Robin, Cyrille, and Firelizards

"Sp we need to start getting meat daily." Cyrille remarked to her sister, hand held outstretched with Adventure's undesired bits. Robin nodded as Majesty sized up Glory before creeping closer, yjr p;der woman now holding fewer meat cubes.

"Worth it, though." Robin ad,itted. Cyrille noddded.

"Rhink they like stew cubes?" She asked. Robin nodded.

"Seems one did.|"

Cyrille considered, before grabbing one, wrapping it in a meat strip before offering it back.

"Double-meats."

"Sis, you are a vcornnball."

Amila, Seistreth, and firelizards

Amila smiled as L'yan attracted the handsome brown, Brass still on her arm sizing up everything as he ate. She was glad he drew a friend, and smiled, offering a peice of meat.

"Shoulsn't let the baby go hungry..."

Brass hissed, eying her until a oparticularly delicious meatybit found him in ger grip and he cheeped, devouring it. He was watching you, lady! He was on to your business!

Lifa and Nasysath

Lifa hummed. The rider shifted, and looked to her green.

Want to look at the stragglers? Lifa questioned. Naysath lit up, and nodded before her rider approached the basket slowly, Naysath trotting after and leaning in to a respectful distance, taking a sniff before a contenterd rumble came from the dragon, and finally Lifa afforded a thin smile

The babies are so cute![p/color] Naydsyj hsdprf, snf Lifa offered a tight chuckle as the green admired the firelizards. It was a pity Naysath would never clutch. The green was such a loving girl -- though not as near as Seistreth seemed, and Lifa made a face remembering the green during her clutch. So... Fluffy.

Saris
The little blue looked at her and that was the approval she needed. Coaxing Vell to her shoulder to free her other hand, sorry friend but Saris needed it for her brother. Gently scoping up the blue, careful to keep her fingers only under his belly to avoid the scratches on his back. Now safely nestled in the crook of her arm, she looked back to the basket. Those firelizards left seemed split into 2 groups; those who were avoiding the fight and those who were spectating. The candidate was worried for the last remaining egg that had stopped moving. Was it okay? Was it hiding or in trouble?

Forcing the tears to stop, Saris tried to compose herself. "Excuse me?" Her voice was small, barely more then a whisper, but she tried talking to #10 even though she wasn't sure if it would work. She had cared for her poor blue, so maybe she would understand her concern. "Could you please check on the last egg? I'm worried that it's not moving, thank you."

Dratani
Finally picking up on Aria's mood, the harper didn't know if she should hold her back for safety or release her to break up the fight. If she was grown and not newly hatched it wouldn't be an issue, but ultimately decided to withhold her irritated firelizard. There were other adult firelizards around, let them sort it out. Half turning away from the basket to block the line of sight, but Waltz and his meal was left exposed. Many of those remaining had hungry thoughts, did they want to share his?

Asparagoth couldn't help but notice when the aggressive green decided to attack yet another hatchling, a blue this time "why are you so angry little cousin?" he asked, jsut as another green hatched, exploding in claws and teeth... oh no, no. "please don't" he said to them softly, his paws curling protectively around his little green while sending soothing thoughts to the gold and the injured blue "Oh babies, are you ok?"" he said, not wanting to influence them but wanting to protect them, thoughts of them curled in his protective paws, leaking out, he couldn't help it, they'd been hurt, two greens were still fighting, he wanted to keep them safe.

Kindra eyed her dragon, she'd seen hatchling dragons do worse sadly, she felt for her white though, he really didn't like seeing anyone hurt. "It'll be ok 'goth sweetie, they'll get over it i'm sure and find someone to Impress to, or go wild, it'll be alright" she thought to him, though if he was listening to her or not was another matter entirely She turned her attention back to the clutch, all the while the egg in her lap wriggled and cracks grew bigger in it's shell.

Bekah watched the greens fight, flinching at the aggression. While she was sure they'd be ok, it still looked and sounded horrible. Beeper had heard the whistle reply to his beep and had looked at the blue, silly thing, no one abandoned anyone, there were many humans here, he beeped again at the blue, even as the other had finally gotten Bekah's attention, "Oh you silly thing" she chuckled, clucking her tongue at him to draw him nearer, of course she would feed him, and moved closer to do just that, letting him decide for himself if he wanted to climb into her lap or not. "c'mon Blue, i'll stay and feed you"

K'kar just kept feeding his blue, letting the little one eat his fill, even as he watched the rest of the clutch with mild interest, not expecting anymore babies to come towards him but keeping enough meat to the side

K'kaw was so busy feeding his little green and watching the drama unfold over by the fighting greens, as it was, he didn't notice the little blue until little Lovely, the green he was already feeding, chirruped at him to get his attention "oh!... oh hey there ... oh you poor thing, it's ok" he said soothingly, the way the poor thing was trying to vanish into the sand beneath him broke k'kaw's heart and he scooped him up and held him close "let's get you fed shall we?" he cuddled the little one, "What shall we call you then huh? you poor little thing"

The fight raged on and #10 watched as her brother impressed and found someone to take care of him. Her swirling green eyes turned as someone spoke to her. Slowly the little firelizard blinked at the request. #2? They were fine, they'd been moving a moment ago, she was sure they were just staying out of the way of their sister's squabble. Still if it made the girl less teary then it wouldn't cause #10 any stress to check. Turning away the gold trotted forward and jumped back up into the basket. Keeping one eye on the still tumbling ball of green, she carefully made her way over the last remaining egg. Leaning forward she carefully touched the gray-purple egg with her nose, peeping softly. A quiet scratching was the answer that she received. Lifting her head she hummed happily. They were doing just fine.

A steady gnawing had begun in her stomach and the firelizard was beginning to find it hard to ignore. The last egg was fine, she had checked like she'd been asked. The others could look after themselves, that wasn't her job after all. Even though she could feel thoughts from people that it was. That she should be looking after all the others the moment she hatched. Honestly, she didn't like the idea. Maybe she wanted to be looked after? Looking around #10 tried to find where was best to go. There were a lot of firelizards here. Little ones being fed, and older ones keeping watch over everything that was passing below their perches. She didn't fancy going to them. There were dragons, they had firelizards sat on them, between their claws, but she wasn't looking for that either. Maybe she should have hatched earlier to get first pick.

Finally the little firelizard managed to find someone that didn't already have a fair all over them. Trotting forward the gold walked right up to Verria. She could sense the longing in her. Not for the colour of her hide, but for companionship. Didn't they both deserve companionship? #10 would happily give her that companionship if Verria would give it to her?

Scilla Gold - Confident, Forgetful, Adaptable

The basket now held two small, fighting, greens; a slowly cracking egg, and a single green stood on the handle of the basket. The fight was showing little to no sign of slowing down, any thoughts directed at them completely ignored. For the most part both green's still looked in good shape, only a few scrapes to show of their clash, although likely both would be sore once the adrenaline wore off. #29 was refusing to pay them any attention at all. She had her own situation to deal with.

The cracks on the dull surface of #2 grew, until the last egg finally fell open. A brown firelizard carefully uncurled, standing gracefully. There, that hadn't been so bad. A little delay, but all in all it had worked out the way he wanted. Drawing himself up the brown stepped away from his egg, picking his way through the shard of the clutch until he found a clear space of sand. Carefully tucking in his wings the brown looked up at the gathered crowd. It was quiet a choice that he had access to, and that was certainly preferable. So caught up in his examinations was #2 he didn't notice the tangle of green barrelling towards him.

User Image

The two fighting greens collided with #2, but the brown didn't move at all. He was as firmly planted as a tree. The two broke apart upon their collision, but were instantly back on their feet. Hissing and snarling the green's stared at each other for a few heartbeats, before lunging. #2, however, was having none of that. With a bark of his own the brown struck #8 with his forepaw, knocking her down, before quickly shifting to kick #24 with his hindlegs, sending the other green flying to land in a heap. That was enough. He glared at both greens with whirling red eyes. He had no patience for their squabbling. Both looked up at the larger and sturdier brown. #8 and #24 could tell that taking him on wasn't a good idea by any means. Looking at each other it was clear that there was no love lost between the two sisters. Still, they couldn't resume their clash with #2 stood firmly in the middle.

Saris
It seemed her words had been understood, the gold checking on the last egg which by her reaction it seemed fine. It was a good thing that just after she picked someone for herself, another candidate if she remembered the face. Saris kept to herself so she didn't have any friends or know her peers well.

Just a few greens left and the last egg that finally decided to break its shell, revealing a handsome brown. Not just handsome, he broke up the fight of the greens! Surprising since the instigator had been willing to take on a gold but not a brown, maybe she was finally getting tired?

Dratani
Watlz warbled his approval of the last hatchlings actions, the brown seemed very sensible indeed to break up the fight everyone wanted to stop but no one had acted. Aria hissed that she had missed it all, how could Dratani do that to her!? At least now that the harper turned back to look she could see again, who whistled her approval that the green had been put in her place. Even better, it was a fine male to do it.

"You're a bit young to be flirting and recruiting to your fair, don't you think?" Dratani chided her two, not that she wouldn't mind a addition to her little group. Sure it would be some work, but they could be her inspiration and it was almost addictive this hatching business.

Oregano's Fair

At first they weren't certain it would work. The green had looked away from them and maybe they weren't good enough. Gren and Gally both crooned again as the green looked away from them, but Blackcurrant was far more confident, he could see that she was still looking at them. They still had a chance so long as the green was still paying attention. He didn't fancy dealing with Oregano if they messed it up anyway. The trio continued to show their affection to the green. If she joined their family then they would love her every day. There would always be someone to adore her.

That seemed to win her over and Gally trilled happily as she took the scrap of meat from him. The blue leaned forward to nuzzle at the young green, happy to have a new member in their fair. Once the young green had eaten all the meat they had brought with them Gren began to bounce back toward the gathering of firelizards, cheeping happily. Blackcurrant and Gally walked slowly back with Muscari Green, who only now seemed to be realising the size of the fair she joined. Durian rushed forward to chitter and nuzzle at her new sister, while Goose rumbled his approval. Acerola tentatively crept up, peeping softly. Muscari looked at the small blue (although he was far larger than her) and crooned softly. Oregano made her way through the tangle of chromatic flits with a fish in her jaws, humming a welcome as she placed the fish before their newest member.

In continued that way for some time. The fair keeping to themselves, nuzzling, crooning, and loving their newest little sister. Muscari was allowed to eat her fill from the assorted food the fair had gathered. Soon the little green was stuffed, yawning loudly. A small pile started to form. Goose, Gren, Gally and Acerola all curled around Muscari as she nodded off. Full and happy surrounded by her new family.

That left only Oregano, Blackcurrant, Durian and Strawberry to watch the hatching, although they still stayed near the sleepy pile of firelizards to protect them. Oregano was thrilled with the newest member of their family, she was confident in herself, yet showed care when dealing with members like Acerola. The green was pleased, she had chosen well which firelizard to send her fair towards. There had been a lot of eggs, more than Oregano was really capable of counting. Now all the eggs were gone and four hatchlings remained.

Oregano carefully looked over them. Any would make fine additions to her fair. The brown would be strong, but her fair was already heavy with males, and his reaction to his sister's squabbles made her wonder how he would manage her her fair. The green that perched on the side of the basket was picky, but hadn't shown much other than that. Still there was something to be said for determination. Either of the fighting greens would be a welcome addition. A wild fair needed that kind of spirit and, so long as they didn't turn it on the rest of the fair, Oregano was willing to work with it.

Still what was the best way to approach. Somehow she doubted that either #8 or #24 would appreciate a gentle approach. That meant Durian was out. Blackcurrant was more likely to irritate them than anything else. The green wondered if they would view her as a challenge. That left... Strawberry. Oregano turned her head to look at the surly blue. He'd turned up, so that was a plus, but he was hardly a welcoming presence. Still it was worth a shot. Cheeping, the green nudged the cantankerous blue towards the basket.

Strawberry for his part looked insulted. Why should he have to go? The brown looked like a jerk, that green looked full of herself, and the other two were savage. Why did Oregano want any of them? The look he received clearly stated there would be no argument. Giving a dramatic huff the tiny blue skulked towards the basket. Rising up on his hind legs he looked over the side and cheeped harshly. Oi. Yeah, you, the greens getting beat. The brown looked like a jerk. Come live with them instead. Turning his head he looked at Oregano. Did she mean win them over like that?

The green seemed to sigh. Honestly, what had she expected? Turning back to the pile of food they had left she nosed through it. The picky green had shown she didn't like meat scraps, so those were out. Somehow Oregano doubted that she would appreciate the remnants of the meatroll they had. Muscari had eaten some of the fish, but there was still some left. Oregano peeped and Durian obediently picked up the fish in her jaws. The eldest green carefully picked up the spiderclaw. Muscari hadn't shown any interest in the shellfish, so it was still whole. Maybe this would be to the young green's liking.

Leaving Blackcurrant to watch the sleeping pile of their fair, Oregano trotted forward, Durian at her side. The pair stopped on the sand under #29, whistling up at her. Would she like what they offered? They knew how to find lots and lots of different foods for her. The fair could hunt for her until she was big enough to pick all the best foods for herself. They'd help her find whatever it was she wanted. For now they had a variety of foods they could offer her.

Drawing himself up #2 seemed dismissive of the two greens that he had put to the ground. If they hadn't wanted to get knocked over then they should have watched where they were going. The brown gave a disdainful sniff, looking away from them both and back out at his options. He paid no attention whatsoever to the adult blue that appeared. Another ruffian that he had no interest in at all. #2 intended to keep a level-head in this situation, this wasn't the kind of decision to be made rashly after all.

A firelizard that was not keeping a level head however, was #24. Her irritation at #8 was completely forgotten when faced with this new source of ire. The brown had only just hatched and yet he looked down on her. Looked down on everyone. She spared the adult firelizard a glance, but nothing more. He was right, #2 was a jerk, and #24 intended to fix that. Rising to her feet the green immediately lunged forward at the larger brown. Maybe it was her position or the way she radiated her anger, but he easily saw her coming. With another swipe of his foreclaw the green was knocked down once again.

The clash seemed to kick #8 into gear too and the green rushed forwards. #2 however was not having any of it. The brown whirled on his smaller sister, flaring his wings and causing her to briefly pause. That was all he needed really, twisting around #2 kicked out with both his back feet. This time is was #8 the went flying. The green flew clear out of the basket, hitting the sand and rolling until she came to stop right at K'kar's feet. The green started to rise, but her legs weren't cooperating. Nothing was broken or seriously injured, but her fight with her sister, being knocked down by the brown, and now sent flying were beginning to take a toll on her young body. Lifting her head she looked up at K'kar, eyeing the meat he had kept aside hungrily. #8 didn't expect him to give any to her, she knew what they all thought about her. They certainly thought it loud enough.

Mountain Laurel Green - Aggressive, Adventurous, Disobedient

Back in the basket #24 was not through. #2 might have taken out their sister, but she wasn't backing down to him any time soon. Another stand, another lunge, another defeat. The green was too reckless in her attacks, charging forward at the brown head-on. This time #2 didn't push her away. The brown rose onto his hindlegs and slammed his body weight down onto the green, pinning her to the sand. Hissing her anger, #24 thrashed, but with both his forefeet and his weight pressing down on her the smaller green had no way of wriggling free. #2 was silent as he looked down at the raging green. He would just keep her here until she tired herself out. Twisting her neck #24 sought to snap at the brown's legs, but found him shifting his left foot to her neck, small talons pricking at skin. This behaviour wouldn't do at all.

Someone completely unaffected by this squabble was #29. She had more important things to worry about than her siblings fighting for seemingly no good reason. Namely the growing emptiness in her belly. The green was beginning to question her earlier assertion that she would starve here if need be. Now that hunger was becoming more and more persistent the idea didn't seem so feasible. It seemed downright unpleasant. Unfortunately no better options were presenting themselves, and she wasn't going to go searching amongst feet for choices.

A whistle from below caught her attention and #29 turned narrowed eyes down. Two adult greens stood on the sand below her. They were roughly the same size, both much bigger than her. She spotted the fish in the paler green's mouth first. Hmm, better, but not really what she wanted. Maybe if it really did come down to that or starvation she would consider it. Her gaze then turned to Oregano's offering. What even was that? The green leaned forward and peered at the spiderclaw. It had so many legs, and it looked hard. She eyed the opening in the shell that one of the older firelizards had made. It looked soft in there. Sniffing the air curiously #29 found herself salivating. Oh! Oh! That smelled great. Jumping down the young green ignored the older two as she tore a chunk of flesh from the spiderclaw gulping it down. This was perfect! Several more chunks vanished down her gullet before she looked at the other greens. Did they say she could have more? That they would bring her more? Show her where to find them?

Saris
The aggressive green was finally pushed out and seemed to attach herself to someone, but that bloodlust seemed to have infected her sparing sister. The brown seemed to have it sorted out, almost uncaring they were the last two. Would it be better to have it go wild like two of the other greens did, or bond to someone and hope she learned manners? I guess the green would know what she wanted, if she would calm down enough for the brown to release her so he could make his choice.

Dratani
Waltz and Aria both whistled their encouragement for the brown, if for slightly different reasons. Waltz liked discipline being enforced, while Aria agreed but took enjoyment of the plucky green being put in her place. The Harper worried a little that the green might end up being hurt because she insisted on picking a fight she couldn't win. Putting a hand in their to break them up would be a sure way to have fingers bitten, and as a harper she didn't want to injure her hands.

Okay then! Her firelizards seem to have decided that if their's couldn't do anything then they would help the brown. Gold and bronze flew into the basket, Aria not very graceful with an over bulging belly and having rested too comfortably. Dratani looked on with worry, getting closer to the basket should she need to pull them out regardless of the risk to her hands. Waltz chirped reassuringly to the brown that they was here to help, while Aria stomped up and screamed in the green's face. The fight was three against one, so the she better control herself and pick someone to take her away if she didn't want the consequences.

M'tha and Green Glafateth
Greens were absolutely the best. M'tha cooed to her newest addition as Glafateth hovered overhead eagerly. What should we name her? It must be a good name! We have a little time to pick out a suitable name. We don't have to rush. The rider smiled at her dragon's eagerness.

Candidate Verria
The number was dwindling quickly now. Verria was about ready to give up. None of these firelizards had liked her enough to come to her. The teen hoped she hadn't ruined the nice brown's and his rider's chance at a firelizard. Surely she'd scared them all away. Verria hoped the two fighting would quickly sort their differences out. She hated to see them fight. With so many people here, surely there was enough food to go around.

Her eyes widened as suddenly the only gold from all the eggs walked purposefully in her direction. Could it be? No way. But the gold was walking right at her! "What do I do?" She tensely whispered to the brown or his rider. What should she do?!?!?!

V'lla and Brown Ardnamuth
Ardnamuth was pleased when his protegee became the sole interest of a gold firelizard. Think happy thoughts, welcome her. Feed her if she'll take it from you, which I am thinking she will. V'lla grinned as the girl finally got her wish. "Congrats! Listen to him. Don't loose her." She said encouragingly. It was utterly awesome Aardnamuth had helped her to this point.

V'lla nodded to the new pair, Ardnamuth would help them if they needed it, and turned her attention to the remaining unbonded firelizards. Might there be one there for her? She frowned to see the brown and two greens fighting. It really didn't need to come to that. She was glad to see the picky green get offered food by the wild fair and find it acceptable. Two more impressed, and that left a brown and green. C'mon darlings. Aren't you tired of this fighting? Find a nice person to love you.

Candidate Verria
Didn't they both deserve companionship? #10 would happily give her that companionship if Verria would give it to her?

Feelings washed over Verria. Yes. Yes they deserved companionship. Tears trickled down her cheeks as gently scooped up her beautiful friend. Never again would they be lonely for they would always have each other. Obedient to the gnawing hunger she felt, Verria fed her. After several bites, she looked up to her helpers with a glad smile. "Thank you!"

L'yan and Bronze Washawath
Managed to get one I see. Not a bad little fellow. L'yan nodded and continued to feed the little brown his first meal. His green watched with interest from his shoulder. He nodded thanks Amila when she tried to offer him extra meat for the new brown. "Thanks, but I think I have enough here. Plus it looks like yours rathered you didn't share." He laughed.

Sorry, he has authority issues sweatdrop

Oregano's Fair

Nope. Nu-uh, not while he was around. Giving an angry shriek, which was as close to a roar as the two-foot long creature could manage, Strawberry launched into the basket. He wasn't great with authority at the best of times, Oregano only kept him in check because she raised him. There was no way he was going to let these upstarts act like this. He might only be a blue, but he was still several times the size of even the gold hatchling. Shoving his head in he pushed the gold away from the green, before fixing her with a glare. He wasn't harsh in his push, Oregano would never let him hurt a hatchling, but that didn't mean he didn't stare down the trio. Liked to throw their weight around did they? How about they try it against him.

Almost immediately Oregano was in the basket too. Durian could handle their newest member, but Strawberry always managed to get himself into trouble. The green placed herself firmly next to the blue. It wasn't how she would handle it, but the green always backed up her fair. She added her disapproving growl to Strawberry's irritated sounds. How did three against three sound? Oregano disapproved, but not for the same reason Strawberry did. He didn't like metallics acting like they ran the place, but Oregano didn't appreciate the ganging up. The green was already pinned, these two just came into act superior as far as she was concerned.

Durian looked at their newest member and crooned reassuringly. Don't worry, their leader was just going to go deal with something for a minute. The young green didn't seem to really mind that much. She had food to eat and that was about all she cared about. The spiderclaw was rapidly disappearing down her gullet and her blinks were starting to get slower. Durian nuzzled the little green as she let out a yawn. Still she clung to the shellfish. Cheeping happily Durian scooped the shell up in her jaws, carrying it back to the fair, young green trotting quickly behind. Placing it down carefully the older green positioned it near the pile of sleeping firelizards. There, it would be safe with them, see? Nobody would take it. The young green could finish it once she was awake again.

The young green seemed to consider this, her gaze roaming to the pile of curled up firelizards. Well, it did look comfy there. Her stomach was full now and she was starting to feel sleepy. Noticing the other young green already surrounded by the fair she felt a flair of jealousy. Without much more thought the green began to climb the pile, not bothered by the occasional grunt her steps caused. Wriggling in she forced herself into the centre of the pile, happily settling down. Several sleepy gazes looked her as she settled, but they just shifted to accommodate and settled down once more.

Durian hummed happily as her charge found a place in the pile. She would like to join them, but given the circumstances it wasn't doable. Turning her head the green looked at the basket where her leader and the troublemaker were apparently getting in the middle of the squabble from earlier. Durian placed herself next to Blackcurrant, the two standing near the sleeping pile of their fair, but ready to rush forward to the basket if their leader called. It was highly unlikely she would. Oregano had raised several firelizards while still a hatchling herself, the only way she'd call on the fair for this was if something dramatic happened.

What Aria hoped would happen was the green would behave herself and scamper off, then she could go curl up somewhere warm and sleep off her meal. Instead a big blue snout pushed her over, how dare he! The small gold screeched at the insult, demanding he go away and mind his own business! Her fight was not with him but with her clutch-sister, who did he think he was to interfere? Aria wasn't going to back down, hunched defensively even if she was only a third his size. She would not stoop so low to pick a fight with Strawberry wasn't so stupid to do so after Oregano joined him.

Dratani slowly crept closer. Now that adults were getting involved things were getting out of hand. A fight among hatchlings was at least an even playing field. "Aria! Waltz! Come back, it's not worth it!"

Waltz shrilled a warning, to Aria and the wilds. Wings wide to make himself look bigger he placed a fore talon on his gold sister's hind leg for support and comfort. They need not fight, there had been enough of that today! Oregano and Strawberry could take the green away if they wanted her, she was being troublesome and he and Aria were only trying to break them up. They would take the brown, whether he wanted to be with them or find someone else.

Oregano's Fair

Strawberry snorted at the tiny gold. What fight? The gold wasn't fighting her sister, she was gloating. The green couldn't get up and that was when she chose to show up? Typical metallic. Strawberry doubted the bronze was any better, but at least he was being quiet about it. The blue stood firmly between the two. What was she going to do really? Screech him to death. Take away that she was bigger and now she didn't want to fight. Strawberry was once again relieved he hadn't been born into some gold's fair.

When the pair's human appeared the blue tittered. Yes, run along. Your master is calling you. Oregano nudged her fairmate with a wing. Don't pick on children, Strawberry. They were better than that. Looking down at Waltz the green was undeterred by his attempts to look bigger, but at least he was acting rationally. They would take the green, if she wanted to come with them. Any firelizard without a home was welcome with them. Turning away from the metallic siblings she lowered her head to the pinned green. The brown wasn't really her concern. He hadn't shown unpredictable violence, but still the way his claws bit into the green concerned him.

Gently she pressed her snout to #24. Come with them, little sister. Leave this fight behind and join them. They'd fly free, together, and her fair would always be there to back her up so things like this didn't happen. The green crooned, hoping the green would be able to see past her anger. Tilting her head she looked up at the brown while remaining level with #24. That was enough. She would handle the green from here, even if she did still want to fight, he didn't need to hang around. #2 should go get some food. The green crooned sweetly. Didn't he deserve it?

The victor of the fight was fairly obvious, if it could even be called a fight. #2, with one paw on the green's stomach and the other on her neck, was keeping her down with his weight and the implicit threat of his claws on her throat. #24 was angry, the whirling red of her eyes gave that away, but she was running out of precious energy. Hatching, the real fight with her sister, and now this, all on an empty stomach was starting to take a serious toll on the small green's body. She was so tired after everything else that had happened, but this brown still angered her so. Acting like he was so much better than everyone else.

Her anger at him temporary found a new target. Two of her clutchsiblings returned to the basket, just to take the brown's side. The bronze chirped at #2 and the green was insulted. Help him? Did it look like he needed help? The gold screamed in her face and #24 flinched away. Oh, that was what they meant by help was it? Come to put her in her place? Crush her down so they could sit at the top of the heap where they felt they belonged. That seemed about right. #24 tried to lunge forward to snap at the gold, but it was clear there was no energy in it and her head fell back against the sand.

#2 was quite pleased to see his siblings, he hummed pleasantly and straightened up. That was very kind of them, but there was no need really. He could handle this one without even exerting himself. Then an adult blue butt him and the brown looked considerably less than impressed. #24 had wronged him first, he was well within his rights to punish her. The adults weren't showing aggression, just disapproval, so #2 was far from intimidated. He didn't need their approval, their opinion of him didn't mean anything to him. Still it seemed his siblings were a little more ruffled by the whole thing.

There wasn't much #24 could do from her place. The green hadn't expected anyone to intervene to support her, especially not two. It was nice to have someone in between her and the angry gold, but it would be nicer still if she didn't still have the brown's weight on her and his claws in her hide. A snout pushed into her and the little green found herself leaning back into the gentle touch. #24 had been fighting since she first cracked her shell, it was nice have a gentle touch.

To his credit #2 allowed the older green to interact with his pinned sister. He could feel that all the fight had left her at this point. The brown didn't really care what happened to his clutchmate, so long as she wasn't bothering him anymore. The closest thing he could feel for her was pity. If the older pair wanted to be saddled with that then who was he to stop them? The green crooned and #2 couldn't help but agree. She was right, he did deserve it. Even a ruffian like these two wilds could be correct it seemed. He stepped off the small green and walked away with his head held high. Without even a glance he walked around the blue, over to his two siblings. Now that had been dealt with they could leave. No reason staying here with the rabble any longer.

Echeveria Brown - Hardy, Unforgiving, Dignified

With the brown gone #24 sucked in a deep breath. Ichor began to ooze from the pinpoints on her neck. It took a lot of effort to get herself upright, turning her head to push against that of Oregano with a quiet hum of thanks. It took even more still to climb to her feet. #24 would like to go now, she was so tired and so sore. Flying free sounded lovely, but for now she was far too drained. Perhaps later?

Saris
One was a gift. Two, that was more then she could have asked for. Green and blue now had budging bellies, both yawning and barely able to stay on their feet. The basket was empty of all but egg shards, and Saris admitted she should have left long ago to get the blue's wounds treated. Standing, she looked at the green dragon. Not trusting her voice to be heard, she bobbed in an awkward bow in thanks so not to disturb her two hatchlings before rushing off to find a healer.

Dratani
Aria stayed crouched until the wilds turned to leave, just in case Strawberry wanted to knock her over one more time. Waltz had to give her a tap to reassure her it was time to leave, turning to the brown with an apologetic chirp, they had tried to help and nearly made things worse. It was all over now, they could go now where their nice person would feed them and give them a warm comfy place to sleep.

Dratani saw it was safe to retrieve her firelizards, picking her irritated gold carefully. If the confrontation hadn't been enough all the moving around had upset her her over full stomach. Putting out a hand for Waltz to climb on, the bronze instead inclined his head to allow the brown to go first. The Harper was now worried, two firelizards was a handful, three was going to be a juggling act. Physically and well as metaphorically. Picking up on his owners worry, Waltz flew up and perched on her shoulder. More room there.

There wasn't much left of the meat scraps to scavenge, but Dratani scraped up a handful to offer... what to call him? Timbre sounded perfect. Before leaving with her small fair, there was still one thing left to do. "Thank you, Ostarath!" The harper would have waved, but that was hard to do with arms full of hatchlings. It was only polite to thank the one who had organised all this.

Now she had better get her wards settled.
