Role Play Rules

[Professor Maple of Citra]

- Please follow the Gaia Terms of Service. Anything that would get you banned from Gaia isn't allowed here.

- This guild is Semi-lit. All we ask for is that you get two paragraphs or 18 sentences. Third person only. Any breaching of this will result in a warning initially. If it is broken consistently, then it will result in a strike.

- The posting rules are as follows:


When interacting with others, you will have 10 days to respond from the time it becomes your turn.

Do NOT skip posting order unless it is agreed upon with the group.

If you fail to meet a deadline, you will receive a warning the first time. You will be given five days to respond and if you do not, you will receive a strike. Any other time after the first warning, if the deadline isn't met, you will receive a strike.

We understand life happens and you may need extra time, we only ask that you are courteous and let us know when you need and extension or Hiatus. Communication is key.

Characters that are alone will have no posting date; however, failing to post any characters for 60 days will result in being removed from the guild.

As long as you have a strike, you are not allowed to make any additional characters.

After you receive three strikes, you will be required to retire one of your characters. If you go 90 days without receiving a strike, you will be absolved of all strikes you currently have.


- There is no actual character limit , but just do not overload yourself too much. We don't want someone who makes so many characters that they actually forget about a few of them in the process.

- Please use layouts. They look nicer. If you are willing to pester an admin about helping, EriTanaka may be able to help, depending on their availability.

- This account is one accessible by all the vice captains of the Role play. Please be do remember that you can never be sure which one you'll get.

- It is required that you sign the rules, showing that you understand and agree with the rules in place. If you do not sign and begin posting anyway, you will be removed. To sign it, you need to put your username down, the date, your favorite Pokemon, and one of Gaia's emotes.

- None of the canon characters within the anime exist within this Role Play, but that doesn't make the games fully canon either. This Role Play takes place in its own timeline. The regions of the games do exist however, but there are plans for there to be other regions that are not addressed normally.

- New In our OoC, we wish to maintain a friendly and welcoming environment (Discord or in the Guild). We are trying to maintain a zero tolerance for drama between handlers. If anyone says or does something that makes you uncomfortable, please DM an admin rather than engaging the topic in the OOC. Any drama, uncomfortable/inappropriate subject matter, or incidents in the OoC is a bannable offense.

- Pokemon Encounters are to be produced on request in your Group's channel on the discord server. You are welcome to have your character stay around routes, but a character only can do three encounters a day. You are able to request a specific Pokemon available in that area, but by doing so, you are unable to encounter any more wild Pokemon for the day.

- Much like Wild Pokemon Encounter, there are NPC trainers that can be generated for your character to combat against. Unlike the games, it is optional and you must request these(Once again, in your group's channel). When requested, a team will be randomized for them and you, as the handler can either roleplay the fight out or briefly glance over it in your posts. The outcome will be determined with the help of the admin that generated the encounter.

- During Player Vs Player battles, it is recommended to discuss with the player how things could play out with each other. If you cannot agree on it, then leave it up to chance and find some method that is a bit random. Rolling dice, coin flips, however you feel suffices. If you are not content with the results, blame the luck of the dice/coin/whatever you used. Either way, a link for a thread you can do that in will be right here.

- Please keep track of each Pokemon's win and loss record. These can be factored into the likelihood of a Pokemon winning battles against NPCs, Wild Pokemon, or even when discussing things with another player. If it helps understanding this, think of every one-two wins as a level up.

- When deciding the moves for your character's Pokemon, consider their level of experience, how they were obtained, and what-not. If a Pokemon was bred for the character, one or two egg moves is alright. However, if the Pokemon was caught on the first route, it shouldn't have anything like that unless it was an "event". The same applies to abilities. Seldom will a wild Pokemon have its hidden ability.

- During the run of the Role Play, there will be several chances to encounter special Pokemon. They all would have a high chance of knowing Egg moves, having hidden abilities, or even being shiny. These Pokemon can be encountered or obtained by doing various things involving NPC characters off to the side. Think of them as side quests that don't hurt to do when they pop up...usually.

-As it stands, Mega Evolution, Z-Moves, and Dynamax are not present within the RP and will not be for some time. We will announce when it will matter.
