Bones. He needed more bones. Moving around some dead leaves and logs he was hoping to come across a dead carcass or even some old bones from something that wasn't freshly dead. Ever since he was little he had this notion to put plants in bones and watch them blossom into different, creative things. He had dubbed them boneblossoms after his heritage and even as an adult he still continued with the practice. The large male folded his wings tightly against his body and shuffled a few more things around with his nose as he tried to scent out some old flesh perhaps but was coming up with nothing. Giving a sigh the male flicked his fluffy tail behind him and began to look in other places that might turn up some nice rewards for his efforts.

He'd eventually hear the click of small hooves and something dragging along in the underbrush. She was exploring, seeing if anything around might strike her fancy - bugs, butterflies, dead things or even bones. There hadn't been much so far, just dead squirrels, rabbits and some birds. Likely foxes looking for a meal since there hadn't been much left. After some poking she'd left those alone and moved on. She was off in her own little world, humming to herself. She was more than a little bit of a mess, her mane and tail were full of twigs and leaves but she hadn't even noticed.
"La la La la la la..."
A butterfly fluttered out of the hollow of a tree and caught her eye - she started to follow it, unknowingly bringing her his direction. Maybe she could get it to land on her and stay in her hair for a while?

His sniffing and shuffling of the earth was disrupted by the melodic 'La la La la la la...' that floated through the air to his nimble ears. Twisting and turning the flicked slightly and he lifted his thick neck to peer around the lightly forested area. At first he didn't see anyone, but it wasn't long before the flutter of wings brought a small butterfly and shortly there after it, a smaller equine. At first he thought it was a filly, then realized that it was indeed a mare.

"I'm hoping it will be my friend..." She hadn't quite registered who was speaking to her except that it wasn't the butterfly. Said butterfly did turn back and ended up running into her curls - she stayed still until it settled, wings moving moving in a very slow flutter. "Ah!"
Now she turned her attention to him...and he was very very tall, at least compared to her. Big paws and each wing alone bigger than she was. But he was bright and colorful like the butterfly! "Maybe you'll be my friend too?"
