User ImageThe morning had started out perfect as Aiesha traveled along. She was up before the sun when she started her journey from where she had camped out the night before. This adventure had taken her further than she had ever been before, but why? For a special ingredient that seasonally grew in the area she was hoping to reach that day.

She inhaled the crisp morning air deeply. Letting out a cheerful sigh as she took in her surroundings. The fog was clinging in wisps around her as she crunched through the brilliantly colored fallen leaves. She loved the time of year when the colors were bright just before the stark whites of winter fell. The chill of the air tickled at her nose and she picked up her pace to a cheerfully quicker speed.

The sun had finally raised its bright glow over the mountains, casting magnificent light shafts across the landscape of reds and oranges. This sight filled Aieshas heart, she always loved the beauty of life and nature and made her begin singing. Not words but harmonious notes, complimenting her scenery as she went.

As the day went on she was paying more closely attention to her close surroundings, looking more and more for the ingredient she needed. Her trek had landed her deep in the mountainous forest, the trees closely nestled together in their environment. She shook her head and smiled, curious if she would ever find what she was looking for. Especially before nightfall! Oh,
dear she may have to spend quite a time out there! The mare giggled and shrugged, ready for whatever challenges life presented her as she explored further into the deep woods, singing a lilting tune to the birds, the leaves,
the trees or whatever.

Eliana had managed to wake up relatively early, getting an early start on the chores that she normally had to do in order to keep their home cozy and tidy. She had managed to finish so early that Eliana had managed to leave her mother and go out for one of her many daily strolls around the area. The weather was lovely and crisp, the sky was clear and blue, it was an absolutely wonderful day to take to the skies. So she did.

With her wings spread, the white and yellow mare closed her eyes as the wind ruffled her feathers and caressed her face. She couldn't remember the last time taking to the skies had been this wonderful. There was something very freeing about being able to just take to the skies and let her worries escape her as Eliana lost herself to the rhythm of her wings moving and looking down at the forest from above.

She never left her home, she had so much work to do and try to repair her family, and though her sister had left home, Eliana knew she would feel too guilty if she just up and left, so she had to content herself to the freedom that the skies offered her. As Eliana gazed down on the forest she found a nice place to land and take a stroll. With a soft hum, Eliana descended to the small clearing. It was a usual stop for her when she did take her flights. There was always a small inkling of fear that if she kept to the skies for too long that she would never return to the ground.

As the mare roamed along, taking in the familiar sights and sounds of her forest home, Eliana hummed a soft song to herself. Her fluffy ears flickered as she caught the sounds of birds chirping and animals chattering. Then she caught the faint sound, it was so quiet, so hard to hear, she almost missed it: singing. Her eyes lit up and she turned her head from side to side as she tried to discern where it was coming from. It was so lovely, even as quiet as it was, that she just had to find the source.

Eliana perked up as she was able to pinpoint the direction the singing was coming from, a small smile on her beak as she trotted towards the sound. Her ears perked and moved to hear the voice that was creating such a beautiful melody while she walked. There was still so time left in the day, what would she do once she met the source? Maybe she could just stay a good difference away... Surely they would expect to talk to her once they saw her and Eliana wasn't very good at talking. The white and yellow mare paused, her brows furrowing in her concern, maybe it was for the best that she not seek the singing out... Eliana stood in the middle of the small trodden path that ran through the forest, frozen in her indecision.

User ImageAiesha decided that even if she didn't find what she was looking for the day could never be ruined, it was just too amazing of a morning! The beautiful light filling the landscape with the lively creatures chattering and going about their duties. Golden light filled the area and her heart. Her world was vibrant and wonderful! She kicked her heels cheerfully while her gaze lifted to the clear skies. That's when her eyes caught something high above.

She went silent in awe as she tried to see just what was that high up. OH MY! She gasped excitedly hoping what she saw was true, a gorgeous winged mare?Shaking her head and blinking hard she looked again but lost it. Furrowing her brow her eyes scanned the skies desperately. Gone, drat! The mare sighed deeply in defeat. Maybe she imagined it? Caught up in the worlds splendor. A thought passed through her mind, maybe she wasnt seeing things....maybe who she saw was nearby? maybe they knew the area?

Aiesha really wasn't one to waste time deciding things so she took off at a slow trot, excited for what may happen. She didn't know if she could even find whom she had seen soaring above. Her mind went to how nice it must be,
always lovingly envious of anyone who could take to those skies. Her heart was aglow with the feeling she imagined it could give her if she herself could soar above the clouds. The mare giggled at her own silliness as she delved further into the forest, cheerfully weaving between the trees in a pattern for fun. Her song came back out, a little louder this time. One part because she just couldn't contain it, another part because she kind of wanted the mystery flier to hear it if in fact they were near!

The purple mares song echoed through the trees the words going on about dreams and meetings before. It didnt take long into her song before her claws managed to find a trail which caused her to pause mid phrase to look down at the frequented path. Blinking slowly she looked up a side and was astounded at what her eyes beheld.

Before her was a breathtaking mare, clad in pristine white and golden yellow feathers! She smiled so sweetly at the amazing soquili that was at the end of the path. Aiesha blushed momentarily after realizing she was gawking and shook her mane. This was the mare she had seen before! Giggling at herself she decided introductions were in order, stepping closer but not enough to intimidate anyone, she presented herself and bowed her head. "Hello there." She said sweetly. Hoping not to scare away such a captivating lovely mare.

As her mind whirled and raced while she tried to decide if she should pursue the idea of seeking out the creature with the lovely voice that had caught her ears, Eliana stared blankly out into the middle of her path. Her mother would be against such things, strangers offered little help and were often untrustworthy. Her mother had instilled it in to her that it was just best to avoid others at all costs. They would leave scars on your heart, she had said, they would come in to your life and then be gone in mere moments. There was nothing of value there, nothing but pain and sadness that you had never asked for. While Eliana believed that there was worth in trying to live differently from her mother, to be open and welcoming of others, but there was always the calling voice of her mother in the back of her mind, urging her to stick to the way she was raised, obey what she had been taught and avoid straying from the path her mother had put her on.

With a shake of her feathered mane, the white and yellow mare broke herself out of her daze and glanced down at her talons. They dug into the earth underneath them, making small divots in the soft ground. It was difficult to ignore the things she had been taught by her mother. She had done so much to try and change herself, to try and break the mold of her mother had raised her to fit. She wanted... no, she needed to be different. There was so much turmoil and pain in her family that trying to live the way she had been taught would only make things worse. Her family needed light, happiness, and understanding. It was the only way to make sure they could be healed, to make sure that her family could be a proper family as it should have been from the beginning. Eliana had to break past the voice that told her to obey, she had to change and be different, despite how difficult it was.

With a quiet sigh, Eliana lifted her gaze from her talons and couldn't help the small gasp that escaped her beak. The mare looked up in shock at the mare that had strayed on to the forest path. It was rare to get visitors. In fact, it was rare to ever even see anyone out in the forest she and her mother called home. The mare was beautiful, a wonderful shade of purple with the cutest wings. Eliana couldn't help but stare at the curly haired mare for a few moments before quickly averting her gaze back to the ground. "H-hello..." She offered the greeting with a shaking, quiet voice.
