after encountering Garaka, Boruto and the others meet aulda, a good snake. With the help of Aulda, Boruto and the others take on Garaka where Chouchou was turned to stone.

Boruto forms a contract with Garaka so that Garaka can see whether or not Boruto brings Mitsuki back. If Boruto should fail, then Garaka gets to eat Boruto.

Boruto and Shikadai catches up with the enemy, but not quite Mitsuki.

When Boruto catches up with Mitsuki, Mitsuki tells Boruto that he is going with the enemy.

Mitsuki and the one called Seikei form a bond when Seikei was falling apart.

Boruto has a dream about what to do about Mitsuki before he awakens. He tells the others what his plan is and that is to meet with the old stone Kage who is right now in the hospital. A little clay octa has befriended Inojin as it is just a baby.

Boruto, Shikadai, Sarada, and Chocho have arrived in the land of stone looking for Ohnoki the old Kage of stone when Chocho's tummy would not stop grumbling. They went to a restaurant, had their fill and even found out the whereabouts of Ohnoki. But, when Boruto got onto the topic of Mistuki, Ohnoki turned cold as he was the secret boss behind Mitsuki's disappearance.

When Onoki reveals his plan, Shikidai was captured. Shikadai finds the lady Kurosutchi where Kuroshutchi reveals more on what Onoki plans to do. The two plan to escape while Boruto has an unconscious Onoki on his back carrying him away from the persuing Octa.

Onoki wakes up in a training ground with Boruto and claims they are trapped until Boruto can obtain the heart stone. Meanwhile, Mitsuki meets Ku and they talk about what is going to happen and the others begin to start cracking as if they are not going to last much longer.

After a while a hidden stone shinobi named Sekki shows up looking for his heart stone, but the problem is he keeps making excuses for why he cannot do things. When he and Boruto were facing a giant wolf, Sekki finds his heart stone and instead of running from the beast, he allows Boruto to help him hit the wolf, causing a path to open for him, Boruto and Onoki. Onoki then tells Boruto that there is something that he must show Boruto to help him understand why he wants to create a world of peace in the fashion that he's going.

After Onoki explains absolutely everything to Boruto, there is just one thing Boruto doesn't understand. If fabrications have wills of their own, how are they any different from humans save for how they were created? How can Onoki sacrifice fabrications when his plan was to have peace for everyone?

Despite Onoki's wishes, the fabrications have begun a hostile take over of the hidden stone village and are planning on framing Onoki about it.

Realizing that Inojin was in trouble, the octa on the heroes' side rushes to Inojin's aid and blinds the bad guy's sight while Chocho used a human boulder technique. The Octa dies and Inojin is sad because of it.

The plan to save the stone village from the fabrications continues with Boruto, Sarada, Onoki, and Lady Tsuchikage helping. Oh, and Konohamaru is helping too. Mitsuki tricked the other fabrications never really going along with their plan once he realized that they were going too far.

The only fabrication on the enemy's side is Ku. Everyone else is dead. Mitsuki has joined up with Boruto and Sarada to take Ku down, but Ku now has a heart.
