A location where pokemon live on campus but aren't available for capture. Caring and loving pokemon is one of the most important things a trainer can do, so come on by and play with the pokemon!

Without a good idea of where everything in the school was, it was rather difficult to navigate to the Daycare Center. However, with a bit of luck, he managed to find the place. It didn't look like anything out of the ordinary. White pickett fence, small building with a yard for pokemon to roam around in. It was... Rustic, dull. After checking in with the person at the desk, Jericho was asked to wait a few minutes while his pokemon was retreived.
As the daycare worker went into the backroom, he thought back to the ceremony he had just escaped from. Jeez, that whole thing was weird. The headmaster was so extra, the reps were awkward and clumsy, and the teachers all seemed waaay too important to be teaching at a school like this by their own free will. And more than anything, everyone seemed to buy into this whole thing! It was so annoying! The worker came back and handed Jericho a pokeball. Jericho was too far in this thoughts to give a thanks. Instead, he took the pokeball and hung out by the side of the daycare center. "Well, let's see what you are, I guess," he said to himself. Opening up the ball, he was met with a dinosaur looking pokemon, with a leaf on his head. Immediately, he scanned the pokemon to find out that it's name was Chikorita. "In battle, Chikorita waves its leaf around to keep the foe at bay. However, a sweet fragrance also wafts from the leaf, becalming the battling Pokémon and creating a cozy, friendly atmosphere all around." Jericho said, reading straight from the Pokedex. Well this pokemon was certainly weird. It wasn't that he hated the grass type, he just wasn't particularly interested in Chikorita, not as much as he was interested in the Pokeball. He examined it, making it bigger and smaller a few times in a row. Jericho didn't quite know how it worked, but he wanted to find out. With the ball in his hand, moved away from the building and sat down by a nearby tree. The Chikorita happily laid in the grass next to him, content to not be constantly bug the boy. As cool as the PokeGear and Pokeball were, it was not quite like being back at home, in his real homes with his real friends. He huffed, laying flat on the grass and looking up at the sky. "This place sucks," he said to himself. He wouldn't get to see his friends, his parents, or his brother for a while. The people in his house seemed super peppy and annoying, and none of the teachers he was introduced to taught anything he cared about. At this rate, he was better off just not going to class!

tab'Freaking hack of a school probably going to give the rest of our stuff tomorrow... Freaking forcing us to participate and socialize for it... Why in the heck do we freaking need an orientation day anyway? You know what would've been an easy, non-intrusive alternative to that? A freaking map of the school campus!' She just didn't understand why students couldn't be left to their own devices; she didn't need nor want anyone's help! The girl was getting herself more and more riled up thinking about the school's annoyingly inconvenient system. Looking around the campus, she saw that there were a few signs sprinkled around to help you navigate around, but it'd all be useless if you were blind or didn't know where to look for them. The girl had been mindlessly stomping walking around the area ignoring the signs to the Kingdra dorms to cool off, though she did take a mental note of the signs' content and locations for when she would need to head back. She knew full well that her current unsavory mood combined with the small enclosed space that would be her room would most likely equal to property destruction or people getting hurt. Last thing she ever wanted to do was unintentionally hurt someone. Although destruction was on a case by case basis~
tab Although cooling off was the main objective of her walk, she was also looking for places she could use to skip classes, whatever classes they may be. The ceremony really rubbed her the wrong way and made her lose hope in the school system. Thinking that maybe a change of pace would help her mod, the girl and her Pokemon who were quietly taking in the tranquility of the area decided to take a break by a tree near the daycare building. It seemed like a pretty secluded place where not many people would bother being around. Taking a seat by the tree, the girl grumbled to herself as she banged the back of her head on the tree, "Ugh this place sucks," not noticing the presence of someone on the other side of the tree although hearing that they were coincidentally saying the same thing at the exact same time. While she did mean what she said, she did recognize that this school was worlds better than the suffocating hellhole she previously called home, at least in terms of company anyway. The girl's ears perked as she heard an echo in the words she had just spoken. Did she hit her head on the tree too hard? "The heck..." And sure enough, when the newly sorted Kingdra student turned around, she saw a blond boy with a pear colored Pokemon which took her by surprise. "...are you?" And in her surprise, she accidentally initiated a conversation. 'Crap...' So much for going under the radar.

As he said that the school sucked, Jericho could have sworn that his sentiments had echoed. With a quizzical look on his face, he slowly sat up, glancing to his Chikorita. "Uh..." Was he dreaming this? Or did someone say exactly what he did? Jericho turned around, only to immediately be face to face with some girl. He leaned back, giving some space between them. She seemed just as confused as he was. "Did you just... say this place sucks, too?" His new Chikorita cautiously walked up to the two of them, looking at both the girl and Jericho with wide eyes. It was certainly eerie, but if he had heard right, this girl may be the only other person around here who also didn't want to bother with this nonsense. "Cause honestly, I thought I was the only one who thought that," he admitted. He leaned against the tree, looking over at her. "Everyone else just seems waaay too into being here, y'know? Cheering for every little thing, talking about being our best friends and big sisters or whatever? I dunno, it just felt super forced to me... Did you get that vibe?" Without knowing any of them, without knowing whether or not they had anything in common, some of the reps from the ceremony were determined to be everyone's best friend forever. He didn't want a bunch of second years breathing down his neck, and he didn't want to be interacting with the weird headmaster either.
Jericho hadn't expected to find himself out here with one of his classmates. His plan had been to do his own thing, keep talking with his friends from home, and just wait until his parents realize that this place is pointless and pull him out of here. But until then, he was stuck here. But at least he didn't seem to be alone in his thinking. "So, what are you in for?" He asked the question as if the two of them have been sent off to prison. In a way, it really did feel like it. They were both here, probably against their wills. Stuck going to pointless assemblies all year, like tomorrow's orientation. Would it matter if he suddenly fell ill next morning? Or, just happen to stray from the group while trying to find a restroom? Honestly, he hoped he could just ditch out of it entirely. Surely this place had a map somewhere he could use instead. If not, he'd rather just spend the day making one than spending his day with the teachers. Did he really even need a tour of this place? Jericho wasn't too great at small talk usually, but knowing that he and this girl were on the same page about this place helped a lot.

tab Mishe's eyes went from a skeptical narrow glare to eyes widened in curiosity when the boy before her had repeated what she had just said a second time. Okay, so she wasn't going crazy. That was a relief. "Yeah...?" Still riding the wave of surprise, she unintentionally continued to engage in the conversation by answering his question. And then, like a hole growing larger in a dam, the boy just continued talking... and talking... To his defense, anything more than a sentence from stranger was already an annoyance for her. While she did initially think that he was too talkative for her taste, she actually found comfort in knowing that she wasn't alone in her mindset. He also didn't seem to want anything from her from the way he was speaking to her(other than the validation that she was also secretly seeking), nor did he have anything to gain from talking to her in the middle of nowhere campus wise, so letting her guard down for a little small talk should be fine. It wasn't like she had anything to do or anywhere else to go at the moment anyway. "Yeah. I checked out after the green-haired one. Mindless Mareep, the lot of them." she replied in a rather dry manner as her eyes narrowed once again, staring at the void. "Glad to hear that I'm not the only one." This time she spoke looking in his direction, trying to get a better read on him and his actions.
tab As they continued talking, Mishe surprised herself in that she was actually having a non-confrontational, peaceful and normal conversation with another actual human being. It was a rare occasion, even more so that she wasn't actually hating it? The girl let out a sarcastic snicker when the blond asked her what she was in for, as if they were in prison. A dark yet refreshing take on their situations if she ever heard one. "Too much to count..." She didn't want to get into it, but she would at least dignify his question with an answer. It really was a long list though. Assaulting her fellow students(even if she was heavily provoked), getting expelled from school in the process, threatening her 'parents'... and the list just went on and on. "You?" Throwing the ball back in his court, she realized that her anger had subsided to a mere simmer. Maybe having an ally would make this prison of a school just a tiny bit more bearable. Maybe.

This girl was just like him. Well, somewhat. They both had a shared disdain for this place, and the welcome ceremony did nothing to change that for either of them. If anything, it fueled Jericho's desires to get far far away from this dumb place. This girl had checked out too, sometime early into the ceremony, but Jericho had absolutely no clue who the green haired girl was, exactly. He knew that she was referring to either the Charizard or Flygon girl representatives, but as for which, he wasn't able to tell. His vision kept him from knowing their hair colors, just as he couldn't discern the hair color or eye color of the girl he was talking to now. It could be red or orange or some sort of green, not that he would know which was which if he could see them. Either way, he nodded along as if he knew just who she meant. They were both kind of annoying, anyway. "Yeah. The whole thing was pretty dumb."The girl seemed to feel along the same way he did. At least they weren't alone in questioning all of this. It all seemed way too over the top for him too. And if he found this place to be miserable, knowing he wasn't the only one bugged by it helped a bit. Jericho smiled a little. "Same here," he quietly replied.
The girl had a sense of humor that wasn't based around putting on a bad disguise and pretending to be an MC. He smirked. "Wow there, real rebel, huh?" he replied in jest. Jericho thought a bit on what landed him here before giving a shrug. "Think it's cause my parents fell for the garbage they fed us in the ceremony." When his parents said they had good news, a part of Jericho had secretly hoped that they were going to say that they were getting back together. That they'd all be moving back to Veilstone City and be a family... You can see how that ended up. Jericho thought to the end of the ceremony. They were to have some sort of orientation tomorrow. God, did Jericho not want to deal with that nonsense. "You think they'll take attendance at that orientation thing tomorrow? Cause I dunno if I can deal with those people more than we already have to..."He grumbled a bit, rolling his eyes and hoping he'd somehow wake up sick as a dog. If he suddenly caught the flu, maybe he could just stay in bed and play video games. He could just ignore the whole event and make use of the map on his pokegear. Jericho glanced over to the girl he was with, realizing he didn't know something a little important. If he had been paying attention during the ceremony, maybe he wouldn't have had to ask, but it was clear neither of them cared enough to bother with that. "Also, what's your name, anyway?"

Are you ready for a new year?
Antonio led the students to the Daycare. From the outside the facility looked just like a regular house. Well it was actually bigger than a house, but it had that 'home' look to it. However, behind that home was a big open field where the Pokemon who were dropped off in the DayCare could move around and play with other Pokemon. Antonio suspected that a good number of students would spend their time here so it was best to have them be familiar with the location. Some students might have already visited this place in order to receive their academy Pokemon, but this time they would be able to have a proper tour of the Daycare. Antonio looked over his shoulder at the students following him and stopped once they were outside the DayCare.
"Alright everyone, this is the DayCare! Some of you might have already visited this facility yesterday when you received your academy Pokemon. Here's a little interesting fact for everyone. The island where the academy was built is a very unique location due to all the different environments present." Antonio turned to students and then motioned to the trees surrounding them. "Not everyone Pokemon in the island is native to the Evren region and some Pokemon were actually introduced to the island recently. However, before these new species are sent to the wild, we raise them here to make sure they are prepared for their new environment." The actually process was a little more complicated than that since it involved breeding and making sure the new Pokemon they were releasing to the wild would be able to reproduce. Those topics were based saved for a later time.
"The DayCare Assistant is waiting for us inside, please be on your best behaviors and listen carefully to his introduction." With those words, Antonio led the students inside the DayCare to the front desk where a familiar face would be waiting for them to begin their tour.

(Extra Note: Alright guys here is how the orientation will work ^^ everyday I will be posting Antonio moving to a new location [please check the schedule] where we will meet with the adult character in-charge of each job. We will not be spending more than one or two days IRL in each location so please try your best to get as many posts as you can before we move to the next location. Thanks guys!)
Brian followed Antonio and the other students to the daycare, looking around at their surroundings to familiarize himself with the area. It was a good idea on his part, since he sometimes got lost easily. With his parents running a daycare back in Hoenn, the daycare here was one place Brian knew he would enjoy. Grace, too, would wind up enjoying the tour, as she remembered her time with Brian's parents. Brian didn't need to be told to be on his best behavior, as he had no intention of acting out and giving his parents a bad reputation because of him. Still, it wouldn't hurt to do what they were told. He just wondered if the daycare workers would recognize his name, or the name of his parents.
Hailey followed kind of half-heartedly to the daycare. She seemed a little bit bored, even as they arrived. She set her guitar down on one end and held it against herself as she stood in place to wait for whoever was running the place. As she waited, she looked over to Brian and Grace. "Cute Pokémon. You guys also new to raising Pokémon or did you have more exposure to them?" Octavia still stood on her shoulder and observed, especially interested in Grace because she was another Pokémon. She waved down with a smile to the Ralts.
Hakeem heard the entrance door opening as he was handling the eggs and the newly hatched pokemon.It was time for their first meal of the day but the young ones hadn't learned manners just yet as they looked at the bag in Hakeem's arms and decided they could do it themselves. He was use to be climbed like a tree by the smallest pokemon since well... he was like a tree to them. He chuckled as his pokemon sighed and tried to wrangle the young ones together. When Hakeem made it out front to greet the group outside, he was juggling between a pichu who wanted to play and an Egg he was monitoring as it came from overseas before class started.
Hakeem looked at the students as he held onto the egg while Fae used his ribboned feelers to grab the little one. The Slyveon sighed as he worked to the front of the groups of the students. The pichu's attention was now onto the students because why play with one when they could play many. He looked down at the students, after all, starting over 6 feet.
"Hello guys," he said his accent come out. "Some of you have seen me before but for the others, my name is Hakeem Miles. I am the attendant here at the daycare. My job here is to take care of pokemon that are left here by teachers and students like yourselves as well as take care of poke-eggs that come to us like this one here. Even the ones that are living on the campus. When I'm not doing that, I am the one who gives you your starting pokemon when you don't bring one from home." Hakeem smiled as he then gestured to his Slyveon.
"This is Fae. Slyveon here has been with me since he was an Eevee. He helps me out here in the daycare. He's one of six who will see around here. In fact..." Hakeem gave a whistle and 5 more pokemon came out from the backroom and into the front of the students. A Blissey, Audino, Clefable, Aromatisse and a Comfey. Each a pinkish pokemon with a nickname that he gave out as they presented themselves respectively. "This is Big Mama, Lil Mama, Baby Girl, Missy, and Erin. Remember as you see them, they are friends who will be happy to help. That includes healing your pokemon. And I'm here if you need help with breeding class stuff or just wanna talk to someone."
He smiled at the students. "Now do you guys have any question?"
𝐌𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐚 𝐊𝐞𝐤𝐮𝐦𝐮 ▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Mokihana held onto Antonio's jacket as he led the group around the academy, stopping at various locations in tandem. The next stop was the academy daycare, which she was excited about. Her smaller feet hit the ground alongside the man's, sometimes tripping and stumbling for a bit before managing to catch herself as the alolan girl moved along. When they came to a stop, a new pair of feet came into proximity, introducing himself as Hakeem, the daycare attendant here at the academy. Hana kept her eyes forward while watching a brief slice of pink and blue colors move alongside him. Her smile widened as the streaks grew in number and each was given a name. A giggle escaped Mokihana's lips, wishing she could have been able to see them, even if for a moment.
"Now do you guys have any question?"
Mokihana hesitated for only a moment, but her hand shot up. Her courage was quickly fleeting, so time would be of the essence. "Yes, I had a question..." She fussed about for a moment in silence before pushing out her question before she chickened out. "I-It might be kinda...not on topic, but do you know if there's any pokemon to help..." Hana mumbled to herself and gripped Antonio's clothing a little tighter. Did she want everybody to know her weakness? It could be used against her and she hated other people knowing it. Letting out a troubled humf, Mokihana continued. "I just have a visual problem...thing. I can't see good and I don't want to get lost."
Brian looked around the daycare, taking in the room they were in so that he could familiarize himself with the place. It was different from his parents' daycare, though there were some aspects that were similar. But he guessed that was common, that each daycare was different from the rest. His thoughts were interrupted by a voice to one side, and he looked to see a girl with blue hair, a guitar, and a Minccino on her shoulder looking at him. "Thanks," he said, in response to her comment about Grace. "Grace is the first one I've raised myself, but I've been around Pokémon since I was little because my parents run a daycare in Hoenn. And yer Minccino's pretty cute, too. I'm Brian, by the way."
Before he could say anything else, a man that introduced himself as Hakeem walked out with a Sylveon, a Pichu, and an egg. He watched with interest as Hakeem introduced Fae, the Sylveon, then gave a whistle and summoned five more Pokémon. When they were asked if they had any questions, Brian kept his hand down, though another girl raised her hand and mentioned something about a vision problem, and asking if there were any Pokémon that could help her with it. This is going to be an interesting year, he thought, thinking over some of the things he'd talked about with Niara, and looking forward to making more new friends, not just for himself, but for Grace, as well.
Hakeem wanted for any questions from the young minds of the room. So far, the room was silent aside from the few murmurs until he saw a little hand go up. She seemed shy as she almost squeaked out her statement before asking the question. Correction.... she was nervous as she asked about a pokemon that could help her. His posture softened as she mentioned her vision problem.
"There are plenty of pokemon that can help you with your situation. I have seen some pokemon being trained to be guides and therapy pokemon. Much like how a police officer will train a pokemon to work with raids and cases.."
He smiled, partly wondering she could even see it. He gave the poke-egg to Big Mama as he walked to the girl, kneeling down and taking the other hand that wasn't holding onto the headmaster. "Don't worry about your sight. I know the feeling. My hearing doesn't behave either and I use my pokemon to help me get through day. In fact..... Fae!"
The Sylveon tilted his head before the pichu was in the arms of the Audino as he made his way to his trainer. The pokemon had an idea of what was going to happen and knew it to be true when Hakeem took his feeler to rub around the girl's wrist.
"Fae here helps when I go out into the town or when I don't hear something but he does. So... how about for today..." Hakeem said to both Mokihana and Antonio. "Fae helps you walk around. He knows the grounds pretty while so consider his your walking buddy. Does that sound okay?"
He also looked to the headmaster, making sure to get approval. He trusted Fae to look after the girl and she didn't have to bring him back once she reached her dorms as Fae already knew how to get back to the daycare.
Antonio glanced at Hana as she had been grabbing his jacket to help guide her. He tried to not move as dynamically as he normally did so that she wouldn't have too much a hard time. He was tall and also very active so his movements were something odd and he could tell that Hana had almost tripped a couple of times. Antonio wondered if holding her hand would be easier to help her navigate or maybe she could ride on his shoulder. Hana had been mostly quiet and didn't voice that she needed assistance so Antonio let her be for now. He looked back at the group of students and yet he couldn't find everyone present which naturally concerned him. He crossed his arms already guessing at what might have happened, but at the same time he was surprised that something like this could be planned on the second day of the new academy year. His thoughts were temporarily pushed to the side when Hakeem arrived and introduced himself. The DayCare assistant was a man that could rival him in the tall department which was conforting for him since there were not a lot of people as tall as him. Tall guy problems.
Hakeem introduced himself and then introduced his Pokemon to the new students. Antonio just stood back and watched along with the students as Hakeem explained his role in the academy. He was friendly in his greeting and it seemed that his introduction had even impressed Hana since she raised her hand to ask a question. Antonio was surprised, but happy that Hana showed courage by voicing her question especially around so many students. Hakeem's respond was probably the best for her as he even lend her his Sylveon to use as an aid for her. Antonio noticed Hakeem staring at him for approval and naturally he nodded to say that it was fine. There shouldn't be any harm in allowing Sylveon to accompany Hana on their orientation especially if it would make her feel more comfortable.
Antonio stared at the clock that was hanging on the wall and noticed the time; they had to move to the next location. "Thank you, Mr. Miles for showing us the DayCare. I'm sure you'll see a lot of our new and returning students here. The DayCare is available for all our students, you're welcome to come in and watch the Pokemon interact in this environment. Who know you might catch the birth of a new Pokemon." Antonio chuckled. With that their time in the DayCare has finished and now they would be moving on to the next location: The Nurse's Office.
