Maya was absolutely excited. She was about to go on her very first date to an actual dance! It was like... prom, that's what her mum had called it. She'd gotten some money from her parents, then used it to buy a pretty dress in Hogsmeade. She paired her new
dress with little kitten heels, then got her hair tied up in fancy braids at the salon. A small, twinkly tiara sat in her hair, something she enjoyed watching in the mirror. The girl even did a bit of makeup, which was about all her skill allowed for.
When it came time for the dance to begin, Maya headed down to the common room, where she met Jass in a cute little suit. Why was her heart full of moths?! The duo walked down to the Great Hall, where the party was just getting started. She followed Jass to the flower table, looking at all the pretty flowers. He offered to buy her a flower, but she couldn't decide.
"They're all so pretty! I just don't know what to pick!" The brunette looked at them, finally selecting a pretty red rose.
"I like this one. And there's a little rosebud to match! We could pin it to your jacket... thingy. Lapel, I think" She grinned, looking over at Jass.
