As Sumire seemed to inwardly gush over the appearance of not one, but two cats, Fudoharu rolled his eyes. Of course tea wasn't meant for cats. But, he knew Teki. That tiny little lion didn't have any grasp of the concept that people had personal space, and he often took it upon himself to pull the dastardly little kitten's face from his family's cups of tea. For some reason, Teki enjoyed the earthy taste of the herbal drink. Perhaps it was one of the many quirks that came from defying the natural laws as that cat often did. For starters, no full grown lion should ever be that small. Secondly, the colors of the cat were all wrong, a red tint to the fur over his body and a mane orange enough to look like pure flames if the wind blew through it. As if Teki picked up on some unspoken wavelength from Fudoharu, it shot a wicked glance in the pink-haired Enjo's direction before rudely pouncing onto the table and sitting down in front of Sumire.

Fudoharu paid him no mind, as he was straining his ears to listen in on the Hogosha's conversation. The eldest of the two, who easily could be confused for someone much younger than most in this room if they were not aware of the strange aging facets of the Hogosha's kekkei genkai, wasn't someone that the Enjo had laid eyes on, but the stories of the elder maintaining his purity through youth was something he had heard plenty of. The two Hogosha openly spoke of something that even the much denser Fudoharu could feel in his core. Changes were coming. It was something on the wind. The Enjo were in tune with the forces of nature, and even the youngest among his clan could feel the tension looming on the horizon. Fudoharu did his best to ignore that gnawing feeling, but hearing it out loud set him slightly on edge.

The grace and dignity of Ranmaru, who's name Fudoharu only picked up from Seizo's introduction of the group, further frayed Haru's nerves. He was a retainer of the Hogosha clan, and his purpose was to serve Tatsuko. As another member of the Raiu clan made his entrance, Fudoharu gave a slight nod rather than a bow in return. Ishikura was his name, but the way that he blushed at seeing Fudoharu made his skin crawl. The pink haired teen sighed loudly and made his way towards the table, sitting across from Sumire cross legged. His emerald eyes scanned her for a second, shooting Teki a much more annoyed glance before he spoke. "Alright Princess, since we're all introducing ourselves.." he began, taking his hat off and flinging it over the lion's form. It shoot the fabric free enough to hiss in Fudoharu's direction and leaped onto Sumire's shoulders, nestling down and making himself comfortable.

"Names Fudoharu, I'm supposed to be your guard." His ears perked up after he finished introducing himself, wondering if anyone else knew who he was. He had a reputation among the Enjo for being in trouble with his father and the rest of their internal disciplinary force, but he was curious whether the reputation spread to the rest of the clans. After all, he was sure that his father often kept things quiet to avoid making a scene. The various forest fires that accidentally started due to Fudoharu's carelessness, for example. A small smirk played on the boys lips at the memories. "That means stay out of danger. I don't want extra work to do, okay?" Rude. Unbecoming of someone with his task, but if he cared about formality he would have bowed before sitting down.

Well this was certainly an interesting crowd. If it wasn't so rigid and formal she would even actually probably enjoy their company. Yet there they were full of pomp and swagger, yet she knew full well not a single one of them had seen combat. Yet the approach of the lion forced her attention to it. After all it was in fact a mini lion cub, which even she found adorable. Yet her attention was pulled from it, once she had deigned it not a threat, by the offering of tea from the Mahofu girl. Interesting. Why would she offer tea to a cat? Was she simply that kind as to care for all living things? A mahofu, caring about the living? Hardly. The cat would nod of all things to Sumire upon receipt of the cup and respond to her compliment with a meow.

Yet before she could enjoy the cup she knew full well she would have to change back. But not before an ounce of fun. The cat would face Sumire and SPEAK,"Thank you." Before its body was engulfed in faint purple light. Its form twisting and shifting, growing and changing into the proper young woman that Sei was. Bringing both her hands up she brushed her long jet hair from her shoulders to rest upon her back. Pulling down her mask she took a seat,"You all certainly are an interesting bunch of nobility." She had performed various works for the nobility of the area before. Particularly the Mahofu with their love of espionage and assassination. She hated the feeling they always gave her but they paid the best by far for her services.

Though her favorite family to work for were without question the Enju. Having served as recon and infiltration for their family on more than a dozen occasions. Yet her reputation and name were unknowns. A result of very hard efforts to keep it that way. Taking her seat she picked up the cup that was poured for her and continued,"My name is Hitori, Seishiro. I will be the one responsible for you all during this mission. I look forward to seeing what all you young heirs can do." That was really all she had been told about her mission, go to the wall, collect a report, and dont let a bunch of noble heirs get a single scratch on their pretty heads.

Quote:
The doors opened so that got the Mahofu's attention as she turned to see who it was. She had met him once or twice, but it wasn't much. Usually, when other clans visit the Mahofu compound, they had the tendency to never stay long. Could be that her compound was known to be unnerving to some. "You as well, Raiu-chan." For a moment, she had thought that Ishikura was unwell when she saw the red tint crept onto his cheeks and was going to comment but decided against it. It was none of her business. Even as he coughed, she turned her head away from him and let in a soft inhale as well exhale. She was not going to fail her father. A soft and warm smile crept onto her face as the little lion had seemingly to pounce onto the table and sat down in front of her. "Hi there." her voice was soft and smooth, she reached out to pet the lion if he would let her. Made sure to scratch his mane because many cats from what she noticed, their mane was rather itchy cause it was sometimes hard for them to get their claws in that deep.

Her hand quickly pulled away when a pink-haired male had sat down across from her. He was a bit unorthodox by the way he sat down but it was none of her business. Her skin crawled slightly when he called her a princess. She hated that name but knew better. Her lip curled into a slight frown when he seemed to pick on the lion as it hissed at him and got onto her shoulders. Sumire doesn't mind, cats were cats. If you were to put him down, they would just crawl on right back up. "Would you like some tea?" Sumire asked softly as she picked up the teapot delicately and started to pour some tea. He introduced himself and then-

CLANG.

Sumire had dropped the teapot, the hard metal clanged to the table as the hot tea poured over onto the table, the noise so loud that it echoed throughout the entire room. Her soft purple eyes immediately flared into anger and shock. Her pupils even constricted, dimming the room to her for a moment. Her cheeks were hot as the scolding tea. It all lasted for only a few seconds as she scrambled to pick up the hot metal teapot, ignored the slight burn of her hands as she placed it back onto the mat that was made for the hot teapots. "I.. I'm sorry,"she mumbled softly to possibly fallen ears. Sumire was trying desperately to clear her mind as quickly as possible as she started to clean up, ignoring the slight annoying burn on her hands.

Did her father really think of her weak? He constantly reminded her, every single second of her life that she was worthless. Weak. Shouldn't be living. Lately, Sumire had thought she was improving but to go far as hiring a bodyguard... it was a low blow to her. But she knew better than to go against her father as she had her lesson learned when she ran away. Ignored the world for a moment, she focused on cleaning the mess she had made and helped the two servants that had arrived to help her clean up as she then pulled herself back and gently removing the lion from her shoulders and onto the floor, not wanting to be touched right now. Her eyes were back to normal but to a good reader, she would seem sad and confused. Her cheeks were slowly fading back into her pale complexion.

As she was working to lower her heart rate, she was greeted by another surprise. The black cat had spoken to her. Confused, her brows furrowed as she looked around. That cat talked? That can't be. There had to be a voice from somewhere else. At the moment the purple light glowed around the light, Sumire pushed herself back to stand on the balls of her feet, her knees barely touching the floor as her right hand was on the floor in front of her and her left was at her side, ready to leap at a moment's notice. Where there was a cat, was now a woman with a massive bow on her head and the same voice she had heard earlier. Confused, Sumire went ahead and stood up, taking a step or two away from the woman. The name that she had introduced herself with, that was the one that they were waiting for. To lead the group. Her body relaxes slightly but her muscles were still tense. Her hands were bothering her so she quickly look at it to judge. It was simply first-degree burns, maybe a blister here or there. Ignoring it, she placed her hands back at her side.
