This was not his best day. No, that was an understatement — most days were better than this one. Even the time he fell into the ocean from a cliff and bruised his cheek had been a better day. Hell, even the time he lost most of his tail hair was a better day! This? This was just degrading. Demoralizing. Humiliating. This was torture.
Like most Amachi's, Lyric was a traveler. He found it natural, regardless of the fact he had been raised in a set location. Perhaps not belonging back home had started the travel, but he never could remember why he left home really. He just had, and now he traveled. He liked to say it was for fun, but really, Lyric felt empty. He didn't have anything his. Not a singular home. Not a skill. Not even a partner, although he'd never dream of calling another horse his. That just screamed issues he wasn't going to dive into. Regardless, Lyric traveled, and whatever he was searching for hadn't yet been found.
And, really, he absolutely had not found it here, either.
No, all he had found during his exploration of these strange woods was a steep hill, bramble, and now a thorny bush that had all but consumed him whole. He was tangled, hair caught in every branch possible and legs cutting into vines. One tumble down a hill and here he was; helpless and lost. Really, if something murdered him right then and there he wouldn't blame them. He was practically offering himself to anyone who lived nearby.
Cheeks flush with embarrassment, Lyric struggled against the vines and thorns, hissing loudly as he only proceeded to get himself further into his mess. A stomp here and a huff there wasn't doing anything but further agitate himself and probably give away his position. His bells didn't help, either. Amachi's often liked to adorn themselves in bells, and now he regretted his vanity.
Someone, just end him of his misery. He was never going to live this one down.

![User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. She enjoyed the smell of wildflowers and grass. And most of all, she enjoyed the quiet tranquility of her woods.
But… her ear twitched as the sound of bells came again…. That tranquility was being disturbed by something. Someone? Faye slowly started off in the direction of the bell sounds. The sound of small paws falling into step beside her alerted her that Wal was equally as curious.
“Do you know what it is?” Faye asked.
“Don’t know. They’re making a lot of noise. If they wake Lilith, she may sit on them,” Wal warned.
“Hmm,”
As they continued, the sound of bells grew louder. Now she could hear the hisses and grunts of a struggle as well. She stopped and dropped into a crouch in the brush, Wal beside her.
“Did someone fall down the hill again?” Faye hissed. Wal poked her nose out of the brush and squinted into the distance.
“Ha! Looks like it,” she laughed.
“And they’re tangled in -”
“The thorns. Yes! Oh this is always fun to watch.”
Faye sighed. The last stranger to get stuck had been able to free themselves with their claws and quickly leave her woods. This didn’t sound like the last time though. She needed to get closer to investigate if they were dangerous. If they weren't, she could free them and they could leave her in peace. She started moving forward when the crack of something dry and brittle breaking next to her caused her to pause.
“Wal,” she hissed. “You can see. Why are you stepping on twigs like an amateur?”
Wal whispered an apology and Faye tilted her head up to listen. Had the intruder heard them?
