Episode 75 of 224

Marik uses Joey to battle against Yugi in a twisted duel. If either of them loses, they sink to the bottom of the ocean. If time runs out, they both go under. If they try and stop the duel, Tea gets crushed by a crate.

Yugi shows Joey the red eyes black dragon which works for a time, but then Yugi gives Joey his millennium puzzle in a desperate attempt to break Joey free of Marik's mind control.

Still under Marik's control, Joey prepares to finish off Yugi in a duel.

Episode 78 of 224

Joey beats Yugi, but not until he was freed from Marik's mind control. Then Joey saves Yugi from drowning by using the key to unlock the shackles. Serenity saves Joey from drowning so everyone is now safe and Marik is the big loser. Seto's chopper saved Tea.

Evil Bakura wins 6 locator cards by dueling one weak duelist and Bonz. Therefore Bakura is in the finals along with Joey, Yugi, Seto, and Mai. Oh, and Marik is in the finals too.

A movie star named Jean Claude wants to battle Mai to prove to her that he can hold his own and if he wins she becomes his wife, but Jean Claude proves that he is nothing but a fraud and Joey ends up being the big hero.

All of the battle city finalists have boarded Kaiba's blimp as instructed and are now being selected for their first duels.

Yugi faces off against Bakura in the first round and Bakura leads Yugi into a trap.

Bakura plans on finishing Yugi by using a trap card called destiny board which spells out the word final each turn. So in 5 turns Yugi would be done, however, Yugi thwarted that plan until this last card that Bakura drew.

Yugi wins against Bakura, but Bakura needs medical attention so everyone save for Tea is going to see kaiba about landing the blimp in order to get Bakura to the hospital.

Shadi tells the story to Yugi how Pegasus got his hands on the Egyptian God cards and how if Yugi doesn't stop Marik from obtaining all three cards, the world is doomed.

Joey faces off against Odion and Odion's deck is full of traps. But, just as Joey thinks he has Odion all figured out, he reveals trap monsters that could wipe out the rest of Joey's life points.

Joey makes a slight comeback, but then Odion summons the mystical beast of serket, a very powerful card.

Just as Odion was about to destroy Joey and the rest of his life points, Marik commands of Odion to play the winged dragon of ra.

Odion loses against Joey when Joey was the first to stand after being struck by lightning. The evil Marik reveals himself at last and declares that he will become the new pharoh.
