Flamestar laid stretched out beneath the High ledge, enjoying the sun. He should probably get on with training Sunpaw or organizing patrols or something, but for the moment he just want to bask in the warmth. It had been difficult for all the clans when sickness ripped through them. They lost half their members and almost every elder was gone. Kits were lost too. It had been devastating. But Flamestar didn't like to think about that. There was nothing they could do to bring back the dead. They could only move forward. Yawning, he rolled over onto his back. "Sunpaw!" he called, "Sunpaw, where are you?"
Sunpaw poked his head out of the apprentice's den and looked around towards the call. He tried not to start when he heard Flamestar call his name. He wasn't trouble, the leader was his mentor, after all. It was a high honor. He trotted across the clearing to where Flamestar was stretched out and tried not look surprised at the position he was in or let out too loud of a purr. "Yes, Flamestar?" he greeted with a dip of his head. "You wanted me?"

Flamestar tipped his head up and smiled. "Ah! There you are!" he exclaimed, "Are you ready for some training? I was thinking I could show you some new battle moves today just in case any rogues try to take advantage of the clan's weakened state. Then maybe we can hunt afterwards."
Moonpelt lay nearby, finishing off a magpie. Her leader was on to something. It had been tough training and patrolling with the sickness sweeping through the clans. She hoped that no rogues would take advantage of that and attack them. When she had finished her meal, she rose to her paws and stretched, looking around for her own apprentice. It was about time Silverpaw was put back on a strict training schedule.

Sunpaw held his head high and tried not to puff out his chest with excitement. His leader was so smart! He didn't know what the clan would do without him! "Of course!" he replied. "Let anyone try to attack ThunderClan! We'll show them that we're not weak!" And he was looking forward to some hunting as well.
Moonpelt made her way over to the apprentices den, the mostly likely spot that Silverpaw would be. She didn't want her apprentice falling behind, especially with Flamestar being so diligent with Sunpaw. "Silverpaw, are you over here?" she called, poking her head into the den.
