards can be played directly to battle
- Stage 2 cards must be evolved by playing on top of ANY Stage 1 card the next turn, and Stage 3 cards on top of stage 2 the next turn.
- When a card evolves, the HP lost carries over. So if your card had 3/5 HP, and it evolves to a stage 2, it now has 8/10 HP.
gaia_star [ (4) TYPE ]: Cards come in three types, Amityville/Halloween, Deus, and Horseman.
- There are also ARTIFACT (item) cards but those can only be played on the [ USE ARTIFACT PHASE ].
gaia_star [ (5) RARITY ]: In general, the rarer the card, the better stats it has. NPC cards of 4 and 5 rarity (Ultra Rare and Elite) have unique special abilities
gaia_star [ SPECIAL ABILITIES ]
Certain cards have SPECIAL ABILITIES (as opposed to the white text of the regular ones that are just filler text). Special abilities are in [ BOLD ORANGE ]. You may use a special ability on the [ SPECIAL ABILITY PHASE ].
ARTIFACT (ITEM) CARDS:
Artifact cards are USE cards that you play to help modify your turn. They come in two different types. You can only play ONE ITEM CARD per turn and can only play it during the [ USE ARTIFACT PHASE ]
gaia_star [ Artifact Equip Card ] This is equipped onto an existing character. Once the character is destroyed, the equip item card is also destroyed (unless it states otherwise).
gaia_star [ Artifact Use Card ] This is used just once. Apply its effect, and then continue onwards with your turn.

GETTING A DECK READY!
Hello, this is DECK-A-BOT, ready to explain how to create and manage a deck. First thing you will need CARDS, which are obtained on the minis site!
gaia_star [ Don't have a minis account? ] REGISTER HERE
Don't worry, you don't need to adopt any pets or any shady business like that, and there's rumours that the minis site is stuck on valentines anyway or something (you can ignore those), what is important is HOW TO OBTAIN CARDS.
Just a note that the minis site is used ONLY to obtain and manage your deck cards. The actual combat system with the cards requires you to create [CARD GAME RPS] using the minis site deck in this event forum.
OBTAINING CARDS
gaia_star [ STEP 1: ] GO exclaim HERE exclaim to pick up some trading cards! You will be gifted [ 5 booster packs ] AND any character cards you dropped off in that thread
gaia_star [ STEP 2 ] exclaim HERE exclaim to OPEN UP YOUR BOOSTER PACKS and see what you get!
gaia_star [ STEP 3 ] You can go to our CARD SHOP to obtain more cards HERE.
gaia_star [ STEP 3b ] Want EVEN MORE CARDS? Try advertising for us HERE! We'll give you one booster pack a day for your advertising!
VIEWING/MODIFYING YOUR DECK
gaia_star [ Step 4 ] Now that you have some cards to play with, go exclaim HERE exclaim to arrive at your MAIN DECK MANAGER/ CARD VIEWER PAGE .
gaia_star [ Step 5 ] Click on { MY TRADING CARDS }. This will allow you to view all your cards you have. If "ADD" is greyed out, it means it is already in your deck.
Otherwise you can click "add" to add a card to your deck, and "remove" to remove it from your deck.
Want to view ONLY YOUR DECK?. Just click on the { MY DECK } link!
You can also DELETE A CARD, it's a secret since it's cruelty to cards, but if you figure it out don't tell anyone shhh.
gaia_star [ Step 6 ] You MUST HAVE EXACTLY 25 CARDS IN YOUR DECK TO PLAY. Your { MY DECK } link will show how many cards you have in it right now.
DECK CONSTRUCTION (25 CARDS A DECK)
gaia_crown The recommended breakdown for a 25 card deck would be:
gaia_star 6-7 stage 1 cardss (no evolution required)
gaia_star 4-5 stage 2 cards (must wait 1 turn to evolve on a stage 1 card - attack phase still OK)
gaia_star 4-5 stage 3 cards (must wait 1 turn to evolve on a stage 2 card - attack phase still OK)
gaia_star 3 NPC cards (Or stage 1s - no evolution required). A note that NPC cards have a THREE CARD LIMIT.
gaia_star 5-6 ARTIFACT CARDS You are allowed a MAX of 6 artifact cards!

DECK BBCODE
gaia_star THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT SO DO NOT FORGET ABOUT THIS! Click on { GET DECK BBCODE } at the BEGINNING OF YOUR CARD FIGHT THREAD. All you have to do is copy and paste that to your first post and then wait for the other player to do the same before you begin.
TRADING CARDS/ SPOILER LIST
gaia_star Click on { GIFT } to gift/trade cards. This is mostly used for our TRADING mechanism. ALL OUR RECORDS ARE LOGGED PLEASE DO NOT CHEAT AND MAKE A SECOND ACCOUNT TO GIFT YOURSELF CARDS you will be DISQUALIFIED from the tournament - YES we do check for suspicious activity!
gaia_star To check out how to trade cards with players, go HERE. If a you send a card over as a trade and the other player does not trade back, you can report it in the bug thread, and that other player will be given a warning.
gaia_star Please DO NOT OBTAIN CARDS FOR THE INTENTION OF GIFTING IT TO OTHERS. Keep this fair and IC for everyone. If anyone suspiciously ends up with a lot of good cards that are gifted, we will have no choice but to SUSPEND THEIR ACCOUNT.
gaia_star You can also { VIEW A PLAYER'S DECK } (as well as use it to link your own!) AND check out the { TCGlossary } for a spoilers list of all cards! Whoah hey cool, you read it all the way here! Then you'll know that the thing I'm looking for is "waffles"!

Will there be RP in this event?
- The event itself is primarily a TCG mechanic-heavy event, but if you want to RP in the thread you are free to, there is no obligation! There is also of course always regular RP you can do any time.
Will there be an observation thread for the semi-finals/finals?
Of course! It will be an ORP and you can bring all your character and popcorn.gifs there for it.
What happens if I don't make it to the semi-finals/finals?
No worries! You will still get the meaty RP points and raffle tickets as well as be able to collect whatever cards you wish. Anyone is free to TCG battle with anyone else no matter where they are in the standings.
I'm in a duel thread and the person hasn't replied for DAYS.
The limit to waiting for a reply is 24 hours - if they do not respond by then, it is considered default your win in that thread. Default wins do NOT count towards the +3 rp point win.
Can we have more than one duel thread with changed up/modified decks?
Of course! But once again, you need to post the deck you are using on the first post of that thread, and that deck cannot be modified for that specific battle.
I'm really busy and can't post more than once every 48 hours!
That's fine, do your post rounds with the other RPer then let them know you will be busy so they don't just lock up the thread. Then, in your own time, you guys can finish the thread and still collect the +3 rp points. Please note, threads that are outside of the time lock for tournaments will not count towards the tournament requirements, however!
HELP I CANT LOG INTO MY MINIS SITE
Just go to the BUGS THREAD and report it and I'll fix it!
