Wandless Magic Professor Jeremy Lovette
Thursdays 1:00pm to 1:45pm (Updated on Sundays)
The Wandless Magic classroom is laid out peculiarly. There are seats and tables along the walls for people to sit at, but the front and center of the room have been cleared away, leaving a large area for people to practice spells with plenty of room. The professor's desk is situated in a corner facing the door to the classroom, and various materials to use during spellwork are stored in a cabinet next to it. The chalkboard at the front has the lesson's notes on it, although it also has doodles in the corners displaying particular spells being used wandlessly. Overall the classroom gives off an easy-going air with various eclectic touches denoting a more bohemian style of decorating.
Rules of the Classroom Wands are not permitted to be used in class. No knives in class. Horseplay won't be tolerated and could get the perpetrators ejected from the classroom. If an argument starts up, the participants will be escorted out of the classroom. There is no such thing as 'I can't do it' in class unless you're my wife. I hear the word 'mudblood' one time and I will eject the person who said it from class. *unless you're a Proud Mudblood in which case carry on

Jer had to approach the older years a bit differently than the third years, if for no other reason than one, he had to figure out what they knew, and two, he had to correct any bad habits that their previous teachers had instilled in the classes before his arrival. So while he'd decided to put on an act for the younger group, when it came to the older students, he was already seated at the edge of his desk, watching them come in and noting which ones were there. He didn't know their names, but he was good at faces, and when the last of the students entered, he gestured to shut the door magically before he stood in front of the class. He gave them a once over before he nodded in satisfaction. "Welcome back ta class. As ya can tell, I ain' yer old teacher. Jeremy Lovette, an' I will be teachin' ya wandless magic from 'ere 'til ya graduate. Jus' call me Jer. Professor is fer someone older than me, an' I don' feel li' a professor. I ain't gonna ge' inta th' 'ole spiel 'bout th' class, cause I kna ya learned tha' las' year. 'Owever, I am gonna find ou' jus' wot ya learned from th' las' professor."
He crossed his arms, jerking his head to the side a bit to cause the rules of the class to magically appear on the board. "Those are th' rules o' th' classroom. Yes, I will be makin' sure tha' none o' ya decide ta use any slurs. I don' care 'ow ya were raised, ain' no excuse ta say mudblood or somefink o' tha' nature. If you're a muggleborn an' choose ta use i', that's one thing, 'cause I call meself tha' an' proud. Th' rule fer knives is specifically fer those tha' fink they kna 'ow ta use 'em. I ain' seen yer knifework, an' I don' care. Th' rule fer wands is pretty self-explanatory. Res' is self-explanatory too. Ya come in ta learn, no' ta do stupid shite. Long as ya 'appen ta follow 'em, we'll be righ' as rain."
Jerking his head again, other words appeared on the board. Jer smirked as he clapped his hands together and sheets of paper drifted to each of the desks in front of each student. Still smirking, he stood up properly and gestured, collecting all of the wands n the class into a bin on his desk. "Alwite, now tha' we go' tha' outta th' way, we're gonna be goin' over wot ya learned. I wan' each o' ya ta stand, give yer moniker, an' try an' cas' Wingardium Leviosa on th' paper in fron' o' ya. After tha', yer gonna tell me somefink ya learned in class las' year. I ain' takin' points off if ya can' lif' th' paper, so no pressure. We'll ge' inta tha' shite later. Wite now, it's all teachin' me 'bout all o' ya."

Old but, I'm not that old Young, but I'm not that bold And I don't think the world is sold I'm just doing what we're told And I feel something so wrong by doing the right thing I could lie, couldn't I, couldn't I? Everything that drowns me makes me wanna fly

Maxwell Elias Heulwen ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Gryffindor Fourth Year ❆ Reserve Chaser Fourteen Year Old ❆ Half-blood ❆ Adopted Location : Wandless Magic (Thursday 1:00pm)
Max headed to his first class of the day, equally grateful that Thursday was a late start. He munched on an apple as he made his way to class. By the time he walked in it was down to the core. Entering the classroom, the fourth year Gryffindor tossed his scraps into the garbage before taking a seat. Tossing his bag onto the floor, he was curious about who this new professor was.
Right off the bat the new professor seemed pretty cool. He was pretty chill and wasn’t near as professional as other professors. He didn’t want to be called professor and his rules were insane (insane good). Like who would bring a knife to class never mind school. Max wondered if he was speaking from experience. Either way he was awesome.
Watching as his wand leave its spot in his bag and into the bin at the front, Max wondered what they’d get up to today besides the standard rules and such. When they got to that point, he prepared himself. “Name’s Maxwell Heulwen. You can call me Max.” He stood and introduced himself. “Wingardium Leviosa,” He said using his hand in the same way he would his wand. The paper slowly floated up a little before floating back down. It wasn’t as high as he would have liked but at least it went up. He’d been practicing. “Last year we learned that emotional balance is importance when performing magic wandlessly.” Max replied afterwards. He liked to think he was alright with that one.
