But the sky had been so clear and hour ago and the air was still and relatively warm at the foot of the mountain. But she'd never climbed the mountains before. She didn't know the weather could change so rapidly and it hadn't occurred to her that it would get colder the higher she got. Wasn't hot air supposed to rise and all that? Now thick, round snowflakes were falling and they melted almost the instant they touched her. Soon her coat would be soaked through and with the wind picking up with every passing moment things weren't looking too good.

She should have turned back a while ago but there was a stubbornness that ran through her blood. She usually tried to keep it in check. Some challenges were just too hard to resist though.

And now a layer of snow was beginning to pile up on the one that had already been there from the previous snow. It was only a few inches deep -for now- but it was slowing Elaheh's progress nonetheless. It was hard to tell how reliable the ground beneath the snow was at this point. If she had decided to turn around she doubted her own hoof prints would be around long enough to lead her to the bottom again. The best option now was to find some kind of shelter and hunker down until the weather cleared up. Finding shelter, however, didn't seem like the easiest of things to do on a mountain. The trees only offered so much cover and finding a cave was probably unlikely unless one knew their way around...

Elaheh sighed -a literally visible sigh in the frigid air- and carried on. Might as well keep searching. While she still could.

A young bear watched the outsider with curious eyes. Her white fur allowed her to be virtually unseen, though much would go unnoticed in this snow. She tilted her head to one side as the unknown horse stopped and looked around. She looked cold to the bear, an easy meal for other predators. She huffed, frosted breath covering her muzzle.

"Father will know what to do," the bear decided slipping away into the drift. She ran as fast as her polar bear gait would allow up the mountain to the cave she shared with her father. Slipping into the dimly light space, she spotted her father lounging near some smouldering embers.

His frost colored form seemed to fill the space as his untucked his hooves from under him. He stood, turning slowly and carefully to face the polar bear. His well groomed bread accented his words.

"Vhat is it Molodoy? You seem in panic?" he rumbled.

"A stranger is climbing mountain. They are not doing good," Molodoy panted pushing past the giant stallion to draw near to the embers. Savva's breath hitched as he glanced out at the vast expanse of white. He pawed the stone floor anxiously. He looked back at the lounging bear.

"Vhere?" Molodoy used her paw and pointed to where she had come from. Savva snorted and entered the snow going to where the stanger was. He pushed effortlessly through the ice and cold and swiftly found the stranger on his mountain. His light eyes narrowed.

"Vho are you?" the giant bellowed loud enough the wind wouldn't steal away his words.

Elaheh was beginning to visibly shiver now that the snow was sinking into her coat. And no matter which way she turned her head it seemed like the wind was always blowing directly at her face. At this rate she'd end up walking right over a cliff, no matter how careful she tried to be. She had to stop. The effort of dragging her hooves through the snow was wearing her down, and honestly squinting against all this snow flying at her face was starting to make her head ache. The longer she dragged this on, the more desperate the situation became. The tiniest hint of despair started to sink in.

And then absolute panic took over as a voice bellowed through the wind. Elaheh's gaze shot around, frantically searching for the source of the voice and really only finding more snow in her eyes. She tried her best to blink it all away and eventually spotted something vaguely Soquili shaped and slightly more blue than everything around. Instinct told her to be wary of whatever this might be, but the chill in her bones said any fate that awaited her would be better than the one she suffered from now. She tried to take the middle road, a cautious but friendly approach.

"Oh, just a t-....traveler. One who's-s made a...s-stupid mistake." The words refused to come out smoothly. She was just too cold. And though she didn't think anything of it now, she'd later wonder how she'd been able to understand the voice so clearly through the howling storm around her. But right at this moment the only thought on her mind was "Please have a blanket."
