Berith had traveled along with her familiar Azazel through the lands for some time now, seeing all she could and experiencing everything she could. While she never journeyed for very long without her family, she enjoyed the head start that she got on her travels. With winter setting in, and the chill in the air, Berith could only anticipate the coming snow with eager glee. She enjoyed the snow and always looked forward to being able to frolic and play around in the fluffy snow that blanketed the ground. Now that she was reunited with the rest of her family after so many years being separated, there were so many new family members that she could she her enjoyment with.

Even so, it was always nice to have some time to herself. Plus she'd be able to point out all the fun things she had noticed on her journey ahead of the rest of her family. Like the time she had pointed found such a nice little pond with the clearest of waters that was filled with the smoothest of rocks. It had been such a lovely place to show to her brother and nieces. Her mother had found it to be a soothing place and had given her the sweetest words of praise. It had been a lovely day.

Berith looked up to the skies, a smile on her face as she spied Azazel flying not too far ahead of her. He always liked to keep watch and let her know if anything dangerous were to appear on the horizon. She thought it was a silly practice, but Azazel always like to do it and if she tried to dissuade him of it, he simply ignored her anyways.

"Do you see anything interesting from up there?"

"Hmm?" The parrot glance quickly down at his bonded from his spot in the sky before looking back ahead. It was always better safe than sorry. "Nothing that's spurred any sense of danger yet. Though that doesn't meant there won't be." He called down to Berith. With a hum, he looked on ahead and notice not too far off in the distance what appeared to be a graveyard. Strange, but he knew that Berith would most likely be more than willing to traverse it. Her family had taught their children of death and he knew it was a regular occurrence in Berith's foalhood; she had no fear of it and Azazel doubted she would think anything of it. "There's a graveyard up ahead."

"Oh really? How fun! I wonder if it's being taken care of... I hope so! If it isn't, maybe we can spend some time to make it look all nice and pretty! I'm sure the dead would like to know that they haven't been forgotten." With some pep in her step, the mare happily continued on her journey with a destination in mind.

Sorry for the delay in reply.

Veslorurn plodded slowly through the snow. It had been a long morning for him. Out at dawn to find the freshest offerings for the graves. The dead certainly didn't seem to mind that his pelt might be a little scary. In winter was hardest for him. There were no fresh flowers, and most of the berries were gone by now. He thought with irony of the last time he'd left berry covered branches on the gravestones. The birds and critters had come to feast. At least they'd looked pretty for a time and the animals were well fed.

Now in winter he stuck mostly to evergreens. A reminder that winter would end eventually. He couldn't help but noticed now that the snow had fallen, how he was one of the two most brightly colored things out. Veslo glanced behind him at the blue wisp-like fox that followed his hoof prints. He wasn't quite sure how she'd gotten attached to him, but she was more than willing to help when he decorated the graves.

Fiammetta picked her way delicately through the path in the snow. She had been traveling when she had come across a most unusual family in a most unusual place. The fox couldn't remember the last time she'd met not one, but several living together amid a graveyard, so she'd assumed they were family. She'd watched the group for several days. There was a stallion and mare who appeared to live there full time, and the others came and went as they pleased. The mare already had a wolf familar, but the stallion was alone.

One day, she watched the stallion tending the graves and putting out fresh offerings. It was then she decided he was for her. Fiammetta had simply walked up and started helping. The stallion was trying to reach for something just out of range and she pushed it to him. From then on, she'd gone around with him. Today had been a gathering trip, and soon they'd start decorating. She carried her collection of offerings too. Sometimes she could still find nice little things that made great additions.

Her fur was fluffed out against the cold. Over head, she head the sound of wings and looked up. A curious bird flew nearby and she watched it. Fiammetta noticed it was headed in the direction of the graveyard. "Veslorurn, I think you might have guests." She murmured to let him know. They didn't get too many visitors here.

Berith had never minded the chill of the snow or the winter air. Even if she hadn't been born and raised in a cold mountain climate, she had always enjoyed the winter and the snow that blanketed the ground. The mare playfully lifted her hooves through the soft, white flakes. She couldn't help but smile as the fine powder clung to her fetlocks and slowly fall loose to the ground as she gave her hoof a quick shake.

The mare turned her dark mane back up to the sky, eyes trailing the sky to see her faithful familiar and follow his lead. She was excited to hear about the graveyard. Berith didn't expect to find anyone there of course, not anyone alive anyways. How funny would that be, wandering in to a graveyard and finding a member of the deceased up and chattering away? Though... maybe that would be a little nightmarish depending on how creepy they looked. The process of decaying and decomposition wasn't very pretty. She chuckled quietly to herself at the thought, shaking her head in her own amusement. What an idea... the dead coming back to have pleasant conversation. Berith couldn't help but wonder, as she journeyed on, what the dead would want to chat about, despite the outlandishness of the scenario.

Berith eventually came upon a border constructed of stone and she could see headstones popping up above the edges of the wall. It seemed Azazel had no interest in returning back to her yet, probably still searching the area from the safety of the sky. Berith knew he would return as soon as he felt he had scouted the area out thoroughly... she only wished it wasn't so hard to talk to him while he was up so high.

A happy tune sounded from the back of her throat. There was a a pep in her step as she weaved her way through the gravestones. She hadn't seen anything out of the ordinary in her meandering, though Berith had never been the most observant individual. She got lost in her own world easily and the outside world simply disappeared. It wasn't until Azazel returned to her and perched on her back, gently tugging on her mane to try and pull her out of her thoughts. "Oh, hello, Azazel! Did you see anything fun while you were up in the sky?"

"We aren't alone here. I saw two in the graveyard, further ahead. One is a Soquili and the other looked like a fox. Try not to be too... friendly with them in the first few seconds of meeting them." He sounded almost exasperated, but like he anticipated Berith doing just as she pleased. He had been around her almost her entire life and he knew that the mare very much marched to the beat of her own drum, despite the warnings of others.

"Aw, don't be like that! They'll be lovely, I'm sure!" Berith skipped along, eager to seek out the two figures that Azazel had seen from his scouting session.

Sorry for making you wait so long for a response! Life got really hectic and work's picked up quite a bit! I'm still very much down with RPing Berith and Veslorurn, I just won't be quick on the reply time for a little while.
