Skylar stretched her arms, as she made her way through the hallways. Apparently there was some sort of Halloween event going on. As much as Skylar didn't particularly have any interest in it, she almost didn't dress up. However, she was supposed to be going to her own club room for the festival. As such, she supposed that she would have to dress accordingly. She looked down at her own clothing, sighing again. She was lucky to have an outfit from her aunt. Skylar didn't know how her aunt managed to sneak it into her luggage, but she did that and more. She even slipped in some Christmas clothing and other stylish outfits into her luggage.

Another sigh left her mouth, and she ran a hand through her hair before turning the corner and making in to the club room. Ace flew silently by her side, and Saphera curled around her neck comfortably. The little Alolan Vulpix had grown oddly attached to Skylar over the break, not that it wasn't the same for Skylar herself and her own pokemon. While her Axew was the baby of the family, Saphera acted like she was the baby most of the time.

Once she reached the door, she slowly opened it and proceeded to walk in. Skylar rolled her eyes as Maria chirped out that she looked so adorable, and that she should take photos "Absolutely NOT" she hissed, crossing her arms. Maria pouted at that, but didn't press any further. Skylar moved towards the table with the fliers for the club. Skylar didn't have any particular motivation to actively seek out new members. After all more members meant more people she had to baby sit. If they truly were interested in joining, they'd come on their own.

With that all done, Skylar simply sat down and crossed her legs as she waited for anyone to come into the clubroom. However, Skylar highly doubted anyone would be coming. Still it was her job as president to be present regardless. She'd just wait and see what happened for now.

Skylar hadn't seen anyone coming in for the last hour, and so she decided it couldn't hurt to read in the mean time right? So she got up and slowly made her way over to the bookcase that was located towards the back of the room. Her fingers lightly skimmed the books before stopping at particular one towards the far end of the shelf. She pursed her lips and pulled it out before studying it. She has some how come into the possession of this mysterious book and hadn't really bothered to look at it... until now. Perhaps she could read a little bit of it? It couldn't hurt right?

However, as she opened the book she blinked. What... what was with this book? She squinted her eyes, staring at the pages. This book... what language was it in?! She couldn't read this, or at least she didn't think she could... not yet anyways. Well she'd have to look into this book further when she had some more free time during the school year. Skylar closed the book with a huff, not noticing how Maria seemed silent the whole time as she stared at the book in her hands. Skylar decided to take the book with her, no point in leaving it in here were others could see it.

She quickly grabbed another book off the shelf, before walking back to her seat and placing the first book into her bag. She then crossed her legs and opened the random book she'd chosen. It seemed interesting, it contained some theories about some pokemon that lurked in the shadows. She read on, before she finished the passage and was then introduced to another legend. Her eyes scanned the page, her curiosity getting the better of her.

She pursed her lips, so absorbed in the book that she hadn't heard the new person entering into the room. The new chapter described a legend, something about a pokemon so dangerous that it lurked in another dimension- She didn't get to finish the rest of the sentence as Shephera mewed into her ear distracting her from the book in her hands. She looked up, only now noticing the girl in the room. She only really caught the part about her name and her pokemon. She ran a hand through her hair, before looking the girl over.

Skylar determined the girl much be a new student, which meant this girl.. Naomi was her underclassmen. Skylar stood up, booked marked the last page she was on, and then place the book back down onto the table. She then turned her full attention towards Naomi "My apologizes, I wasn't expecting anyone to be interested in joining today" she said politely. She didn't bother being bubbly and friendly, Skylar was simply being professional. Skylar turned and grabbed one of the fliers from the table and handed it to the girl "I'm assuming you're interesting in joining the club, otherwise you wouldn't be here correct? My name is Skylar Moore, i'm the current president of this club. This flier has all the information on the club, so feel free to take it with you if you're still unsure if you truly want to join or not. If you've already made up your mind, the club form sheets are at the other side of the table. Please take one, fill it out and take it to the appropriate office to officially join the club" she said, introducing herself. She waited for Naomi to digest the information Skylar just gave her, as well as to look over the flier. Skylar then turned to sit back down in her seat again. She crossed her legs "if you have any questions of concerns please feel free to ask" she added.

Skylar waited for Naomi to either leave or ask any questions she might have. Skylar didn't really think she'd have any, so to her surprise when Naomi did say she had a few questions Skylar made sure to turn her attention towards her. Skylar pursed her lips as the girl asked her what got her interested in the supernatural to start this club. That was rather personal, Skylar didn't know if you wanted to answer. However, she needed to be professional about this. She pondered it for a moment, she couldn't just tell her see saw a ghost named Maria and was practically forced to make the club. She crossed her arms "hmmm... that's a rather personal question, but I suppose you could say that I was enlightened one day. I don't really care to share those details, but I made this club based on my own curiosity. What makes something true? What causes events to happen, when we have no logical explanation to justify the cause? I want to find the worlds 'truths' if you will. I want to see them for myself, not take the word of someone else" she explained.

Skylar waited before continuing "to answer your next question, our research is mainly regional... however, once a year do have the option to take a trip and investigate locations outside the region. Of course we'd need the supervisor and the dean to approve a field trip in order for that to happen. Moving on to your question about the topics submitted. We mainly go off the requests students or faculty submit. However, if there are no requests within a weeks time then I'll pick a few topics and we'll vote on the one that we want to research. We don't typically have any special equipment as of yet because we're a new club. There's also the issue of not having a lot of members... because we're so small, we don't exactly have the largest budget. So we usually use that to purchase books for our research" she said.

Again, Skylar waited for Naomi to digest this information before moving on "Which leads me to answer your most important question, do we have special access to books in the library? Unfortunately the library is open to everyone, and we're not allowed to have special access to certain materials located there. However, we do have our now sort of library that no one can access but us here in the club room. These books are for the exclusive use of the Supernatural Studies Club, and as such no one but members may access them. As I stated before, most of our budget goes to purchasing books for our exclusive use. It helps with our research after all, and we don't have to bother with others not associated with the club checking them out" she explained.

After answering the girls questions, Skylar noted how serious Naomi was about stating that she was an avid reader. The girl explained that anything that gave her a reason to read something was an A plus for her. Skylar hummed "well we certainly have a wide variety of reading materials you can choose from if you choose to join. I can't promise they're topics you'll enjoy though, as they're more specific to lore and supernatural tales" she said. She raised a brow as she stated that she also does photography and that if that was a thing that she'd do that as well. Skylar pursed her lips, there was a club for photography her right? Skylar stood, grabbing the book she had been reading earlier and walking over to the bookcase "I believe there is a photography club here, however, please note that we do have mandatory meetings in this club. If you chose to join multiple clubs, be sure they don't overlap with each other. I don't take kindly to members who skip out on important events" she warned, her eyes cold and serious. Skylar placed the book she was reading back on the shelf "any other questions I can answer?" she asked.
