👑 Discord Tutorial 👑
Here are some facts about discord~ Discord is a messaging system you can use in multiple ways on both phones, computers, tablets, and it is even possible to use it on consoles.
It offers features like voice chat, video chat, bot -commanding, private messaging/direct messaging(PM/DM), in-game overlay, and groupchat servers.
And best of all, discord is FREE.
👑 How to Join Discord 👑
[✦] Click the discord invite link to join. Here it is again in case you missed it. 👑 IV Group Discord 👑
[✦] The link should take you to Discord's front page where you will need to put in a username or your gaia user name and click "Continue"
[✦] The next screen should be as seen below.
It is just explaining some facts about how you can download discord, use it on a browser, or on a phone.
Just click "Next" Or if you know how to use discord just click "Skip Setup".
[✦] On the next screen you have three tasks to do to set up your new discord account.
👑✦👑✦👑✦👑1. Is to upload an image for your profile icon. This is optional because you have more chances to do so later.
👑✦👑✦👑✦👑2. Now you will need to enter an email address and a password to start setting up your account.
👑✦👑✦👑✦👑3. Once done with the first two boxes down to the bottom right you will see "Register Your Account". Click that to continue.
[✦] Once done entering your email and password you will be taken to the next page. Now some times you may find a little pop up appearing.
This is just discord letting you know what's new in the works. To exit this pop-up just click the X at the top right-hand corner.
[✦] The next page is a reminder about how you can download discord or use it in a browser on your phone or desktop.
The download and browser versions are both free but personally, I think it's easier to just use it in the browser.
Click "Start Using Discord" for in browser use. Or click "Download" to download discord.
[✦] If you click "Start Using Discord" the next screen should be the loading screen.
[✦] After the loading screen is done the screen below will appear.
The orange bar at the top is just another reminder of discords optional download and apps. To get rid of the bar click the X to the right hand side.
[✦]After the orange bar is gone, a blue bar at the top will appear and will ask you if you want to connect your facebook account.To get rid of the bar click the X to the right hand side as well.
Once the orange and blue bar is gone make sure to read all the text on this page.
These are rules-and-guidelines. The rules are much like the rules of gaia with some exceptions. There is a scroll bar to the right to use.
After reading the rules head over to #General Channel. Just hover your mouse over and click. It is to the left side of the screen.
In the General channel, you should be welcomed by a mod if they are online. Please tell them your gaia username, so they may give you a role~
[✦] Since you clicked next instead of skip setup earlier then you will see Yellow glowing! Exclamation marks. These will walk you through some details of discord.
[✦]Also, after you join the IV family Discord server, I suggest you turn notifications to "only @mentions" so you don't constantly hear the alarms from messages in the server and only hear them when someone is trying to get your attention by pinging you/@ing you/ ating you/ mentioning you.
You do this by going to the down arrow on the top left hand side, by the words "IV Group Discord". Clicking on "Notification Settings", then clicking on "only @mentions" and then "Done".
