There was enough sense in Reisio’s noggin to give them a general sense of direction. If the way that they came was the hospital, then -- this way… Should be the toy store. Yes, this was it. Bloodpusher pumping, Reisio steeled as best as they could and looked for some reprieve- any reprieve. This wasn’t like getting lost at the Civisect Mall. There were no delicious pretzel smells or handy maps. Less of an entertainment center, and more of a cruel game now. Perhaps this was what terror was all about.
Fortunately, a flickering (but still legitimate!) bathroom sign lead the blueblood to a respiteblock. Deep breaths and intentionally steady footsteps lead the troll into a stall, and barely allow them to resist the urge to scream at the horrid gremlin-esque doll sitting on the loadgaper. Their mouth wobbled, then pressed into as firm a line as possible. They were just about out of here - they knew it. After seeing the greenblood for the second time, and after this shenaniganizing, Reisio’s fear was beginning to wane and the panic of losing their twin was starting to solidify their purpose. They took the opportunity to finish some business and marched out of the stall, hands clutched tightly into fists and looking straight ahead so as to not be frightened by the many spooky props and obstacles in the maze.
There it was - the dance floor. Et tu, dance floor?
So it all came to an end here - the entrance was in sight, and Reisio wasted no time. Their pace increased from a dirge step to a full sprint. “HEY!!” They shouted, desperate. “ASSISTANCE! EMERGENCY. WE NEED HELP!”

The groans and shuffling faded behind Oisier as they distanced themselves from that awful room. Once they were certain the only footsteps were their own, they slowed to a stop. Hands on their knees, they wheezed air back into their bellowsacs. From their position, they noticed a piece of paper stuck to the bottom of their boot. They wobbled on one foot as they peeled away the paper and looked it over.
"Wh-What? This is egregious..." Oisier was by no means strapped for cash, but they had no intention of paying a medical bill when this was the kind of service they were receiving. If anything, they'd had a few sweeps taken off of their maximum life expectancy.
"Can you believe this, Rei... sio..." Oisier let the paper drop from their hand as their arm fell to their side. That was right. They were lost. Oisier gulped and steeled themselves. Their throat twinged from all the screaming and panting. They couldn't stop, however. They needed to find Reisio and leave this awful place. With purpose, they strode down the hall.
They almost felt at ease with the tastefulness of the decor. Numerous portraits lined the walls. Each troll featured looked serious and distinguished. Was that real velvet?
Apparently not, as an arm burst out of the frame. Oisier jumped and swatted it on impulse, continuing down the hall at a dead run.

Oisier was becoming all-too practiced at navigating the terrain of the hospital. Unfortunately that familiarity didn't seem to extend to a proper sense of direction, or lack of tension. They weaved around cots and IV drips, and slid behind curtains at the faintest sound of movement. Their bloodpusher was fit to burst. They knew they had to be reaching the edge of the wing, if from no other indication than the sheer amount they'd been running.
A fake arm popped from the wall, slapping Oisier with a paper and a shriek. They tore the document from their face with a number of frantic swipes. Another medical bill. Hilarious.
But the offending surprise did signal the end of that particular horror show. Oisier spared a glance down one end of the split hallway, then the other. A brief flash illuminated a frosted window. For a moment, Oisier feared another pseudo-paranormal activity. However, a moment later, the flash occurred again. Measured and harmless. The lighthouse!
If the luminous caution spire was that way, then the other must..!
Oisier gathered the last of their stamina and ran opposite the light. Distant music began to penetrate the surrounding walls. Oisier kicked through the next door with complete disregard for the furnishing, the scares, or the costumed bodies occupying the dance floor.
"REISIO!" They screamed. They rocketed across the room before even spotting their twin amidst the commotion. They contacted Reisio mid-stride, half continuing through the other blueblood with their momentum and the force of their hug. "We were lost," they sobbed into Reisio's neck. Their ferocity left the children tripoding as one of Oisier's knees merged into Reisio's. Oisier showed no concern for the way they wobbled unsteadily. "They tried to do away with us, but we wouldn't let them!" Oisier pulled back, though one arm was still half-buried in Reisio's shoulder. They sniffled and used their free hand to blot their face. "We are... We are quite good at haunted hives."
Oisier hiccuped in a way they would have found most unbecoming were they not so happy. "The very best."
