She listened to Brian as he briefly explained his history with raising pokemon. She appreciated he kept his answer short and simple. She didn't expect him to introduce himself, though. "I'm Hailey. hang out after this orientation thing?" She welcomed his response before Hakeem appeared and explained his job and how he gets around his shortcomings. She actually liked he was willing to give help to another student who needed help. She figured she'd make it a point to come and visit the daycare every now and then, at least to see the guy and learn a little more from him.
Of course, the headmaster had to move things along. Hailey sighed before she followed the headmaster out, staying near Brian now that they've introduced themselves. She figured they could talk a little bit on the way out to the next location

 tab Getting to her dorm yesterday was a huge disappointment to say the least. Why did she have a roommate... If this school really was as well funded by the 'richest in all regions' as her guardians explained to her, then it should at least have the resources and space to have individual rooms, right? And it wasn't like she didn't like her roommate or anything like that. How could she when she knew jack about her. Her roommate could've been the nicest person at the school and Mishe couldn't care less; she didn't come here to make friends or even to get to educated, she just wanted a safe place to sleep until she could legally travel on her own. While complete privacy was not an option, she found a silver lining in that the girl she'd be living with didn't bother to engage in any pleasantries, making it a time and breath saver on the redhead's part. Nevertheless her dissatisfaction for this school and its system only grew.
tab Mishe had gotten up at the crack of dawn as per usual to stretch and train her core basics of her martial arts training, leaving her dorm room without a sounds nor even of a goodbye to her roommate. Just because there were no longer any prizes on the line from keeping her health in peak condition didn't mean that it was time to slack slack off. Besides, she found it to be one of, if not the most calming routines in her day. When she was done and discreetly went back to the dorms for a quick shower, the girl headed to the meetup location for orientation.
tab Following the map on her GEAR, which seemed to magically appear as an app on the main screen after she complained how useful it could be(she was starting to think that the school might be listening on their students and this definitely made her think even less of the school), Mishe and her team had made it without any hassle to speak of. As she waited on a bench at a respectable distance from groups of people, mainly focusing her attention on a new game on her smartphone, Roo and Méta walked around to kill time. "Golett!" A sudden cry coming from Roo brought her out of it and the next thing she saw was that her Golett had a Torchic on their head. The tiny bird Pokemon was cute and her team seemed to be having fun with it, so she allowed them to continue playing and went back to her game. Soon after the thought came to mind did its trainer appear. From the looks of his attire and the words he spoke, he seemed to have had lost the little one. As he tried to pry his Pokemon away, the fire type seemed to run away. Well, as long as he didn't bother her she wouldn't care about his presence.
tab Why did things never go her her way? As soon as four-eyes had the gall to call her Red, that was all she saw. That name brought about some unsavory violent memories she'd rather forget from her last school. As if on reflex from those days, the girl swiftly went for the boy's collar to throw him over her shoulder. As soon as she had a grip on his collar, she felt a tug from both of her knee-socks prompting her to look back and snap out of it, stopping the start of the flipping process. Luckily her Pokemon brought her back to her senses; it'd really be problematic to get expelled on the second day since her arrival, especially since she had nowhere else to go. Her hand still on his collar, she opted to fix it straight instead. "Not Red. Mishe. Don't forget it..." Or else she'd have to make him never forget. It was probably going to be awkward between them now, especially since he didn't seem to have the intention of wanting to separate himself from her and her team given his Torchic's adamant want to stay with Rouille. But again, if he didn't bother her, then she wouldn't him.
tab When all was said and done the person who was supposed to guide the orientation had finally decided to arrive. And surprise surprise it was the gaudily dressed, over the top Headmaster! An audible sigh of disappointment and annoyance escaped Mishe's lips. Didn't this man have more 'headmastery' stuff to do, like run the school? Then again, with the way he conducted himself yesterday and the school system's lack of organisation, it shouldn't have been a surprise at all. He made quick work of wasting time again by distributing a brochure that could've easily been sent to the first years' GEAR instead. What really caught her attention was the mention of finally receiving the trainer items the students were promised. Honestly if it weren't for that piece of information, she would've skipped the whole thing in a heartbeat, but she knew that she needed to get anything she could to properly take care of Roo and Méta now that they were on their own. With these thoughts in mind, she left with the group to start of this torturous tour of an orientation.
⬣⬡──AT THE DAYCARE──⬡⬣
tab The first place on the long list was a place she had already been to yesterday: the daycare. 'Yup, still looks the same since yesterday, next please...' The headmaster then mentioned something about how the island was introduced to non-native Pokemon recently, reminding her slightly of the human created introduction of the still invasive species that is Yungoos which almost devastated Alola's Pokemon population and only hoped that this island wouldn't crumble down, not while she was here anyway.
tab As the Daycare Assistant arrived seemingly looking busy with an egg in hand and a Pichu in another, the first years began to quieted down to listen to his introduction. It was interesting to find out this is where new, Pokemonless students come to pick up their Pokemon, kind of. After the Q&A ending something about a student wanting a support Pokemon and getting offered one for the day(she had already lost interest at this point and watched her Pokemon play to make sure they wouldn't hurt themselves), the daycare tour seemed done? It would have been nice to know the essential part of it all in how the daycare system worked, like registry, how they go about taking care of the Pokemon they take care of and what-not, but oh well. It wasn't like she was going to trust them with Rouille, Méta or any of her future Pokemon, so it didn't matter to her anyway. If she really wanted to know, she would've asked. Already disappointed with the lack of upfront important information from the first stop, she wasn't expecting much for the rest of the locations. Regardless the girl would continue, all for the sake of those darn Pokemon items they keep withholding from her. Looks like day two wasn't going to be her day either...

Brian could see the surprise in Hailey's eyes when he introduced himself, and he smiled as she did the same. When she asked if he wanted to hang out after the orientation, he nodded. "Sure, I'd like that," he said. "It'll be a chance for me and Grace to make some new friends, and it'll be good for Grace to be around Pokemon she's not as familiar with." He watched the interaction between Hakeem and Mokihana, and he was pleasantly surprised when Hakeem offered his own Sylveon to the girl for the day. A few moments later, Antonio said that the daycare was open to all the students, and that they were welcome to come and watch the Pokemon interact with the island environment. Brian chuckled a bit when the headmaster mentioned possibly catching the birth of a new Pokemon, thinking back to the day Grace had hatched. Before too much longer, they were moving again, this time, heading toward the Nurse's office. Brian walked with Hailey in case she wanted to talk while they walked.

Yeesh. More silent lecturing from her pokemon over taking care of herself. She seriously didn't want to overexert herself last year. She tried to be careful but when she's that determined to beat her old mile record, she's gonna push herself. Besides, she though her heart could handle it. But as they keep silently telling her, she's lucky to be alive. Even the doctors never shut up about it. So naturally, she was glad to be back here, but her pokemon won't stop hovering over her now. So when she made the trip to the daycare to deliver her daily exercise recommendations for young pokemon by type, she had to deal with her chesnaught staying less than a couple feet behind her the entire time. Because he knew she'd try to take off to do her own thing again if he didn't.
She entered the daycare center with the folder of papers under her arm. "Hey there. I'm here with the exercise suggestions." Now she wasn't really looking at the counter and was instead watching the chesnaught behind her who just smirked smugly at his trainer. She sighed in annoyance, not noticing if anyone was at the desk or not.
