Aquatic Linguistics – as a mermaid she has the ability to speak the language
of different aquatic species. It will take time and dedication should she wish to learn one or two of the myriad of aquatic languages.
Personality:
Thalassa Azur is as tempestuous as the sea her family resided in: calm, regal, unrelenting, soothing, turbulent, ambulant, deep, perpetual, and serene. She has bouts of depression due to the way she was raised, secluded from the outside world by over protective parents. This seclusion did not make her shy; instead, it seemed to have the opposite effect. She could be quite talkative and inquisitive, always wanting to know “why”.
She has an overactive imagination, this could be attributed to the fact she had no one her age to play with as she grew up. Azura is discontented with her current life, she feels that there is more to the world than constantly being watched by parents who worry she will scratch herself on coral. Because of this constant watching and over protective behavior, Azura can become a little short and her temper flare.
Character Quirks:
Azura has as a weakness for Shoctopi (she cannot help but love them with their cute little tentacles) and other aquatic creatures.
When stressed she bites the inside of her cheek, when lying she blinks a lot and her mouth quirks from left to right.
When bored she has the tendency to start singing random songs.
Usually when she is alone she thinks out loud (AKA Talks to herself)
She has one-sided conversations with her Plush Shoctopus, Inky, (Her parents thought it would be too dangerous for her to have a real mini pet), usually about random things on her mind.
Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy? She wants to go to school to get out of her parents grasp. Also her parents knew that if they want their precious daughter to amount to anything, she needed to go to the Academy.

Physical Description:
Eye Colour: Sapphire blue
Hair Colour/Style: Shades of purple and blue. It is long and flowy with a crescent moon pin holding some of it in place.
Skin Colour: A pale blue, almost icy in coloration
Clothing Style/Colours: Her style is very flowy, based off the sea which she calls home. Her top is lacy and the color of sand. Her skirt is long and flowy with soft accents of mermaid scales. Around her neck is a shell necklace and around her wrists are bracelets of sea glass. She has lacy sandals that match the color of the sand as well.
Extra: She has webbed fingers, scales on her face and hands, and flowy fins coming from her head.
